It’s insane the way Chelsea do their player business, we got rid of DeBruyne, Lukaka, Salah, Messi, Bamford to mention only a few of the excellent players we had, none of the players that came in since are better players, whose the fool responsible.

27th December 2020 at 2:15 pm #172813Moos Mourinho let all those guys go though he has denied it, I don’t think Messi was ever involved, you probably mean the rumor about him when he was still 12 years old or less and joining the academy?

28th December 2020 at 9:59 am #172867AnonymousIf Chelsea don’t win tonight expect those knives to be sharpened quite significantly. Let’s hope but they need a big improvement cause they lost 3 out of 4 and even the one they won was very flattering. Tense day awaits us all.

3rd January 2021 at 12:18 pm #173189AnonymousLampard telling “Chelsea fans” to go easy on Havertz. I’d say the same for Werner too… Some “Chelsea fans” are simply empty tool sheds.

3rd January 2021 at 1:21 pm #173195You just can’t be writing off clearly talented players after a few months.
Also any player who has got Covid could still be struggling
Trent at Liverpool hadn’t been the same after Covid

30th January 2021 at 9:34 pm #174598Well, considering the changes at The Bridge, there’s been no comments on this page. Tomorrow in reality is the first game of the new era, the new boss has now had a few days to get to know the players and try to start to get his ideas into their thinking. What would I like to see, for me the result is probably not the most important thing, the obsession with possession being traded for a bit more intent and directness without being reckless would be a step in the right direction, pass and move, rather than stand in space, play the ball into space rather than to feet all the time, fast counter attacks rather than the slow play out from the back. We now have young quick forwards, let’s play to their strengths rather than stifling their natural ability for the sake of a aesthetic football, here’s to hoping……Pagan

31st January 2021 at 8:28 am #174600True enough Pagan I guess that was because with the news being as big as it was everything transferred to the main page and it carried on from there. Agree with your points though.

3rd February 2021 at 3:07 pm #174730Former Chelsea winger Paul Canoville is critically ill in hospital following emergency surgery.
The 58-year-old, who runs his own foundation and campaigns against racism, was the Blues first ever black player when he signed in 1981.
In a short statement, his foundation confirmed: “We are sad to advise that our founder Paul Canoville is critically ill in hospital after complications set in after emergency surgery. We are aware that his many fans and followers on his social media accounts have been missing his regular posts for over two weeks now.
“We know how loved Paul is and will post updates as we get them, but ask that his family’s wish for privacy is respected and that they are not contacted by the media. The PFA are in contact with Paul’s family and being very supportive.
“Please keep Paul in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.”
Keep fighting “Canners” thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

15th February 2021 at 7:26 am #175432Ziyech restored to the Chelsea team is down to him he won’t be if he displays the attitude and poor performance he did v Barnsley and sadly he could be gone in the Summer.
Currently he’s unfortunately lost his way and the injuries haven’t helped he has the ability no doubt but he came to the Club with questions about his attitude and that’s what is coming to the fore currently. Hopefully he turns it around because he has a lovely left foot.
Connor Gallagher showed yesterday v United he has the drive and ability to join the other top Academy products in the first team squad next season.

15th February 2021 at 8:23 am #1754359, I think Ziyech looks good when he’s playing the ball forward quickly, playing keep ball in your own area isn’t one of his strong points…..Pagan

15th February 2021 at 2:31 pm #175461Pagan, if you studied Ziyech’s heat map I suspect you would find little to no time in the Chelsea penalty area his problems are all much further up the pitch.

15th February 2021 at 3:17 pm #1754679, I’m not saying he spends time in our penalty area, though he’d probably get more passes it there, it’s the unbelievably slow style of play we have that isn’t really going to help him. Against Barnsley it was nearly 4 minutes before we got the ball into their half and in that time we’d had more possession and 2 goal kicks…..Pagan

15th February 2021 at 3:23 pm #175470No denying we were poor v Barnsley all over the pitch but it was a scratch side we need to see Ziyech playing in the fist team there have been glimpses of his quality previously. Time will tell.

15th February 2021 at 3:36 pm #175472I think a higher tempo would suit him better, he seems to see those forward passes and can pick them out, you’d think with that ability and Tiny Weener’s pace they’d make a good combination…..Pagan

Agreed but he needs to establish himself in the team and not throw Moody’s.
