Ed, I thought lackau did well last season. Anything between 15-20 pl goaks is a very good return in my opinion
He has everything to be top top class. He’s fast for a very big bloke. Two good feet but he’s just clumsy. He should be much better with his bsck to goal
It’s not just lackau. Pogba, martial and Rashford have all the attributes to be running a muck in the pl. big powerful fast players who are good on the ball but they are far to inconsistent.
Not sure whose to blame to be honest. It must be very frustrating for utd fans as these lads can really play

25th October 2018 at 11:17 am #27543Anonymousits time for lloris to be dropped and stripped of the captaincy. his head isnt right and its affecting the whole team. regular mistakes in big games, drink driving, letting the team down. he should’ve been dropped and stripped of captaincy the day after he was arrested. his actions on the pitch affect all the other players as well. after his ridiculous decision to come out last night the players heads went. the equaliser was a case of when, not if. yes you can point at other things as to why we didnt win, but ultimately when he got sent off, we were winning and had a chance of qualifying. now we have zero chance and potentially another season in the europa beckons for us – although we’ll probably lose in the first knockout round. very little to be cheerful about right now as a spurs fan. decent league position but performances have been dreadful. then we have the zero signings and stadium debacles to deal with.

25th October 2018 at 12:49 pm #27545Loris has made more mistakes over the last few seasons alright pax
Is Wynamma finished at spurs now? Hardly gets a look in and is a better idiom then Dier in my opinion

25th October 2018 at 1:08 pm #27547Anonymoussean – there are quite a few in that team that arent good enough. i still like wanyama but poch clearly doeasnt. dembele is finished. dier and winks arent good enough. and thats our entire central midfield. players like davies and sissoko should be at teams like west ham.

25th October 2018 at 2:35 pm #27550Not having BT Sport at home, and there now being no ITV highlights programme, I don’t get to see any Champions League matches other than my own team, though I did catch half hour of the Spurs game in the pub outside Anfield.
So were United as shit as everyone seems to be making out, or were Juve really that good? Did City coast their game? How are Real and Barca looking, and Dortmund”s thrashing of Atletico caught the eye? Did anyone see anything of the PSG-Napoli game last night?
Bloody hate these subscription channels and I think it’s very short sighted not to have a free to air highlights programme.

25th October 2018 at 3:20 pm #27551Wasplicker… according to the black and white interpretation of the off-side rule, there must be both the goalie and one “outfield” player between the attacker and the goal-line… but according the new gray area of “interferring” with play… who bloody knows… that’s the problem with gray areas….
Paxo… bit harsh cyber chum, last night was the best Spud performance since the 2nd half of the YooUtd game and over the course of the game we were the much better side. One goal disallowed, 2 woodworks, Harry looked like the player we all know and love and could have had a hat-trick if it weren’t for at least one bloody decent save and some decent last ditch tackles… verses a Toby-brainfart and the one misplaced pass Erik made all game. I don’t think Hugo made a save all game. We shot ourselves in the foot absolutely and lady luck wasn’t on our side last night, bloody annoying granted, but with the Wee Viking fella back in business I thought we looked decent for a change. Too little too late perhaps… guess we’ll find out Monday! 🙂

25th October 2018 at 4:00 pm #27553PSV are a poor team and Spurs should have comfortably won that game.
If Spurs drop into the EL they will rightly be one of the favourites to win it and they are quite capable of winning a domestic Cup.
The bigger picture though is that Spurs are now between a rock and a hard place and to retain players like Kane and Eriksen and truly compete for the CL and the PL they will need to be active in the transfer market and the new Stadium is hampering them doing that as the Summer transfer activity points to and is likely to for a while in the same way it hampered Arsenal after building the Emirates.
Spurs challenge will be hanging on to the likes of Kane and Eriksen if they struggle to compete for the bigger trophies through lack of transfer funds but if Spurs were forced into a period of restricted spending in the transfer market and they were to lose the likes of Kane and Eriksen it might allow them to build a better all round team if they invested the funds wisely.

25th October 2018 at 10:18 pm #27557I posted earlier today on the Chelsea site “It’s up to the young players to prove to Sarri they are worthy of inclusion and when they do get selected prove they are worthy of staying there. RLC has had chances but has always failed to grasp them and live up to the hype.”
Tonight Loftus Cheek lived up to the hype that was the kind of committed performances we saw from Loftus Cheek when playing in the Youth team that convinced me he was going to be a great player.
Obviously you have to take the strength of opposition into account but the lads got bags of ability and if he applies himself and remains focused there is no reason why he shouldn’t have a great career at Chelsea.
Good performance all round bar going to sleep for the Bate goal.
