First of all…Chelsea, well done, deserved win. I can understand a few changes but not this many and those that played did not perform. I know Pep wants to give everybody a game but why so many everytime, it just disrupts the flow. As to individuals…Mendy…what can I say…he is the only player I know that plays backwards for 95% of his touches…compare that with Chilwell to day…always going forward. Jesus, Sterling and Torres just not up to standard, How the game changed when Foden and Gungdogan appeared but without forwards who can actually score we expect our defenders to do it for them as well. The slow start suited Chelsea and they grew more and more into the game. We hardly troubled the keeper throughout the game. Not a game to remember for a City fan. Pep lost this one to Tuchell

18th April 2021 at 4:43 pm #177639And so Chelsea follow Leeds in demonstrating how to make and take chances against City and thus win the game. So what now? It seems to me that City have a greater likelihood of ending up with no honours this year than taking all three that are still possible. I think itβs not unreasonable to expect a close race with Utd for the EPL title and a loss to PSG in the Champions League. Obviously, anything can happen in the Spurs game next week. All told, I think that most City followers would think that winning the title would represent a very good achievement in these very strange times but, whatever the outcome, it looks as if the Club has a lot to do in the close season.

18th April 2021 at 4:53 pm #177642The Quadruple is almost impossible to do even though Celtic did it in 1966/67 that was a long time ago in a less competitive League than the PL a less competitive domestic Cups than the current English Cups and a European Cup that was a bit was easier to win back then.

20th April 2021 at 8:59 am #177827I was just musing on what this section of the website changes to if ESL becomes reality – perhaps ‘UAE Charlatans LLC ’til I die’ or similar? Doesn’t quite trip off the tongue though. Perhaps we should also open a book on who’ll be the first of the erstwhile ESL Club owners to pack their bags and leave if this proposal comes to nothing. Interesting times.

20th April 2021 at 9:06 am #177828What I do know Surrey…good/bad…if it does not happen now it will happen in the near future. Unless a comprimise is found UEFA will collapse and have a debt problem. Clubs cannot afford to trip around with added fixtures they want and needless friendly Internationals is one aspect they have not addressed. the constant fixture pile up..they have not addressed. It is a sorry mess all round

20th April 2021 at 1:58 pm #177851Brian, I think I tend to agree that something will happen along the lines being proposed. These clubs will have modelled the likely outcomes to death and seemingly have little appetite for compromise. Meanwhile, the EPL canβt afford to lose the value from the loss of the six clubs so theyβre in a bind. In addition, UEFA has to treat with these clubs also but what the outcome of all this will be is too hazy just now. A sorry mess all round sums it up and a sad way to deal with the inevitable results of appalling management/ inability to keep their houses in order by these same clubs ( and many others).

20th April 2021 at 10:04 pm #177940The problem with dreamers like the Super league heads is that they ignored any aspect of Managers/players views or even the whole of the clubs in all leagues. they did it because they thought they could….They may well have lost round 1 but maybe back for Round 2. I am not against change but not this way

20th April 2021 at 10:30 pm #177941Hi Brian blue, not sure if you remember but I used to post lots on Teamtalk before that forum went downhill drastically. Iβve signed up to this just now as a form of therapy I think; like the rest of you Iβm pretty angry about this proposal and need a place to vent π

20th April 2021 at 11:24 pm #177952Glad that all 6 have no withdrawn from the proposals but this leaves a really bad taste in the mouth. Mansour has soured 10 years of exemplary ownership with this for me.

21st April 2021 at 9:42 am #177988Important game for us to night against a good Villa team at home. I expect a much improved City team and performance with or without KDB and Augerro. I still cannot believe Augerro is not fit enough by now, he would have been better on one leg than our last three up front
