Ya LD, I’m disappointed that we got so close to being drawn against my buddies new city’s team , cause I may have headed over for it as he has a good chance of getting tickets. I am however pleased to see that it’s just a mathematical situation and not a frak up.
All happy with your draws? Besides wanting to draw Villa, I really don’t care who we got, as long as it wasnt a Portuguese team. Ya, we usually smash them but we’ve been knocked out by Benfica in the past. I think the Portuguese teams are almost demotivating to the lads, so ya, Inter, grand.

Hmmm, I was about to say it probably is possible but not if it’s always going to exclude, in this way. So ya, it likely isnt, it would just exclude a team sooner, if you catch my drift.
Anyway, pleased to get Inter. A proper team, with some history.

No problem at all Cityboy. Just the luck of the draw but we seem cursed with knockout draws in recent years. Makes no difference in the end as you have to beat the best sides to win it eventually (which we won’t anwyay) but you still want to go as far as possible and maybe save the tougher draws for later into the tournament. City seem to always get nice draws in the cups. Obviously not suggesting anything is going on. It’s pure luck but frustrating nonetheless.

What a complete farce that Champions League draw was. Now while I donβt necessarily think it was fixed and they got caught out, it certainly does add fuel to the fire for those who think UEFA are a corrupt organisation. My club has certainly lost out in the re-draw. Undoubtedly we would have preferred Salzburg to Inter, and I would have fancied us 95 times out of a 100 to have gone through there, maybe more. Inter? Weβre still favourites, but it wouldnβt be the biggest shock in the world for them to beat us, Still give us a 75% of going through, but I preferred the odds against Salzburg, thatβs for sure

Rover, United influence? How about getting the easiest draw TWICE?! We went from the hardest to the second hardest draw. Also, it was Uefa who messed up. Atletico admitted they were going to find out what was going on. Crazy to think anyone thinks this can be Utd’s doing π
We are in talks with UEFA to ask for explanations and a solution after the mistakes made in the Champions League round of 16 draw.
