Mav, I don’t think you’re helping with your Liverpool were beaten by a completely over the hill team who are nothing without an almost past it Messi. If I was a Liverpool fan reading that, that would probably make me feel worse. ?
The point you make re Roma is a good one but Barca went into that game thinking all they had to do was to turn up I’m not sure they’ll make the same mistake twice and importantly Liverpool don’t have the all important away goal which Roma had which is what knocked Liverpool out last season. But we’ll see.

Nine, I believe when I mentioned a meltdown, I was talking about what was coming. I just felt that Steveo’s post was a bit much. had a Liverpool supporter said the same thing, I’d still not liked it but when it’s from a different set of supporters and is basically finger wagging… Just not great stuff really, especially as it’s not easy to try and remain some bit objective. That match was a kick in the nuts. Honestly, it’s few matches that I’ve felt so bad after.
This season has been a crazy ride. I’ll be proud of the lads but it hasn’t always been enjoyable!! 😀

Without Messi Barca are an average team!
You cant do anything about missed chance!

If not then I don’t totally agree with the penalty. I can see how it might have been given and the defender was a complete idiot for barging into his back but I still think it would have been soft. If we allow that then there are gonna be too many penalties.
it definitely could have been given though, no doubt. Just not quite enough for me. We did have some really good chances and should have done better but we didn’t finish well. they did. We’re got to get back to the PL now and just make sure we win. We cant give up on all fronts, even if thats what some want.

Liverpool were the better team! For periods of the game they were but for periods of the game Barca were.
Liverpool had the better chances-till Dembele missed his 2 sitters! Probably but you don’t win games on better chances if you don’t put them away.
Barca were very happy with 1-0! Agreed.
Without Messi Barca are an average team! Nope without Messi Barca are a good team with him they are a very good team.

Without Messi Barca are an average team! – Barca have one if not the best player in the world, they’re not quite as good when he doesn’t play

Real allegedly looking to low ball Spurs for Eriksen in the Summer and if Levy won’t play ball they will sign him for free on a pre contract in January.
I fear they will adopt the same tactics for Hazard too can’t say I blame them why would Real pay silly money for players they can sign for nowt a few months later.
