Chelsea use 3 center backs and two wing backs and automatically that’s 5 defenders and also two defensive midfielders. That’s one of the reason why they think Mendy seems so safe cos he hardly gets shots at him. Will these tactics work against Madrid, sadly don’t think so.

MistraMoos, that depends on tactics, are they right and left backs that go forwards when the opportunity arises, or, right and left sided midfielders who come back when needed. The phrases like wing backs and number 10s are pundit talk, as are formations, tactics are totally different…..Pagan

Real were very defensively well organised in the second leg v Liverpool with 4 at the back and 2 6’s in front of them and a great goalkeeper behind them.

They are a very versatile team and very strong both defensively and offensively be very tough to come through two legs against them but there are no easy teams in the Semi Finals of the CL.

Nobody gave Chelsea a chance in 2012 especially when Chelsea had John Terry sent off and we went 2 nil down in the Camp Nou v a great Barcelona team but somehow Chelsea came through.

Liverpool were down and out when 3 nil down v Milan at ht in the 2005 Final but look what happened. You just never know.

This season is far from over so I think it is premature to talk about next season, however, I am sure all teams have already started to plan ahead, who stays and who goes from there teams. The Pandemic hopefully will have brought some sanity to football. i would still like to see people back at work , safely, before holidays and sport….if it can be proven safe…ok…go for it. but my guess is the people wanting more now will be the first to blame anyone they can for letting them go to early. Such is life now. Me first society
