What a performance that was from spurs. Very professional in the first half and then we took over in the second. Bit of luck with the disallowed goal but st the same time their goal could’ve been disallowed for offside. Never a red card for super Jan who was immense tonight. Aurier in the second half was quality. Eriksen and Kane are something else!

That’s a big win for Spurs that Paxton. Terrible decision at the end to send off Vertonghen. Sounds like both City and Spurs have benefited from the Walker move, with Aurier looking strong too

Ed – city have got an excellent wing back in walker and it’s clear that whilst trippier is capable, he isn’t as good. Aurier had an excellent debut tonight and it’s good to bring in an experienced player. Think he’ll be an excellent acquisition provided he behaves himself. On the other hand it’s only one game but we’ll see how he carries on. Tactically poch got it absolutely spot on tonight and showed maturity with regards to European competition. 3 more wins and we should go through.

We’ll done to Spurs and City on two very good wins, disappointing for Liverpool to drop points at home after conceding so late but it’s not a disaster given the Maribor v Spartak result which leaves all 4 teams on 1 point so all still to play for.

Somewhat predictably it was my team that let me down on my bet. It’s beyond a joke, our inability to defend. 4 shots and they score from two of them, we have 20 odd and score from two of them. The game was there for the taking. Firmino scores the pen at 2-1 and you would think it would be game over, but the defensive errors just keep coming. Mainly Lovren last night, but again the defence get very little cover from the midfield. Still as 999 says, it’s not a disastrous result, but we SHOULD be in the box seat in this group, just like all the other English teams are. Well done to them (through gritted teeth!)

Coutinho got an unexpectedly fantastic reception last night when he came off the bench. It felt a bit f****** weird to me frankly. While I wouldn’t expect or want him booed or any shite like that, to give him a better reception than the players who actually DO want to play for your club sticks in the throat a little.
And he was crap when he came on!!
