Just reading the ban is only for “incidents” between 2012 and 2016, they’re still investigating 2017 onwards…

They are handing out punishment while still investigating? I mean, I guess in a way that makes sense. It might take them a year or 2 to fully investigate the last 3 seasons but what would this mean in terms of punishment stacking? Have UEFA been tactical here and divided the periods into 2, in order to see what the final result looks like for the first part?

Them still investigating and City refusing to buy a defender in January is kinda telling. I mean, I immediately thought of this when I heard about this whole thing but now it’s a slightly larger smoking gun. Perhaps City are in the S*&% and they bloody know it.

I’ve already tried to set out that life events are not always explicable in a rational manner. However, I must express a sneaking admiration for the way that many of our correspondents are pulling together every piece of tittle tattle from every source ( not all credible to put it mildly)and yet again deciding everything that’s said and written must be true, City have been supping with the Devil and must be destroyed! All very entertaining and nothing wrong with that because we don’t know what’s going on. But please let’s ALSO try and stay with the main story, watch events,hope the truth comes out and justice is served. Provided there’s a fair ‘trial’ then if the results of that means City is stuffed and has to be emasculated then it would be well deserved.

We are going to discuss the topic and speak about the possibilities. As things stand, I think it’s almost a certainty that City are guilty. UEFA actually hired a team of outside lawyer to help them build a case, after previous charges against other sides (Man City aren’t the only focus believe it or not) had failed on appeal, due to technicalities. They want an air-tight case.

Now, I can’t find the emails. I’m not sure if they have been leaked to the public. Maybe they have only been leaked to the press and UEFA etc. Publishing sensitive and more importantly, stolen information could lead to serious lawsuits and such but the discussion around what these emails contains, points to strong evidence of a money trail. Proof? Who knows but it’s really not looking good for City. I think it would be prudent to accept the almost certainty of findings that they have been cheating. Feel free to cling on to hope, fine but maybe don’t get precious about people hypothesizing on rather likely outcomes.

Well said Surrey Blue although it cuts both ways with the articles . Hanging from the nearest tree without a proper trial went out with the Wild West City deserve to be judged impartially once all the evidence has been submitted to CAS by CAS despite the keenness from some quarters to do otherwise.

Behave puppy, OJ City are obviously guilty as hell (as all clubs are!). Do we really think OJ City withheld “absolute proof of innocence” on the basis they were saving it up for Cassie as a “back-up”? Or do you think this “absolute proof on innocence” was shown and discredited by UEFA on a whim, knowing full bloody well OJ City would appeal? Or most likely, there is no “absolute proof of innocence” and OJ City will get off, declare themselves innocent, because somebody forgot to put a full-stop in the paperwork somewhere?

Speculate all you like lads but it’s all empty words until CAS hear the case and decide what the final outcome will be based on the evidence put forward by both sides. There’s nothing meaningful to add until then.
