My team going forwards in the next game would be 433
New keeper
James, Zouma, Silva, Dave/Chilwell (when fit)
Cheek/ Mount, Kante/Jorginho, Havertz/Barkley
Odoi/Pulisic/ Abraham/Giroud, WernerBad day all round, big reaction needed next game, we just looked very lethargic.

20th September 2020 at 9:22 pm #166506442, frank needs plenty of time. Chelsea have made some very good signings but it’s going to take a lot of time to integrate them all into the team.
It’s going to take a good few months or maybe longer before we see the real Chelsea. patience is needed from the fans and the owners and frank needs to be given plenty of time

20th September 2020 at 9:25 pm #166507That would be:
Larry
Curly
Mo
WernerI still come up with Werner whichever way I look at it 442. Maybe I am being a little harsh on Tammy though but not the other two.

21st September 2020 at 8:05 am #166518Anonymous\Sean, im not advocating the removal of Lampard. Far from it. I want him to push through faster with the kids and ditch the older players In the squad because I donut think they can blend with the young guys.
Alonso, Kovacic and the Borg just did nothing yesterday. Didnt even keep the ballot use it well.
Anyhow, kudos Liverpool, had all the answers to stop what little we showed yesterday.
Big reaction needed in the next game for me but keep your eyes o the players listed above because their race is done at the club. Move them on this window.

21st September 2020 at 8:10 am #166519Anonymous67… more tongue in cheek posting… but I hope all of them have good seasons. Bamford in particular because he’s worked really hard to have the professional career he has had since leaving us and I must have been one of the few who did rate him. Scored league goals at all levels like Billy Sharpe has done over his career, and I think he needs celebrating if he gets more than 10/15 goals I the premiership this season. The batshuyai comment is more cheekiness on my part because I do rate him as a finisher and every top table side needs on of those. Think he’ll get 15 +

21st September 2020 at 9:30 am #166521AnonymousHow btg can a team be lethargic for such a big game or any game, then their is a lack of motivation by all responsible. That’s no excuse,

21st September 2020 at 9:42 am #166522Ah 443, I know your not looking to push frank out. I’m just saying, he needs plenty of time even if this season is a write off
So many players coming in which will take time for them to blend in and for frank to build his team
Harvetz is a number ten. That’s his best position so does frank has to go to 4-2-3-1 to get the best out of him? Such early day

21st September 2020 at 12:49 pm #166532AnonymousMoos, hated the way we let chech go, i do suspect hes on teh training field every now and then… But Kepa is low on confidence, all media and pundits are onto him, and any good work he does do is simply over viewed by everyone else. He probably needs a move to Italy or back home because he was impressive and why we signed him. Anyhow, Hoping Mendy will be good competition.
And yes Sean, he does need this season. Trouble with Havertz is Frank likes Mount as his baller. Suspect we may see him move out wide right to accommodate or centre right. I would have also integrated Werner and Havertz a little more slowly and kept with the same side as last season and added as they go along but no one puts new trainers in a cupboard when they buy them…
Top four is a must and given teams are already taking points from one another after two games with some massive scorelines swinging back and forwards, its like a free for all goal orgy.
I do want to see Abraham back up top with us though. He is direct and carries a threat.

21st September 2020 at 3:28 pm #166542Ye good point 442, if I can remember right , Pulisic was left out for a few games then cane back into the side and really hit the ground running.
You can see werners quality. He hasn’t done to bad at in first two games and it’s only a matter of time before he starts to bang them in

21st September 2020 at 7:13 pm #166552AnonymousYa Werner does look the part alright, it won’t be long before he’s hammering goals in and adding Pulisic to that side will increase the odds of that happening. I swapped werner out of my FPL team, so going by how things are going for me, he’ll score a hat trick next week.

24th September 2020 at 12:35 pm #166664Timely hatrick by Havertz albeit against average opposition. That’ll give him plenty of confidence. Clean sheet by Willy with numerous saves to make. Not sure Kepa would have achieved same. Anyway Mendy is signed now.

6th October 2020 at 6:06 am #168180Well window over. RLC to Fulham on loan good to get him more football and hopefully the challenge of trying to help them stay up will inspire him to put in find the sort of quality form he has always apparently had in his locker.
Just a thought on a separate issue, the sale of Eden Hazard a few years back. Not sure Real have got value for money. What a brilliant sale by us. The guy rarely plays any more due to injury. Only 16 appearances for them so far and ONE goal.

21st October 2020 at 12:55 pm #168805Re Cech “Lampard said in this most unpredictable of times it was an “easy” decision to include his former team-mate – who has been combining his role at Chelsea with playing as a goaltender for ice hockey side Guildford Pheonix.
“Pete’s been training with the goalkeepers for a little while,” said the manager after Tuesday night’s Champions League opener.
“He spends a lot of days with them, which is invaluable for his experience, helps us in training, helps me to know that he’s passing on that quality and experience to the goalkeepers.
“We had a spare space in the squad, we know this year is like no other because of Covid and what it might do to selection and isolation through the year.
“So it was a very easy one. Pete still does his day job but he’s there if we need him.”
Asked what kind of shape he is in, Lampard added: “In terms of where Pete is at, yeah he’s fit. He’s very fit.
“He’s still relatively young – Pete finished playing possibly when he could have kept carried on playing.
“He’s taken on his role at Chelsea, which he does very well and is very helpful to me and we work very closely together.
“But he trains very regularly, he’s fit and whether we’ll see much of him this season I’m not sure.
“As I mentioned before, it depends on how the season goes with Covid and isolation.
“We felt – or certainly I felt – that it was a no-brainer to have Pete in the squad for that reason.
“And it also helps me that he trains every day – when he’s in such good form it can only help the goalkeepers we have to see one of the world’s best in recent years, in the modern era, amongst us.”
Lampard acknowledged that it was unlikely Cech would play this season – but said the keeper would be ready if called upon in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
“With Pete it’s something that I wouldn’t expect to happen this year,” he added.
“But I do know with the way he is and how fit he is, if we were in crisis times then of course you couldn’t ask for something much better than having Petr Cech around.
“So I don’t expect it, but nobody expected what we’ve seen in the last six or seven months around the world.’” Express 21/10

28th October 2020 at 8:50 pm #169269Not at our best but still 4 nil away from home and 3 consecutive clean sheets.
Mendy has added confidence to the defence.
Decent full debut for Ziyech he’s going to be a player for Chelsea considering how long he’s been out he did very well and scored a good goal.
We missed Silva’s distribution from the back but Rudiger came in and was solid.
Great to see fans in the Stadium again didn’t look like there was too much social distancing going on though.
Good to see Roman there.

31st October 2020 at 2:32 pm #169414AnonymousA wait for more than a year for Edens second goal for real in the league. Looks like a brilliant deal when you factor we signed both Havertz and Werner for what Real are paying us for Hazard. Great player but I think we had his best years.
