16th December 2019 at 11:25 am #56782Probably the tie I wanted to avoid in Atletico Madrid. Good organised team although not what they were a couple of years ago. Also Liverpool have fairly good recent memories of their stadium!
Interesting that City chose Real this time. Should be an entertaining match.

16th December 2019 at 11:25 am #56783BREAKING: The Champions League round of 16 draw has been concluded, with Manchester City facing Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid hosting current European champions Liverpool.

Spurs will be the happiest. City should have enough for Real. Tough game for Chelsea even though Bayern aren’t what they were. Liverpool tough one but they should have enough

16th December 2019 at 11:31 am #56787I’m pleased overall. It’s not to under-estimated Athletico, but then I think of the other teams that we’ve avoided. You need that in Cup Competitions – a bit of swayed luck.
Napoli-Barca will be meaty – Ancelotti no longer there too.
Hope Man City annihilate Madrid.

16th December 2019 at 11:42 am #56789AnonymousLeipzig officials looked very happy with the draw as Spurs probably are too. The biggest tie by far is City vs Real. Chelsea a bit unlucky to draw Bayern but we English normally defeat the Huns, we could have drawn Atlanta as Valencia were lucky to finish top because of the head to head rule.

16th December 2019 at 11:54 am #56791Atletico are like the Spanish Napoli, theyβre a very rugged, awkward team. I donβt think anyone likes playing them. But time for Klopp to think about it.

16th December 2019 at 1:06 pm #56796Jose has a Champions League to his name with Porto, and I’m sure he’ll be able to suss out the opposition. Since he’s been at Tottenham, from an outsiders POV, he’s brought in resurgence and belief back into the team.
Over the 2 legs, I can see Spurs getting over the line.

16th December 2019 at 1:27 pm #56802No easy draws in the CL this season for the PL Clubs in the Round of 16..
If Barkley had been a bit more responsible we could have converted the penalty and had a draw v Atlanta but Chelsea aren’t good enough to go too much further in the CL this season anyway without they pull some rabbits out of the hat in January?
Hopefully we don’t concede 10 over the 2 legs.?

16th December 2019 at 1:33 pm #56803RB Leipzig shouldn’t be underestimated. They are top of the Bundersliga and 6 points ahead of 5th place Bayern.
