Sounds like Jesus will be out for a while which may well activate a January move for Sanchez?

31st December 2017 at 3:29 pm #10619Still unbeaten, clean sheet, I am not complaining. A few of the team do look as though they need a rest. Sane dissapoints me with this kind of performance, he should have been start man to day.Sterling certainly pepped them up a notch but we need Silva back, he would have opened up Palace

31st December 2017 at 3:38 pm #10621This is the treatment that Hazard has to do with in the last few seasons. And i think its disgusting to target a player. I can now see De Bruyne is added to the list of most marked players. And i won’t be Salah is added to that list.

31st December 2017 at 3:48 pm #10622Chelsea.man you are correct. Hazard is fouled all the time but maybe a few less rolling about would actually help, for all players.
What gets me though is how bad the referees have become. Moss today was awful. Zaha was a clear dive even WITHOUT replays. Will he be banned? No. Even if he is it doesnt help todays game. What about the yellow cards we got as a result? Will they be recinded? No.
Who said cheats never prosper. They do in the EPL._____________________________

31st December 2017 at 4:35 pm #10641CMan, you’re right Hazard suffers numerous brutal challenges week in and week out and gets little to no protection from the Referee’s.
Adlab, we’ve been here before Zaha should be charged but we need a season long panel for consistency.
Ironically even could Zalah have been sent off for diving it was so late into the game it would probably not have benefited City anyway.
City not the same team without the little Magician I’m not sure what his family problems are but I hope he solves them shortly.

31st December 2017 at 6:53 pm #10669Ref’s are human and make mistakes always have always will.
It’s easy for us to be right if we don’t have to take a decision in seconds and can watch the incident from several different angles over and over and in slo mo.

31st December 2017 at 7:28 pm #10670Nine. I understand that but recent decision have been off thr scale.
How did Alli and Kane not get reds. Puncheon today. Zaha today. The WBA penalty today.Sorry but it is getting worse.

31st December 2017 at 7:51 pm #10671Adlab, so whatβs the solution?
For me you canβt have zero mistakes, so you just have to take it on the chin. At the very least it gives something to moan about.

31st December 2017 at 8:11 pm #10673TV replay as in Cricket,Rugby, Tennis etc.
Each team is allowed say two challenges?
If the penalty had gone to a video ref he should have said no penalty. Similar with the WBA penalty.
Anything is better than what we have now. I think it would encourage more correct decisions as right now it is a farce._____________________________

31st December 2017 at 8:33 pm #10675Adlab, at what point do you review it, if the ref waves play on, and it is a penalty when is that reviewed.
Cricket and tennis have natural breaks, rugby has an advantage rule that has no time limit.
Personally as I say I like it the way it is…..Pagan

31st December 2017 at 9:08 pm #10681So team A is attacking they make a through ball to the striker who is clearly on side and Team B call for a review to stop play. Not in 5he spirit of the game but thatβs how it would be used….Pagan

31st December 2017 at 9:45 pm #10682Personally i’m in the camp that believes that such decisions where the referee is not sure, it should go to video assistant referee. Banning Zaha restrospectively won’t help the victims of those decisions. For instance that tackle on De Bruye was as bad as you could see. But so was tha Alli and Kane ones. If there was a video referee, then more would more decisions would be get right than wrong. Teams instruct their players to kick Hazard 90 minutes. And all the referee does is wave play on without booking that player. I think the English league may lose flair players if the referees don’t give enough protection.

31st December 2017 at 10:36 pm #10684De Bruyne is definitely being targeted and the refs are complicit in it as they are trying to even the games up a little. Hence the yellow cards. Which convieniently means no action can be taken on the perpetrators.

1st January 2018 at 7:13 am #10686I think we should all stop playing the “our players get kicked more” record, it’s from the same album as “Their Players Cheat More Than Ours”, “Book Him Ref”, “There Was Contact, Honest”, “Tactical Sub in the 93rd Minute” and “My Throw-in”. Skillful players from all sides get kicked by the oppo’s and if you think your own defenders are “innocent”, then you’re a bit of a numpty. Being nibbled at if you’re a top-dog player has been around since the invention of football boots.

1st January 2018 at 8:22 am #10688Chucky. It doesnt make premeditated assault right. Puncheon has a history of this. Also right or wrong the rules are different today.
I can remember that the fullback used to foul the winger badly in the first few minutes knowing he would get away with the first tackle.
Also refs did not fall for the Zaha type cheating so much. Mind you there was less of it._____________________________
