Tugay, if that was the case why has there been a lengthy investigation and subsequent ban for city? If City are living within there means then surely theres no problem?
Apologies gj, I didn’t recheck the posts that I read from last night.

15th February 2020 at 1:16 pm #70059Threeps, no worries mate.
Tugay is correct though, UEFA introduced FFP in 2009. ‘Smokescreen’ or not, it was brought in, as they say, to help prevent the likes of the Portsmouth and Leeds United situations occurring again.
https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/protecting-the-game/financial-fair-play/
The fact it was introduced shortly after the City and PSG buy-outs is more than coincidence, imo._____________________________

15th February 2020 at 1:38 pm #70071AnonymousBrian, City have already been found guilty by the sporting body and I think it would be best for you to accept it. The CAS is only an avenue of appeal. Its really looking like City have this as one last chance to muddy the waters.
If it’s correct that City are going to the CAS on the basis that “we are innocent because the smoking gun was found illegally” then it’s best to step away from defending the guilty party.
I really hope City fans take this misguided anger and paranoia thats focused towards UEFA and turn it on their clubs owners, for twice breaching the rules.
We have to get past this idea that City are innocent until proven guilty. The process is complete. They are guilty, ee just don’t know the details.

15th February 2020 at 1:49 pm #70075City have been found guilty by UEFA of breaking FFP rules but the end game will only be decided at the Court of Arbitration of Sport.
“According to article 57 of the FIFA Statutes, FIFA recognises the independent Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) with headquarters in Lausanne (Switzerland) to resolve disputes between FIFA, member associations, confederations, leagues, clubs, players, officials, intermediaries and licensed match agents.
The provisions of the CAS Code of Sports-related Arbitration apply to the proceedings. CAS primarily applies the various regulations of FIFA and, additionally, Swiss law.
The jurisdiction of CAS is defined in article 58 of the FIFA Statutes, whereby appeals against final decisions passed by FIFAโs legal bodies and against decisions passed by confederations, member associations or leagues must be lodged with CAS within 21 days of notification of the decision in question.”
I can’t see anything wrong with some City fans saying they won’t comment further until after the case has been heard by CAS.

15th February 2020 at 1:54 pm #70078AnonymousNine, you can post pages of that but as long as they are writing fir the dailymail, it’s meaningless to me. It’s a rag ans nothing more. Do you want to show me the awards that the paper won to prove otherwise?

15th February 2020 at 1:58 pm #70079Nine, itโs clear city have done something wrong. Itโs not the first time. Why are people making excuses for them? They have tried to abuse the system.
I donโt get it at all. If it was my club I would be coming up with excuses. Iโd be disappointed with my club
Itโs bullshit that UEFA are out to get them

15th February 2020 at 2:02 pm #70080AnonymousNine why are you copying in text about UEFA accepting CAS jurisdiction? Did I dispute that? No I didn’t.
My point is that people are talking as if its “too early to tell” but its not. Court is over, the jury have given their verdict and the judge has sentenced the guilty party.
All thats happening is now you’re off to another court to find a way out and from what we are hearing, its on a basis of technicality, not innocence.
City are guilty and now we might see thr suspended fines from the previous time becoming active.
Any other dailymail conspiracy rubbish for me lads? I love hearing about how it isnt.

15th February 2020 at 2:10 pm #70082Totally agree with you Sean personally I think your post below summarises it perfectly
“Itโs very simple. If city have breached the rules then they should be punished
If they havenโt then thereโs nothing to worry about and the ruling will be over turned on appeal.”
Personally I think the whole thing is quite complex but I would be surprised if City were totally cleared by CAS but I’m not going to pre judge the outcome.

15th February 2020 at 2:27 pm #70090AnonymousI dunno Nine, I wouldn’t want to pre-judge the situation just because the CAS have heard an appeal. Surely we should hold judgment until it gets to the European court of justice?
