8th April 2018 at 8:57 am #19743I really wanted to avoid deleting posts but I’ve had to go through and delete a few which add absolutely nothing to the debate and are either direct insults or obvious windups. Let’s stick to the topic from now on please!

8th April 2018 at 12:15 pm #19758Iβm astound city let utd back in so easily. Shows what pogba can do when let off the leash. Interesting interview with pogba saying heβs not really allowed push on. Utd has nothing to lose so he played his natural game and was exceptional
I really donβt know if yday was a good thing or bad thing for Tuesday. City showed how quickly the can score goals. They should have been 5 up
Liverpool have crumbled many times in the past and an early city goal will make me very nervous but we will get chances and need to take them. Itβs perfectly set up for us but Iβm still very nervous

8th April 2018 at 12:17 pm #19759When I saw the team sheet I thought,we are “to lightweight up front”, at HT I still thought that and Utd would come back. We are leavng too much for Fernandinho to do, he was well overworked and only got a breather when KDB came on. We all have opinions onhow the team should have been selected but Sterling, was pitiful We looked “leggy” 10 minutes into the second half when Utd began getting to grips and that should have been the time to change at least three players. It makes me wonder where the priorities did lie, for me the Utd match was priority, what better to have gone into the Liverpool as Champions. I fear Mr Klopp has seen enough and he knows exactly what to do, he knows we will play the same way…..it has been a long season and City fans have had the pleasure of watching some outstnding football but the squad needs to sharpen up. I am now convinced that Pep will go for some aggression next season and will have singled some players out to arrive at the Etihad Credit Utd yesterday, after being outplayed and some fortunate decisions they put in a gritty performance and stuck at it. On Pogba, although he scored two goals was unconvincing, a younger Yaya he is certainly not. Sanchez, Utd was his choice but like at Arsenal couuld finish winning nothing. Utd will have to bring in more as well to make a chllenge. It is only money!!!!!

8th April 2018 at 12:42 pm #19766Sean, maybe that’s been United’s problem; the man-management.
You get the feeling Jose insists in keeping certain personalities in check and holding them back from truly flourishing or restricting them in a certain way to how they approach the game.
He had this with Joe Cole during his Chelsea days.
We’ve yet to see the real Pogba in my view.

8th April 2018 at 12:45 pm #19767Sean, yeah, I thought that too re next Tues.
They’re clearly going to go gung-ho and that first 10-20 spell in particular is going to be critical for us as far as resilience goes.
That’s why I’m a bit scared too and not counting my chickens. If we muster their pressure well and score at least on goal, then we stand a chance as they would need to score 5 overall to force the tie into extra time.

8th April 2018 at 2:47 pm #19774I cannot help thinking that warm weather break benifitted the stupid friendly internationals more than it did City and perhaps timeing could have been better. Whys do they time these internationals at an important part of the season, any club involved must curse them
