Greatest striker we’ve ever had Sean. He will be missed 🥲

24th May 2021 at 2:48 pm #179622Sergio Aguero alongside David Silva are two of my all time favourite PL players.
Wish Chelsea had bought the both of them.😊

24th May 2021 at 3:08 pm #179624Augerro/Silva/ Fernandinho/KDB/Kompany all loyal players , never bad moments, never wanting to move on model professionals. I am sure a few others can be put in there as well but Augerro and Silva stand out players…a Managers dream

29th May 2021 at 10:12 pm #179860A couple of players under par and one did not turn up…Sterling, who did not do the job Pep wanted him to do, I was therefore surprised he picked him. Pity about KDB but these things happen in football but I think it was a foul on him. Season over, into the history books, lets have a few in and a few out this summer. To get to the final was good but I am more pleased about the winning of the league and a Cup. Onwards and upwards I hope, we have had our first taste of a Final now, next year go on and win it.

30th May 2021 at 9:22 am #179884I mentioned a short while ago that City needed to be at the top of it’s game to beat Chelsea and patently it wasn’t. Arguments about the personnel/tactics chosen on the night will doubtless rumble on but that’a fairly pointless exercise. Overall, a very successful season in a strange environment, and hopefully City will be challenging again next season when we’ll see just how good Chelsea is with its new Manager for a full season.

30th May 2021 at 11:15 am #179891Surrey Blue..I would agree with that, it would be a strange fan that did not look at the season rather than one match. Another two trophies, we will see a few goings and comings now to freshen up the team for another go next season. I expect three players coming and four or five going. Pep will remain exceptional but not unbeatable because he will always put his plan first, sometimes , it does not work and he acknowledges this but he will win more than he looses

30th May 2021 at 4:01 pm #179905Top Club, top players. top Manager and top fans. 3 PL titles in 4 seasons takes some doing but it’s only a matter of time before you win Big Ears.

31st May 2021 at 9:19 am #1799123×9 – you may be right but it may need a change of approach with City possibly getting on the managerial merry go round and trying a different model. However, for Chelsea I must say the omens are promising and I’m expecting positive things from the Club next season, but I did fancy Utd for the league last year so what do I know!
Meanwhile, in trivia corner, I wonder if Pep was aware that Aguero had scored more goals against Chelsea (and Newcastle) than any other team(s) in the Premier League before he restricted him to a small spell the other night? Irrelevant I know, but it might turn up in some form in pub quizzes when they eventually reappear.
Finally, I’m sure the rest of us that haven’t mentioned it so far wish you all the very best over the coming months – and way beyond.

3rd June 2021 at 6:52 pm #180023Nine…go to the City site and listen to our Chairmans interview…two parts, 1&2. he discusses Augerro, ESL. mistakes responsibilities what the hopes are for the future. I just wonder how many Chairman go to so much trouble to explain to fans. It is really interesting to listen to

3rd June 2021 at 11:11 pm #180028I really don’t see a player like Harland fitting into a Pep system. Harland’s key attributes are his speed and strength, not really the attributes of a striker Pep has sought. Kane on the other hand I think would fit beautifully into a Pep system

4th June 2021 at 1:39 pm #180034If Haaland isn’t right for City I would be delighted for Chelsea to step in.😊

4th June 2021 at 6:32 pm #180039Foxy….with respect..I do not think Kane is right for City. Haarland has youth on his side and looks fit enough to go a season. If City do get Kane it will be a P/e deal and that, to me, depends on who is part of that. I still think City will go for a less well known player and develop Delap who is waiting to be called up.. I would be dissapointed if we got Kane because I think there are better options to fit Peps collective team However, I am only a fan and it is impossible to second guess Pep

4th June 2021 at 8:19 pm #180043Nine…he has just done Pt3. talks about Womens football, Academy, ( he states they have identified 2/3 Academy players who will step up next season) City global strategy and investment future. He has just about covered every aspect of City including one fan question who stated some parts of the Etihad were looking a bit scruffy now. Not sure where that maybe, I have never noticed anything. However, future investment will be made on facilities

16th June 2021 at 2:53 pm #180487Just seen City’s fixture list for the new season, waste of time entering into my diary because I am 100% sure many of the fixtures will be changed for TV. I do not know why the FA just do not give them the teams and ask them to sort it out!!! Fans loose out again because they cannot plan properly , particularly in these difficult times. I can see us playing the Charity Shield on Saturday and Spurs away on Sunday though!!!!

29th June 2021 at 2:27 pm #181019Fernandinho has signed a 1 yr extension, that is good news, carefully managed and his influence in the dressing room will be good for the team. Still plenty of football in him.

4th July 2021 at 5:05 pm #181339Brian Kidd has departed, a really good servant for City over last 12 years and has seen all the changes at the club. At 72 yr he has earned his rest but I am sure he will be still at City games. I have a feeling though City will find him something to do even watching out for local talent.

10th July 2021 at 7:51 pm #181525We will know at the end of next week who City will be signing. I think Grealish is a possibility, no more than that, Kane a NO. Griezman..possible, then again, City may just surprise us all
I am concerned about KDB injuries and if the summer break is long enough for him to get back to peak level. Stones Walker and Sterling need a rest, Foden should be OK
Gungdogan, Dias, Laporte, Torres, Bernado (if he is still with us) should have had sufficient rest. Same for Ederson, Jesus and FernandinhoI do not think Pep has to change much for next season, just get the new signings bedding in as quickly as possible.
