Mak @ 10:35, lol how many times did I have a scrap with myself because of that 3-0 loss 😀
Jokes and messing around to one side, it’s easy for me to talk like this now, but last Wednesday was real bad and still can’t believe what I’ve just witnessed.
It’ll take a few days to take it all in properly.

If anyone needs entertaining after that, read back through the last 2 hours of Chucky Mc Cubbies posts ??????
This Clown called Liverpool a 70’s team… Look how many posts he made in the first half, still convinced Barca would win…..Sorry bitter Chubster back to whispering in the corner pal…HUGE congratulations to Anfield, LFC fans globally and come on Spurs despite your ODD idiot supporter!

7th May 2019 at 10:48 pm #40331This does not look like a group of players who would just play for the money:

7th May 2019 at 10:52 pm #40332Anonymous“Fabhino has been a brilliant buy. Him,vvd and Alison have given this team a stiff spine
Still in shock. That’s why we love football”
Fabinho was MOTM for me and I think Alisson needed that performance. Obviously we needed it too though cause we were out if a lesser man was there. He made 2 great saves that essentially built the platform for success.
he doesnt save them and we never really get goings and just lsoe 2-1 or so.
Fabinho is like Roy Keane though.

7th May 2019 at 10:59 pm #40334That was right up there with Istanbul, if not better given the injuries we had. Just the sheer team performance of that. You won’t see much better.

7th May 2019 at 11:11 pm #40336AnonymousThe lads on here know the sense of injustice that we had after the last game. I did say just a sense of it , the score was what ti was but we did well for such an apparent battering. the funny thing is, you could apply similar thought to this tie, although not on quite the same level. Barca weren’t as dominant as we were in the reverse.. but they had some really great attacks.
I think on another day, they score and we’re either out or working much much harder again.
I’m gonna say this right now though. This has absorbed the blow of losing the PL (95% chance anyway). It isnt a CL win but it’s a comeback that feels every bit as good as it.
As you boys also know, there was some pride to reacquire. I think most fans had a fantasy and they also had a realistic desire to leave a mark on Barca, as they strode off to the final.
I no longer care that City are going to beat us to the title even if we beat Wolves.
My guess is that fans will stop shitting on Gini from here on. What a player.

7th May 2019 at 11:19 pm #40338Quite simply the best night I’ve ever had at Anfield in my 50 years of going there. In no condition to be remotely coherent so I’ll save boring you all about it till tomorrow!

7th May 2019 at 11:23 pm #40340Three seasons in Europe for Liverpool with Klopp – and three seasons undefeated over two legs in European competition…Remarkable.

7th May 2019 at 11:29 pm #40341Hope Salah, Firmino and Ox can all play in the Final.
Klopp really doesn’t need to rest anyone as it’s almost a month away.
Some talk I came across about Liverpool getting an early goal V Wolves. If City get wind of this and they themselves are trailing, nerves at Brighton could set-in, we shall see.
We gotta prepare for Sunday and just make sure our own job is complete. What ever will be will be.
We now have something new too look forward too and something that’s in the balance but winnable 🙂

7th May 2019 at 11:31 pm #40342AnonymousHH, glad you go to see it live. I think this is one of those scenarios where you’ve got to go back and remember all the little small things that you can.. cause its this going back process that solidifies things in your long term memory.
as amazing as it is to be through to the final, honestly.. we’ve been internally celebrating a WIN against Barca under the most impossible of scenarios.. i think it’ll be tomorrow before we realise that it is just another step towards a cup, with a lot more to do yet.
I guess we get to watch the last game. I wont go for any team I don’t think.
We know about Spurs. if we hope for them to go through, they’ve got a really good chance of taking it. Then there is Ajax, who you would have said were the lesser side… had you not known that they knocked out real, then Juve and have since beaten Spurs in London… The thing is… There wasnt going to be a side who I wouldn’t have taken seriously. The talent was so well spread out for the quarters.
I will think about that shit tomorrow. Tonight is about a wonderful victory.
Cheers to all

8th May 2019 at 2:05 am #40348AnonymousJust watched the highlights a few times there. Holy crap, we smoked Barca.
I dunno if you lads remember the discussion before, where I said the previous match had been a kinda marker for where the club were in the world of football, in terms of the other top clubs. Like, i felt that we deserved a lot better than the 3-0 that we got at Barca but at the same time, you can’t really have a very strong argument against the result that you get, especially when it’s not down to bad calls etc etc (which it wasn’t). I’m delighted to not only make the CL final again but of course, to really exorcize the demons and beat the living **** out of them.
Alisson’s saves were even better in the replay, especially his arm against Alba. That was truly great positional and instinctive play combined. We let in a single goal and I think we are deflated to the point of failure.
Origi. I have previously said how much credit he deserved for that goal against Everton. He was the one player who DID NOT GIVE UP on what was really not even a chance, until the keeper dropped it. I said that although this was great and that he needs to be commended in his importance in keeping our title challenge alive, that he was likely still not good enough for the side.
Look, I’ve seen an awful lot of Origi and he lacks certain things while having some considerable strengths but you know.. he’s scored 4 SUPER important goals for us now and all when th4e chips were well and truly down.
I’m definitely man enough to sit here and admit that i was wrong about him and that he should remain at the club. I don’t know how ok he would be at being a squad player, it would take a master to kick one of the 3 out but you know, if he does this, he’ll get more game time next season.
Solanke, Ings and Sturridge to leave. Origi and Brewster to compete and cover for the front 3.
Do it.
Trent with that fake on the corner though… wow. Divok was alive to it. WTF like.

8th May 2019 at 6:03 am #40350AnonymousGreat for all Liverpool fans and still Firmino and Salah to come back, Ox should not be in the side, not good enough. Klop deserves to win a competition. He is fair in his selections without betraying attacking football. Still a couple of lucky players that should not be in the team though.

8th May 2019 at 6:14 am #40351Anyone got Tay Tay’s number, WTF did I just watch, literally unbelievable. I’d say no one would’ve predicted that but a mate I work with said to me last night (Oz time) he thought we could do it. I said mate your on some good shit. He said “ haven’t you learnt yet, never underestimate Liverpool at Anfield”. I get a msg after the game saying “How good was that, I told you”.
I don’t know what to say, watching Klopp after the 1st leg & during the week believing the tie wasn’t over. I was thinking to myself yeah you’ve got to say that but he actually did believe & does believe.
HH you lucky SOAB, what an experience. I’d love to watch the replay a couple of times tonight but I’m taking the daughter on a 2hr drive to see some so called singer, Pat Malone or something like that._____________________________
