Boxing Day with a full programme tomorrow. Looking forward to the Amazon Prime Fixtures.
Friday Night will be meaty in Wolves-Manchester City
Continuing on the Grindstone with a full programme on Saturday. Liverpool play Wolves at 4:30 at Anfield whilst Man City entertain Sheff United at 6pm in the evening.
A brief rest till Weds. We’ll more clearly in terms of the distance in points between Liverpool and the chasing 2. For some reason, Leicester seem to be building themselves up for tomorrow. We shall see! π

Don’t all PL teams need to build themselves up when they play Liverpool now though Nil? That’s a compliment buddie to where Liverpool currently are.
I’m just hoping we see the Chelsea that played Spurs on Sunday turn up at the Bridge today v Southampton.

26th December 2019 at 12:09 pm #57404Pretty much a predictable team from the Spuds, Wee Ryan gets to play in Son’s place (3 game ban for that? Absolute mockery!) and Dinsky Winksy in for Dier… nothing but 3 points is acceptable today, so a 0-0 draw is on the cards I think.

26th December 2019 at 12:17 pm #57405Brighton are a decent team Chucky. Play some good football and they have left our two of their best players in tossard and propper today
Southampton are a strange team. They create plenty of chances and Ings is on fire but they just canβt defend
Iβm confident we can take something againest Leicester. Very good team and interesting to see if they go for it tonight as Rodgers has been very negative againest the top sides this season and it hasnβt brought many points.

26th December 2019 at 1:03 pm #57408Interesting that Jose appealed the Son red card, apparently he blamed Rudiger for overreacting and feigning injury, this the same Jose who effectively sacked the team doctor for running onto the pitch to treat the at the time a seemingly mortally wounded Chelsea player…..Pagan

26th December 2019 at 8:52 pm #57423Great header – cheered loudly π
Great to get into the break with a one nil lead. What I notice is our completed passes, challenges and balance all over the park.
Leicester haven’t really been threatening but you can’t take for granted so a big 45 mins ahead of us.

26th December 2019 at 9:57 pm #57424Thought we were fabulous tonight, couldnβt ask for much more considering weβve just come back from Qatar. Most impressive thing was the maturity and control. Third goal by Firmino just epitomised it – Firmino could have chosen to play the easy ball but spun round and ran back towards goal. Great great goal. Just hope Hendersonβs ok.

26th December 2019 at 10:06 pm #57425Can’t expressed how much I am filled with joy π
Have to indulge properly tomorrow with some nice beers as I’m on an early start to work. Thursdays eh, boring, but we brought it to live with first class performance and 4 goals.
Their supporters were kept quiet for all the chat I’ve had to hear. By no means though we’re champions – we still have places like Everton, Tottenham and Man City to go to, but I’m delighted how we’ve come through the World Club Tournament and Tonight, with the only blemish being the ELF Cup, but in all fairness, couldn’t ask for more.

26th December 2019 at 10:06 pm #57426Massive win for Liverpool and not just the score.
In the words of Mick Jagger “It’s all over now”!

26th December 2019 at 10:45 pm #57431Although winning, a number of Liverpool performances have been somewhat underwhelming this season; however, tonight they really were ‘at it’.
Wonderful team performance – 10/10If they play anywhere near to that level for the remainder of the season, sadly, they’ll smash our 100 points total.

26th December 2019 at 10:55 pm #57432Just seen Match Of The Day Highlights.
How good was Trent?!
People make the point of a team only having to play one game a week (as such), but you gain more experience from being involved in multiple competitions and playing more games.
The simplest of things taken for granted like body balance, observation, ball control, space-making, retention and finding a fellow red shirt; all done with panache is just commendable.
