We have more Testing Stations in place. There are a number of reported cases on the increase. I’m not sure what the 18th will bring to Leicester. I can only see us remaining in Lockdown for a further few weeks.

14th July 2020 at 1:27 pm #128292C67, thanks for the kind words mate. What a situation we are all in. Hope You and Your Family are Well.
From the 24th, we all in the UK have to wear masks. We also have to be prepared for the second wave.
Whilst work life overall has been positive, the area I’m in is high risk. As I’ve recently been on holiday, it’s made me think and raise a level of doubt. I can only keep doing what I have been doing, maintaining the discipline of social distancing, hand sanitizing and only really going to work and coming home.

14th July 2020 at 1:53 pm #128299It’s crazy how much the UK lags behind everyone else yet is one of the worst affected. I have been wearing masks for months now. It’s like when the UK took much longer than other European countries to ban or impose quarantine measures on visitors from hot zones. Too little and far too late.

14th July 2020 at 1:59 pm #128300Nine, you as well mate. Yes that’s likely to happen obviously with this news coming in. I was in an Asda store that other day and they were selling them in packs of 4 for as little as Β£1. We’ll be trying to get hold of some.

14th July 2020 at 2:03 pm #128301I don’t think the recent protestations helped as definitely condemn our supporters out on stampede to celebrate our Title Win. None of that is priority when you put it all into context as to how many lives have been lost and how dangerous the rate of transmission is when one has been affected.

14th July 2020 at 4:33 pm #128304The problem is and will continue to be…PEOPLE…..they have to wait for some Govt guidance instead of using common sense…yes we are a “nanny state”. Why is everyone moaning because they cannot go on a trip abroad? there are options including saving your money for when it counts later

14th July 2020 at 5:04 pm #128306Brian, fully agree.
In some quarters of our Country, it’s been a combination of individuals being reckless, ignorant and irresponsible.
There are those that have had to stay at home in isolation due to specific health conditions or those shielding. And these are the ones that have been following government guidelines yet some of them have been anxious in returning back to work for example and integrating back into society.

14th July 2020 at 5:06 pm #128307The Pub’s been one of the examples where the distancing has been effectively non-existent. A couple of Pints of Beer in and people are just fall out of the new-reality.

Hurrah for chanting through a mask… or drinking at halftime in the bars…. lets hope it goes well and the thing clears up by October… cough cough, Wonder if they’ll take temperatures of people going into the ground.. Lots to clear up over this.

17th July 2020 at 2:44 pm #130509Ireland is not looking to move forward as cases have doubled in the last week. We are bsck double figures. Still not high at all but we have not moved forward as planned for this Monday
The uk are looking to re open stadiums etc in October and have opened pubs yet are still in a bad way???
I havenβt been following the uk in recent weeks. Huge concerns over here now for a 2nd wave.
The r Clint was at 0.7 a few weeks ago and now is at 1.7. House parties a huge huge problem
We have a new government and they are fucking idiots . Bigger idiots then the previous guys who had done a half decent job through all this
Ireland is governed by fucking morons

17th July 2020 at 3:17 pm #130530Sean….like I have said before…the biggest problem in all this is. PEOPLE….they just do not use or abide by common sense. I have little confidence in any politicians of this day and age, whatever party. Football to me is not even secondary in priorities

17th July 2020 at 4:25 pm #130567Happy to have rebooked a Hair Appointment that was originally for the 6th July. Feel like a Caveman! Leicester ‘redrawn’ their map. Pubs-wise etc, any entrances will have to be ‘prescreened’ for their Post Codes. There are plenty of Police and there have been Helicopters.
We need greater emphasis on Testing and pro-activeness all round; Order Face-shields for work and for Family.
Still of a High Risk here, so have to be ultra careful how we tread.
