Mav, Courtois two young children live with their Mother in Madrid I can understand what he said and why he said it and I’m sympathetic to that family is more important than anything else imo.

9th February 2018 at 9:00 pm #15051So we have a Chelsea manager under pressure and the next game is West Brom. History says you donβt want to lose that game…Pagan

9th February 2018 at 10:29 pm #15052Pagan, the pressure on Conte were Chelsea to lose the West Brom game would be massive but the next two games against WBA and Hull in the Cup are just appetisers for Barca and both Manchester clubs away. Easy.?
Do you still visit the Chelsea site?

10th February 2018 at 8:31 am #150569, if you mean on Teamtalk then no.
My comment was in relation to West Brom, historically a game that has had many managerial casualties…. Pagan

10th February 2018 at 6:33 pm #15145Poor show from the Media (BBC being one of them) but no surprise, awaiting Conte’s ‘fate’. Good decent guy and Gent.
Not sure how long Conte will stick around…..
Sadly, we’re in a cut-throat environment and Wenger probably is the exempt and immune from being axed.

11th February 2018 at 8:06 am #151799, I think the balance on this site is better, in general itβs opo fans with a balanced outlook and a sense of humour. TT just seems full of anger and abuse even on the individual sites….Pagan

11th February 2018 at 11:37 am #15184Pagan, yep I think you’re spot on about this site there’s a nice balance and a decent bunch of lads Inn here.
Some of what gets posted on the main TT site is a bit overpowering and the Chelsea site suffers from a large slice of posters that have only known the trophy years and don’t manage the up and down life of supporting a football club very well.
Sad to see you not posting on there though mate the Chelsea site can I’ll afford to lose posters like you and the balance and common sense approach that you contribute.
Hopefully at some stage in the future you might try and combine this site and the Chelsea site. Cheers 999

12th February 2018 at 12:30 pm #15324If Conte can steady this ship and get the much needed win tonight. i can see the critics disappearing one by one. if i was Conte i would have given the Media a break. because they are so unfair to the man. some lose back to back games and they are let of the hook. but when Conte loses they even publish when he will be sacked. that is professionalism from the media part in Britain. it seems that the man has 9 lives. every time he faces this situation he comes back stronger. i will be interested to see how the players perform for him. because every time the media write he has lost the dressing room, or the players have downed the tools. they show that they are fighting for him.

12th February 2018 at 2:24 pm #15337I hope Conte battles on through this difficult patch. The
only thing I’d question him about. Is why is he selecting
Bakayoko over Drinkwater? It reminds me of when Pellegrini used to pick Bony over Kelechi
Because they were both big money buys I expect?_____________________________

12th February 2018 at 2:46 pm #15338ppt, me too mate but who knows. Thankfully no Bakayoko tonight and there was a rumour that Chelsea were appealing the one match ban to see whether it should really be a three match ban.?

12th February 2018 at 3:28 pm #15341Cm, I think itβs the sane for everyone.i think Poch gets an easy run. People say Klopp does aswell but as soon as we lost to Swansea the vultures were out. You Evan had some pundits and fans asking for kloop to be sacked after 7 games this season
Look st Jose. The media are all over utd over yday. Itβs madness. One win and you escape it till your next bad result. Itβs ridiculous

12th February 2018 at 4:17 pm #15348On one hand giving AC the boot seems a wee bit harsh, but on the other hand Chelsea changing manager like normal people change underwear haven’t stopped them winning. Mourinho (two periods), Di Matteo, Hiddink, Chelsea legend Benitez and Ancelotti all won titles even if none of them stayed that long. If they kick out AC I’m sure history will repeat itself. It often does.

12th February 2018 at 6:10 pm #15361I have every confidence in Conte. i feel he is a victim of his own success. i feel guilt as a Chelsea fan that our club didn’t give him what he requested for. he wasn’t backed in the transfer market as i would have liked. and the type of players that he wanted was class. but we didn’t take him serious. i’m his biggest fan and feel we are safe with him in charge. but doesn’t mean Conte is a saint either. i call him out where i feel he overstepped his mark. i don’t like his public digging of the club, and transfers. that is the only beef i have with him. other that i’m happy for him to be i charge. its obvious that the Media has an agenda against him. i haven’t seen another who was published the date he will be sacked other than Conte. Pochettino was having similar problem not long ago, and i haven’t seen anyone publishing the day they will be sacked. not long ago Klopp lost back to back to Westbrom and Swansea, i haven’t seen anyone publish the sacking date. Mourinho has lost against Spurs and Newcastle he is sitting in his chair comfortably. because those that write those stuffs are ex United pros and Liverpool pros. but when it comes to Conte the rule is different. its incredible if we win tonight, that both Conte and Mourinho have collected the same number of points in the last 3 PL games, but one deserves to be sacked and the other is doing a good job. isn’t that a hypocrisy? Conte has still has the FA cup to contest for. but still he is doing the worst job in the top 6 teams.
Whatever happens i will continue to appreciate the work he has done at Chelsea. its obvious that some are jealous about his success and are spreading false rumours about him. but its good to see the club standing by him this time. we have to draw a line from somewhere. we can’t keep sacking the manager every-time we have a poor result. that model of business is outdated now. we need to think out side the box. address the manager’s concern and things will be fine. and finally i hope we win tonight and Morata scores. because the stuff that the Media is writing about him is mind blogging. even though he is still adjusting to a new country, new language, new city. and more importantly more physical league than he used to. and he has 10 PL goals even though he hasn’t kicked a ball in a month. and Lukaku has 12, can you imagine this?
