23rd October 2019 at 8:11 pm #50828I believe it is. Will do him the world of good. So important we start sharing the burden of goals in midfield.

23rd October 2019 at 8:16 pm #50829Glad he is back at it Mikus, really felt for him with the injury he had, he was looking very good for you when it came. still remember that strike against city at anfield in CL, fantastic. If he gets back to that he will be a massive boost to your midfield like you said. If that was to be coincided with Keita hitting form I like the look of them as a pair with Fabinho holding for your midfield, particularly in the games against more defensive teams.

23rd October 2019 at 8:22 pm #50830Lucky, it’s what cost us last season in the league! We’ll be the absolute complete side if these 2 now start delivering.

23rd October 2019 at 8:24 pm #50831Lampard can thank his subs who should have started today, the likes of Hudson, Willian, Abraham and Mount cannot start every game, they end up losing their finnesse like they did today. It was a vital win in any event.

23rd October 2019 at 8:24 pm #50832I just find the combination of Henderson-Gini-Fabinho rigid with nothing expansive to offer.
Henderson just plays in his own little pocket of space and every now and then does one decent contribution, but nothing above and beyond.
What an eye-opener so far. It just goes to show our horizons are genuinely broadened when players are fit.

23rd October 2019 at 8:32 pm #50834Nil it depends on the opposition. Henderson will be first choice against the better teams because he offers much more to the overall team. He doesn’t just play in his own little space at all.
Should be 1-1 nothing wrong with that header.

23rd October 2019 at 8:51 pm #508363ps, okay mate. Both the Ref and VAR ruled the goal out.
Henderson has his flaws and Klopp substitutes him for that reason.
Good opportunities for depth of the squad.
Why aren’t you recognising and celebrating this? Don’t get you sometimes 3p’s in what you’re about?????
Maybe I should just join a stand alone Liverpool forum that can bias for 90 minutes.
Nothing wrong in that.

23rd October 2019 at 8:53 pm #50837Strange 1st half. Seems we scored too early and then got too laid back and let them back into it a bit like we did with Salzburg. Are we getting a bit oversure of ourselves in the CL this season being the current champions?

23rd October 2019 at 9:03 pm #50839AnonymousLD, Ox’s strike against City in the CL was out of this world… as Im saying it, did he score another against City? I think he did but my memory is shocking.
Ox has been back a good while now but has only played a tiny bit here or there. Honestly, he’s needed this start, so has Keita now but I’m a bit disappointed that Lallana has started here, however there are only so many spaces, even for the lads that need game time.
For me though, I don’t think Keita or Ox have looked good in the pieces they’ve had since coming back, so this 90 minutes might help get them to a higher level. Maybe I am harsher on our midfield players, or maybe it’s an area where we are below our rivals, in terms of quality.
I will say one thing though. Has Gomez done something to piss off Klopp? He can’t get near the starting 11, when we’ve started without both Matip and Trent? I know Gomez has been unhappy about starting behind Matip, he’s said so a few times. If he were working his hardest to get back into Klopp’s plans, surely he’d have started tonight? I’m genuinely worried now. You lads know how highly I rate Gomez and I know Klopp used to also. He would start ahead of Matip and Lovren. There was a time when he was edging Trent but that position is another story. I rate him as a CB.

23rd October 2019 at 9:20 pm #50843Boy have we been missing this – when we’re struggling to break teams down, a midfielder pops up and takes the pressure off.

23rd October 2019 at 9:24 pm #50844AnonymousThat 2nd goal… wow.
And Mikus, exactly. eg fecking zactly. This is what Keita was meant to offer us also, in his bursting forward. I am only half watching tonight game if I’m honest, so I’ll hold my opinion there but hopefully Klopp will give Lallana 20 minutes.
