It’s arguably his best season yet. Suarez is lighting it up too.

9th April 2019 at 6:42 pm #37120Mav, I think you’re burying your head in the sand mate. Barca will be a very tough nut to crack for any team still left in the competition and Messi is still as good as he was and arguably still the best player in the world.
“But not United m8,they will of course spank us,but not Pool,City or Spuds” Just to jog your memory mate Barca beat Spurs 4-2 at Wembley and Messi was magnificent.

9th April 2019 at 6:52 pm #37122AnonymousI definitely won’t say that Barca wouldn’t spank us. You just don’t know what a top team might do to another on any given day. I also won’;t say that we won;t spank them, although I think it is less likely than the reverse.

9th April 2019 at 7:05 pm #37123Okay then, possibly the Spuds strongest 11, can’t quite say the same about City… although they do by far have the most impressive bench of the two…

9th April 2019 at 7:20 pm #37124Quite an interesting line-up. Robertson replaced for some reason and Milner added to our defence. Strong Midfield and hopefully Keita and Hendo push on from last Friday.
Hope we give a good account of ourselves tonight.

9th April 2019 at 7:31 pm #37126AnonymousGOMEZ MADE THE BENCH! So much for another 2 weeks! I mean, I expect them to ease him into it but if he’s fit enough for the bench, he’s close to being match fit.
Awesome. Anyway no surprise with the team. i think its the same as what i mentioned earlier. It’s good enough to win and win well, let’s hope that’s what they do.
edit, i see Lovren is starting instead of Matip. I guess Klopp is resting him whilst getting Lovren sharp.

9th April 2019 at 7:44 pm #37131AnonymousChucky, no matter who you’re comparing them with, City will always have the most impressive bench.
Crazy that Barca threw away a 4-1 lead alright but that’s football. It can dish up some crazy ****.

9th April 2019 at 7:54 pm #37137Considering Spuds haven’t had a 0-0 for about 96 games now, they’re never 0-0… 🙂

9th April 2019 at 7:54 pm #37138Bernardo Silva injured, Mendy not fit, Zinchenko injured. KDB not fit enough yet for two games in three days.
But…. bench looks stong.
We need to finish with an acceptable result before the second leg so its important to score._____________________________

9th April 2019 at 7:55 pm #37139“Lionel Messi is the top scorer in La Liga with 33 goals – one every 72 minutes. He’s surely going to win his third Golden Boot in a row. Luis Suarez is second on 20.
Messi is only one off his total from last season.” BBC match report from Saturday.
