Didn’t see the game Lucky but the reports I’ve read suggest it was the linesmen who asked Haaland for his autograph and the Ref disallowed a perfectly good goal by Bellingham if accurate I doubt either will be officiating too many CL games going forwards.π

7th April 2021 at 1:51 pm #177188I think Real had more injuries to cope with last night than Liverpool.
You have to go with what you’ve got Liverpool have been flaky defensively for a while even before the injuries to VVD and Gomez.
Real used the ball over the top and pacey forwards as well as targeting TTA just as Villa did way back in September.
Liverpool need more pace at the centre of defence and TTA out of the back 4 he’s great with the ball at his feet but he is very vunerable defensively these are difficult problems for Klopp to solve now.
It’s still not over though Liverpool’s greatest strength is going forwards and they still have a great front 3/4 if they can get at Real early on and score a goal that could unsettle Real the problem is how Liverpool stop Real scoring an away goal but goals change games and if Liverpool can score first it could make it an interesting second leg.

7th April 2021 at 2:39 pm #177191Ah itβs game over nine mate.
I can take losing but having no fight or passion for the badge is inexcusable chumYe Real had a right winger at right back. Hazard, Ramos and Varane all missing.
The lack of desire in the first half was a disgrace. Strolling around. We totally got what we deserved

7th April 2021 at 3:09 pm #177192Yes very odd first half from Liverpool Sean, highlighted by the difference in how qaqthey approached the start of the second half.
It’s uphill mate but it’s not completely impossible it will be tough though but an early goal from Liverpool would be interesting.
Only Hazard of those player could be back in the second leg for Real and I can only see him being available from the bench. Great alternative for them from the bench though if they need him and he’s fit enough.

7th April 2021 at 10:44 pm #177203Good win that for Chelsea. Should be enough to see them through to the semi. It really is wide open the CL this year. No real stand out team.

8th April 2021 at 9:55 am #177205Expected win for Chelsea. One foot in the semi final. Really solid team and have a huge chance . Well done lads.
The Munich v psg was some game. Really brilliant to watch. I always feel againest a good forward line Munich can be caught out as they play so high.
Munich on the ball were fantastic though. Really exciting to watch.

8th April 2021 at 9:59 am #177206From what Iβve seen of Chelsea under tuchel, they remind me of contes Chelsea team. So compact and difficult to break down. They have enough firepower to get the 1st goal then itβs so difficult to break them down.
The football is a bit conservative but itβs absolutely winning football and they are going to be very difficult to beat
I think they would beat Marie over two legs as no way would tuchel let them play like they did againest us

8th April 2021 at 12:56 pm #177207Who’s Marie Sean? I reckon I could beat her over two legs, never mind Chelsea!
Agree about Tuchel. They’re not a particularly entertaining side to watch under him but much more effective than under Lampard. It’s that age old argument about performance vs results and Tuchel is so far delivering on the latter. It’s at least easier to build a more entertaining side to watch from a solid foundation than vice versa and you’d expect them to become more entertaining with time.
Speaking of Conte, what a job he’s doing with Inter. Surely due another big job soon, with all respect to Inter.

8th April 2021 at 2:34 pm #177209AnonymousChelsea should have kept Conte, that guy is a winner everywhere he goes, or maybe he wanted to leave. Macky bigger than Inter? Like who besides Barca and Real?

8th April 2021 at 4:17 pm #1772109, to be fair to MistraMoos he didnβt say heβd played with Messi, he said he was as gifted football wise as Lionel, you just presumed it was Messi, when in reality was Blair…..Pagan

9th April 2021 at 9:20 am #177218Ha ha very good pagan. I remember Lionel Blair well
On another note, if utd donβt win the Europa ole shoujd be sacked
Absolutely no one left in there to give them a game
A trophy abd 2nd place finish be a very good season for utd and might get ole another contract

9th April 2021 at 9:53 am #177219Agree Sean. Ole has bottled so many semi finals now. I’m not convinced he has enough of a winning mentality to win the EL either if I’m honest. If he does win it though, like you say 2nd and the EL is a decent enough season.
I doubt he’ll get sacked though if he gets second, regardless. I don’t think he’s the right man for the job and I never have. But nobody had Utd finishing as high as second at the start of the season. While ever he continues to make progress in the league (I think we’re still more than 10 points better off than last season) he’ll be safe I think.

9th April 2021 at 11:55 am #177222Consistency has certainly improved from last season Ed. I’d say there seems to be more belief and confidence in the team now, and they seem to have more of a backbone. We’ve all been critical of Ole. But there is certainly more stability there now. And the team is effective.
