6th March 2019 at 2:57 pm #34995Alongside the beast of course-VVD! Remember when everybody was laughing @ Klopp & Liverpool for paying £75m for him,and now-what a bargain it looks like!!!

6th March 2019 at 3:15 pm #34997Mav, I thi k everyone recognised what a good defender VVD was it was the size of the fee that was under question. I think he’s playing better than ever currently and £75m looks money very well spent.

6th March 2019 at 4:02 pm #3500227-Thats what I was saying m8-namely the size of the fee paid for VVD! It seems like a right bargains right now, considering that Leicester were asking for over £65m for Maguire not so long ago.

6th March 2019 at 4:43 pm #35006Mav, I reckon Maguire might go for more than that this Summer maye with United probably favourites.

6th March 2019 at 5:29 pm #35012I didnt see it myself, but wasn’t there some VAR controversy last night in the Madrid game? People Ive spoken to today say the decision took 4 minutes, and then it was wrong! Is that right?
I don’t want to start yet another VAR debate, but I really have fears about it in the Prem next season. Football is all about instantaneous joy and celebration, or despair, and it is taking one of the prime ingredients of the game away from us. How many times does it take a minute or more for a goal to be confirmed to be ok, thus removing a key element of what we all enjoy about the game. Also I am guessing that it will ultimately mean less goals, rather than more, and it’s goals I want to see, unless they are clearly wrongly awarded.
It’s a disaster about to happen!

6th March 2019 at 6:20 pm #35015I’m with HH when it comes to VAR, don’t want to see it anywhere near the game. Full stop.
As for last night, 4 minutes of nonsense, and from all the angels I saw it, it still didn’t really confirm whether the ball went out of play or not in the build-up (about 6 passes before the goal I may add). Complete waste of everybody’s time and ruined the moment for the players, the fans in the stands and very probably the people at home watching it live (I was watching a reply earlier today). A perfect example in my mind about how it’s potentially going to ruin the game.

6th March 2019 at 6:58 pm #35016From one angle it looked like the ball was fully over the mine and from another it didn’t
It was a joke.

6th March 2019 at 7:01 pm #35017It’s not very often I say this in a big away game, and it may come back to bite me, but I think we’ll win tonight. I don’t think we’ll do enough to go through but I think we’ll win. 2-1 I reckon.

6th March 2019 at 7:09 pm #35019It is Sean but if we’d won, say, 1-0 at OT we’d have gone there quite cagey but we’re going there with nothing to lose now and can just gamble a bit. If we do go a goal or 2 down, I hope we get the young lads on. Would be great experience for them in a big game like this and with the pressure off
