Nine, would agree with that, apart from Augerro the injury list is getting shorter. I do have my own take on injuries though….it is hard for any team to have one or a run of injuries but my own view is we need to , as fans, to pay less attention to them and let the manager just get on and manage what he has. Last season the we had injuries to key players I would never use that as an excuse for not performing, which happened a lot to us with a give away defence last season but thesse things happen in football. I expect my team, whatever they select, to put in a good performance, a win is always preferable,a draw , acceptable and a loss will always happen. The problem we face now is the inconsistency in the management of the game, even top players no longer understand what is going on. They had better get it right before the fans return or I can see serious problems

30th November 2020 at 8:07 pm #171277FA Cup draw….my mind goes back to the Wembley final, Trautmann playing with broken neck and a fine City performance. Same again please but with no injuries this time

2nd December 2020 at 2:51 pm #171413Satisfied with a clean sheet, no injuries and generally a good performance. All the changes, I think 7 but they worked well enough apart from not scoring, from this point, its a knock out and you have to score to win

8th December 2020 at 4:18 pm #171733We have at least 5 players capable of scoring from outside the box, it is about time they started to have a go more often. Missed most of last few matches had a bad fall but the good news id I have my jab date set for next week, maybe I can start keeping upright then!!!

10th December 2020 at 3:29 pm #171814Good win on Wednesday. We are quietly getting on with our improvemntand performance levels, nicely under the radar at this point, no longer the bookies favourite, almost a full squad back . We just need to string some wins together now. I do not have a clue who he will pick against Utd, Augerro will be on the bench. I would like to see Laporte back and prefer Ake to Mendy at LB but I think he will play Stones, who has played well recently

12th December 2020 at 3:31 pm #171870Brian, I hope you’re well and have felt no negative reactions to your Covid jab.
Looking forward to this evening’s game I can’t see Pep changing anything tactically as he likes his team’s to dominate the ball and be on the front foot which plays into Ole’s tactics of hitting teams on the break with pace which is United’s strength. All of which makes things very interesting for the neutrals.
My money would be on a score draw or a City win. Anyway enjoy it buddie, once Aguero is considered fit enough to start regularly and providing he can stay fit we might see something closer to the real City and you’re still on a bit of a run without him anyway which is encouraging for the City fans.
Still think the title is between City and Liverpool despite Ole’s claims United can win it. Cheers 9’s

12th December 2020 at 9:11 pm #171912Nine..the jab is Thursday this week and despite the scare stories i will have it. As to City, I was disappointed we did not do enough to win. I think we needed Gungdoghan in the side to day. Sterling Mahrez and Jesus are not a good blend, never have been.I doubt they will ever be a real threesome threat Utd were the the home team and thought they would have played differently, knowing City are not exactly scoreing freely at the moment,We certainly miss Silva and I hope Augerro steps up his fitness routine and gets back in the team.We really need some energy in the team, the players are getting us through matches, keeping clean sheets but we need more than that, I would like to see more of Foden,Bernabia,Laporte,Torres, Delap and Palmer

12th December 2020 at 9:34 pm #171915AnonymousBrian, those scare stories are completely without merit. The testing they’ve done is far more extensive than these conspiracy nuts are saying. “vaccines need 10 years of testing…” is totally ignorant or disingenuous. in those 10 years, there’s a lot of red tape and waiting but with this, you’re really only seeing a stream-lining of these delays, with similar amounts of testing done in a more compacted time.
Some people just want to see an evil entity, so they make it up, imagine it to be the case and only take in information that suits their biases, so they never learn and this is where we end up. it’s really depressing because now we have the likes of Bill Gates, who’s doing everything he can to help people and you have groups who think he’s got some crazy ulterior motive…
Anyway, glad you have the vaccine coming. That’ll give you some protection and peace of mind.

13th December 2020 at 9:57 am #171924Thanks Mak, always good to have support. Your comments are spot on as well. I do get fed up with the negative comments by some, it is akin to broadcasters having a party and at the same time bashing individuals for breaking the rules.

13th December 2020 at 11:02 am #171932Further to my comments about our three “attackers”. none of them have vision, they are good at what they can do but together there is no togetherness. Our only player who can knit things together is Gungdoghan. KDB is excellent at almost everything but he can not do everything at the same time…that would be impossible for anyone. His strength is a different type of vision. Silva had the knack of working insight spaces, as does Gungdoghan and we need that type of player. Foden may well be the answer once he is in a settled position. I am not expecting Augerro to be contributing much now so the need for a top class striker is paramount, we have no focus up front. Jesus works his socks off but i still do not think he is a genuine striker unless his role changes Mahrez blows hot/cold and Sterling needs to back up his work rate with goals. Not all gloom but changes are needed,

15th December 2020 at 9:59 pm #172162Chances created, chances wasted, we beat ourselves to night. Big defensive performance by WBA aided by a defected goal but..hey-ho…that is how it goes. All is not lost yet but City need to start finding the net. Southampton will have a real go at them i suspect on Saturday.Think Augerro needs more minutes on the pitch now. We do need a striker though, Jesus is overworked and Augerro still way off match fitness but others should be contributing, more shots from outside the box to night but not enough to trouble the keeper , who had an excellent game

18th December 2020 at 4:17 pm #172383Cityboy…well if he is not in the market for one he needs to give Delap or another a run because we need some freshness up front. If anything I think we are trying TOO HARD at the moment…need to relax and let it flow again. KDB is trying to do too much, I admire him for it but he cannot do it on his own
