More than a few City followers were dreaming that Aguero would come on late in the ECL final and win it for their team. I suspect the odds on their hero even being involved in the game might have got that bit longer now, but who knows with Pep. However it does appear that efforts are being made to bring the game to England so we wait in hope. Wherever the venue,Β I think is very apparent is that City has to bring its Triple A game to the match against an impressive Chelsea for it to have any chance of a positive outcome.
I’m just wondering what the odds are of being defeated in an FA Cup semi, home league game and ECL final in consecutive games by the same opponent….

9th May 2021 at 1:38 pm #178891Last fixtures in the WSL, Chelsea need to win to be sure of the title with Man City being only 2 points behind. Man City win by 4 or more and Chelsea draw and the title goes to them……Pagan

9th May 2021 at 4:24 pm #178910It would be easy to critique Pep and City and I guess i have done it but my share, overall view, no matter what happens, there has been considerably more good moments than bad, for that I am happy. I think Augerro has just lost that sharpness now for EPL, he always give it his best but the halycion days are now in the past. I have enjoyed and admired his contribution to City, the penalty miss will not obscure that but have to say it was the worst penalty I have ever seen. Β You will be hard to replace

9th May 2021 at 4:33 pm #178914Chelseaβs title Brian, a good 5-0 win for the ladies, with Man City also winning today.
So thatβs the League and the League CupΒ done and dusted, Champions league final to come next Sunday and still in the FA Cup. Can they do the Quadruple? Barcelona are a force to be reckoned with, so it will be a really tough ask, but do that and its a possibility, but why stop there, if you include the Charity Shield it could be the quintet……Pagan

11th May 2021 at 8:48 pm #179012Planning for next season will now accelerate. Β City are a beatable side but Pep just keeps coming back with different plans and ideas, some work some do not and it will be much the same next season whatever the squad will be

11th May 2021 at 8:53 pm #179013Me too Brian. I know the title’s been ‘in the bag’ for a few weeks now but us City fans are a strange breed – if it can go tit’s up, it will do.
It’s still a great, great feeling to be Premier League Champions again – COYB

12th May 2021 at 5:23 pm #179061Brian, City going to Newcastle reminds me of 1968 when City had to win on the final day of the season to be sure of the title, which of course is what happened. There are faint echoes of that time now given that Utd lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland on the day. Happy memories apart from being the only time I have never been able to recall how I(we) got home to Manchester from a match – itβs a complete blank!!

14th May 2021 at 10:06 pm #179163Cracking game and win for City to night. I must admit when I saw the team at the start I thought….”no way”. No height in defence, player just back from injury and another on way out, no leader on the pitch but I guess the “system” won again. Sterling absent again,Jesus works for two but does not score enough. Torres ..we have a find in this lad. On to Brighton next

15th May 2021 at 8:12 am #179167Brian, I didn’t intend to watch last night’s game thinking it would be a nothing game as nothing was on the line but I had it on with the intention of turning over straight away to watch a film I’d been watching but it was such a good game I was hooked and never got to watch the film.π
Lovely goal by Torres and a hat trick which led me to recount your prediction that City might not even sign a striker, at the time I was certain City would but now I’m thinking you might have been right and it would be just like Pep to find his solution to the loss of Aguero internally just as you predicted. Cheers 9’s
