I’m just hoping you’ve used all the goals up Brian before Thursday night. π

25th June 2020 at 10:16 pm #125777Congratulations to Liverpool, worthy winners. Our performance to night, up top, was not good enough but in saying that we gave away two silly goals at the back. I think next season will be a cracker. I hope that is not repeated

25th June 2020 at 10:25 pm #125781Commiserations Brian that was a tough 3 points.
City still very scary going forwards even without Aguero.
Strengthen the defence and it will be a much tighter title race next Season hopefully Chelsea will be there or thereabouts too if we can continue to make the right signings. Cheers 9’s

26th June 2020 at 3:57 am #125789Commiserations too from me to Brian. Commiserations also to the City players who now will have to form a guard of honour on their own ground for Liverpool which I am sure they would have liked to have avoided.

27th June 2020 at 8:26 am #125815Strong rumours of Koulibally to City. Just what City need imo despite the high cost for a 29 year old.

27th June 2020 at 12:59 pm #125816AnonymousKoulibally is a player who I don’t want Liverpool to sign (because I really rate Gomez) but one that i also do not want to see at a rival. He’s brilliant.
If City improve their defence and don’t fall back in other areas, it’ll be far closer next season and honestly, you never know, they might just take the title right back. Before people say “no chance”, that’s the nature of the PL at the top. If someone besides Liverpool wins it though, I’d prefer that it were Chelsea but I feel they might need a few more transfer windows and time in general.

27th June 2020 at 9:59 pm #125820You cannot argue with the result, if you give silly goals away you will loose more often than win. I had some concern without Augerro but he was not the principle reason we lost, pep says “lessons must be learned” that is for everybodyn at City. I am not complaining though, we have been very successful of late, to morrow will be a tough game, a one off, so Newcastle will have a real go at us. I am certain City will have a guard of honour for Liverpool, the City players and Management will want it. only FA can stop it…then it will not happen. It has been a great season for Liverpool. I am sure City will improve there defence but w have some good youngsters appearing now, who, I think will be given game time now. I am reasonably confident about next season because the platform is there , I think we need 2/3 players to arrive. We know David Silva will not be with us, Augerro, Fernandinho will be carefully employed. Sane gone maybe Mendy/Cancello/Stones/Sterling as well. Youngsters in line. Foden, Garcia. Doyle. bernabia, Bellingham{?) we need a back up keeper as well…would like Joe Hart back but that is unlikely

28th June 2020 at 11:25 am #125826Thanks guys.
I fully expect city to come back stronger next season. Kompany was a massive loss. Stones is not good enough. Otamendi is far to rash. Ferdinhio is an absolutely world class player but heβs not a centre back . When he plays centre back, they miss him in midfield.
Rodri has done alright but ferdhino is top top class.

28th June 2020 at 6:25 pm #125839I don’t think Pep will leave next season.
What happens with the ban either way will probably have an impact on City next season. But if City get in a quality Centre Back to replace Kompany and get a bit more fortunate with injuries it is likely it will be a lot closer in the PL next season and ironically a European ban could make City an even stronger proposition in the PL next season.`

29th June 2020 at 9:16 am #125845I think he will get one, Yesterday saw Bruces tactics laid bare withe emphiasis on Carroll trying to batter Laporte into submission but he, Laporte, is made of stronger stuff!!!!! I was reading before the match about Bruces abilities as a manager, well from the kick off with 5 at the back and no plan to get out of there own half in a one off game, surely, he could have come up with something better? He may have good managerial ability but his game plan is poor, lower division clubs gave us a better game and this is not the first time it has happened. I am happy for the win though and thought we recovered well from Chelsea defeat

30th June 2020 at 7:21 pm #125924Seems Sane to Munich for 55m. Worst kept secret that he was off but how are you City fans feeling about the move and the price?

1st July 2020 at 7:57 am #125933On the day that United allegedly offer a maximum Β£50m for Jadon Sancho, Leroy Sane seems bound for Bayern for circa Β£55m inclusive of add ons.
Given the marketplace is understandably effected by Cov19 the fact that Sane was about to enter the last year of his contract and he’d been out injured for the best part of a year that doesn’t seem too bad of a deal for City to me albeit they wanted to hang on to him.

1st July 2020 at 10:05 am #1259503ps-Its seems its Β£40m with add ons, which is still a very good price for a player with 12 months left in his contract. But a very, very, very good player Bayern are getting! Imagine him,Havertz and Gnabry, with Lewa upfront? Unplayable!

1st July 2020 at 10:28 am #125953Yeah sorry should of said upto 55m after addons. I for one am glad he is going he always worried me when he was playing against us. Pace and skill are a wonderful combination to have these days. I think Bayern are getting a super player and as you say Mav will be part of a very strong looking team.

Guten morgen, mein freund in Deutschland. Ich hoffe, sie haben ihren urlaub genossen und hatten SpaΓ!Talking of teams for next season, just how dreadfull this current Barca team are? God Almighty, even with Covid-19 causing mayhem, they are rubbish to watch,Messi or not! Ter Stegen,Ansu Fati, and De Jong, the rest are dead on their feet, and without magical Messi they would be midtable team, even in a 2 team league._____________________________
