13th May 2018 at 5:25 pm #21614Staggering 100 points.
I’m not sure whether this will be repeated instantly or ever again, but this caps off a truly wonderful season for the Blue of Manchester.
Congratulations City!

13th May 2018 at 9:50 pm #21649Cheers NB.
I celebrated the Jesus goal nearly as much as the Aguerooooooooo one……………………I did say nearly.
It’s only just sinking in what a staggering achievement reaching 100 points is.
This season is now over and we go again in August. But for now, really enjoying the moment.
I strongly suspect next season will be a lot tougher and see Liverpool being our strongest opponent, if they can ditch the inconsistency, especially against the ‘lesser lights’._____________________________

14th May 2018 at 9:42 am #21659Congrats to City for their record breaking season. never seen a team so intimidating as this City is. i’m not sure who will be managing Chelsea and Arsenal next season. but Klopp, Mourinho and Pochettino must have already drawn a plan to counter City next season.

14th May 2018 at 10:10 am #21660More relevant will be given City’s current strength what will be City’s plans this Summer.
It will be a hell of a task for anyone to overtake City in the PL next season no matter the team no matter the Manager and no matter who they might sign if City significantly add to their squad again in the Summer as I expect them to.

14th May 2018 at 12:26 pm #21669AnonymousChelseaman… I wrote on another site that City are playing PR games all over the media… It’s not just about what is spent on the pitch. expect another 250/300 million pound outlay on that this summer… Its the dark arts of media management I’m trying to work out. Expect another season of disunity among rival clubs who I believe are being destabilised by City’s vast network of PR companies and PR planted stories in the press masquerading as honest journalism…
You’ve witnessed it in Syria and I think we’re seeing the start of it in the EPL. Ever seen a seal clap at a funfair? apply that logic to city fans at the cashester stadium.
No hard feelings chaps. You’ve spent more money better than the rest on and off the field… enjoy the moment.

While i do understand where you are coming from. i’m not a believer of conspiracy theories. in my opinion City had won the league deservedly this season whilst breaking all records available. both United and Chelsea had their fair share of problems this season. but take nothing away from City. they had everything, goals, possession, style of play. they had been entertaining to watch. and being the first team to ever the reach the 100 mark caps off their fantastic season. i hope teams raise to the challenge next season. i’m hopeful there will be some competition.

14th May 2018 at 1:46 pm #21676To be fair if I was a Chelsea fan in the present, I wouldn’t be too despondent. You’ve won plenty of trophies and plenty of League Titles too.
The same team can’t win it back to back, and all the time.
It’s always difficult also to defend the trophy which is of course, Pep’s latest challenge for this club.

14th May 2018 at 2:18 pm #21679Like Chelseaman I don’t buy conspiracy theories and I don’t think we should be comparing the tragedy that is Syria to any football club . If City’s accounts are signed off by UEFA and they are then that’s it for me.
Moving to FFP 2 takes all off this off the agenda imo with all club’s limited to 100m Euros net spend in a season. It couldn’t get any clearer.

14th May 2018 at 3:14 pm #21682Anonymous9/ chelseaman… you’ll come around to my way of thinking. See how the attacks work on title chasing tens next season. Proof as always is in the pudding.
As for Syria… you guys believe in moderate rebels anymore. See car bomb outside hospital in idlib and inter malitia fighting over event days. Nice guys were funding/ training and arming.
Same pr techniques in full operation around city.

I don’t think if City conspires with the media. you will say the media has a soft spot for Pep where ever he managed. and then again i hate to say this but its down to his dignified approach. whereas others are disliked purely for their own personality. City have won twice in the last 6 years. and you can’t say all had been conspiracy. i totally have to disagree with you there. this season City came out the guns blazing, where ever they have gone they went for the win. ok you may say Mourinho and Conte had problems of their won, and were distracted.
Conte never came back from the holiday. the Conte we knew in 2016/17 was no more there. all his mind was distracted by factors outside his control. as for Mourinho. well the man loves to create controversies. and while it has benefited his team in the past. its clearly having a negative impact now. times have changed and the siege mentality that worked between 2004-2012 no longer works. and since the emergence of Guardiola and Klopp the the pragmatic approach of football has been declining. a change of tactic could be helpful that is why you see teams now are rushing to appoint Mauricio Sarri or Luis Enrique. its purely for their expansive football and all attacks.
As for the Syria issue. its a complicated issue. and one that you and i will never ever understand why its happening. my heart bleeds for the innocent people of Syria.

15th May 2018 at 4:35 pm #21722Reminds me of the old joke…
3 conspiracy theorists walk in to a bar.
You can’t tell me that was just coincidence.
