Barca learnt from last season and conceding the away goal that is what took them out last season there’s no away goal this season and they were desperate not to concede one.
That’s the big difference between the Roma return leg last season and the Liverpool return leg this season if Liverpool had an away goal they would have a real chance of going through as it stands they have a mountain to climb and I suspect Barca will score at Anfield too.
I think Liverpool will win the return leg but the chance of Liverpool beating Barca by 4 clear goals to go through and Barca not scoring a goal at Anfield are limited.

27-I agree m8 re this Barca side,the likes of Pique,Alba,Busquets,Rakitic,Suares,Vidal and even the ET in Messi are close to their end.Just in the case of Real Madrid,this Barca too are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy past their best,and if you take Messi out of this Barca team you are left with and average side @ best!

Stevo, Jim Ratcliffe is a United fan who has Season tickets at Chelsea and who went every other week because he lived in London now his prime residence for tax purposes is Monaco.
I’m not sure how I would feel about having a United fan as an owner if it were to happen but I guess like Suarez he will have changed his allegiances and in Ratcliffe’s case were it to go ahead it would have cost him a lot of money to do so.
But back to thread it’s our turn tonight buddie can we handle it.?

Mak, fair point buddie there were some very objective and dignified comments from a number of Liverpool posters on here after the game you amongst them.
But wasn’t Stevo refering to the other site too I haven’t been on there so I don’t know and you did refer to Liverpool fans going into meltdown if both trophies were lost.
As disappointing as it would be if that were to happen as it now seems it might Liverpool have still had a great season imo and there’s no shame in being beaten by the likes of City and Barca. Cheers 999

Watched the highlights again. Liverpool were generally at least as good……apart from Messi.
I think if Salah had scored instead of hitting the post it might have been a different story.
The problem for the second leg is stopping Barca scoring. One goal and its absolutely over. Problem is Liverpool will have to pile forward and that will leave spaces.

Kylie-This Barca side were thrashed 3-0 by Roma last year after winning the home leg 4-1.The spine of this current team is very old-in terms of football i.e. Pique,Busquets,Rakitic,Suarez and even Messi cant go on 4ever,right?
They are one of the teams that face major rebuild over the next couple of years,alongside the likes of Bayern,Real,Juve,PSG.
