I agree Romano is often a very reliable source. Hope he’s right.
I was reacting to this re it being a done deal “However, all this has since been vehemently denied by Bayer Leverkusen, according to Sport1 in Germany.
The website explain ‘there will be no conclusion’ this Monday to the Havertz saga, and the German side’s sporting director has called the imminent departure of his star player ‘nonsense’.
Sport1 remind their readers that Rudi Völler has ‘repeatedly emphasised there would be no Corona discount’ for Havertz, with the Bundesliga club ‘demanding at least €100m in compensation’ for the midfielder.
They end their article by saying ‘there is no end in sight’ and the deal ‘is not yet in the bag’.
There is also ‘no foreseeable’ timeframe for ‘when the transfer will be completed’.”

I’m a Chelsea fan, and i defend the club as reflected in my posts. what your post meant was to ridicule Chelsea for spending that much. even though that money came mostly from player sales. then again you made another inaccurate claim that Lampard has abandoned playing young players. which he hasn’t. Mason Mount has made 53 appearances last season Abraham has made 49 appearances even though he was injured 3 months, Reece James has made 37 appearances. Tomori has made 22 appearances before his injury.
And by the way, please modify your language when debating with other posters. foul language is not acceptable in this forum as stated in the forum rules.

25th August 2020 at 12:24 am #161130Chelsea have reportedly continued their impressive work in the summer transfer window by agreeing terms with free agent Malang Sarr. The former Nice defender has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe having left the Ligue 1 side at the end of last season.
Good news if true.

25th August 2020 at 6:29 am #161348AnonymousYoung_blue – fucking hell! It was a fucking joke. If you think I was being serious about Chelsea spending 800m this window then you really need to take a look at yourself.
Also mason mount maintained his position in the team but tomori James and Abraham were all dropped for senior players. If you don’t realise that you clearly don’t watch football and just look at matches played stats. Fuck fuckidy fuck fuck fuck!
PRAISE CHELSEA, INVENTORS OF FOOTBALL, LEADERS OF EXAMPLE, GODS OF SPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEEL TO YOU ALL AND YOUR SUPERIORITY OVER US MERE MORTALS!!!

25th August 2020 at 11:14 am #161534AnonymousPax… Some of our defending was an arrestable offence last season, we could spend all we want on forwards and midfielders, but if we dont bring someone in at the back who can organise, I think chelsea be struggling for top four. Jose teams defend, he’s had a preseason to get his ideas across, Harry Kane is an an entire attacking side on his own… ergo. I dont think it’s beyond the realms for your lot to be pushing for the title… I think City are in transition this year, Liverpool havent strengthened as a european championship league winning title probably should do. We will still concede too many.. then there is Arsenal. They will be there or thereabouts for top four.

25th August 2020 at 11:24 am #161543AnonymousPax raises an interesting point tbh on players dropped, our midfield is looking good. I’ve picked RLC ahead of Mount for my Prem fantasy team as I think he’s a more complete player and will play as many minutes. With Billy Gilmour to come back, Mount establishing himself, I think Kovacic and Jorghino are probably earmarked for eventual sale unless they turn it on this season. Where will Havertz play if we get him? who will make way?
As for Tomori, think there is a good player there developing and I hope he gets more minutes this season. But he could equally be loaned out. I fully Expect Abraham to be more clinical this season with less game minutes as he does miss a sitter or two and Werner will add something different. Then there is the American Hazard and Odoi to think about. hoping they also take it up a level.

25th August 2020 at 11:24 am #161544Good save 442 ?
Tho spuds can’t and won’t challenge for the title
They need more defence cover than our lot or yours
They have no full backs!
Harry is great but will miss at least 2 months like every year
Maureen can only do so much but they need some investment
According to Nancy they didn’t “need” £175m from the gov but woulda been silly not to … if that’s true they should be far more active than they are

25th August 2020 at 11:46 am #161558AnonymousStevo… Jose likes round pegs in square holes… I really think Spurs will be vastly improved results wise this season. A clean sheet is the moral equivalent of three points in a mourinho world view. I honestly think the top four is up for grabs by a few teams this season. Wolves were knocking on the door, Arsenal will be too this year. Liverpool are going to struggle I think to retain this seasons form, City are in transition given the defence theyre trying to sign…. Chelsea continue to develop. United, who turns up to play for them during what game? Think it’ll be a competitive season.
Then there is Covid empty stadiums. It’s an absolute leveler in my opinion. teams will nick points off one another.

25th August 2020 at 12:27 pm #161563442, football is a squad game now and whoever comes in and currently only two have come in and two have gone out the likes of RLC, Tammy,CHO and Mount will get good game time imo.
RLC, CHO and Tammy were hampered by injuries last season. Frank’s building a good young strong squad and it will have to be if Chelsea are to close the gap on Liverpool and City.
We still need a Keeper imo. We might get away with not buying a Centre Back if we get Silva and Sarr on free transfers and we also have young Mbuyamba on a free. Although if PSG offer Silva a new contract I think he’ll stay.
Pulasic in his second season could be very interesting, very exciting time to be a Chelsea fan.
Let’s see what transpires in the transfer market going forwards for Chelsea nobody is signed until it’s announced on the official Chelsea site.

25th August 2020 at 12:56 pm #161566Seems silva is done – 2 year contract
Looks as fit as a fiddle. At his peak one of the best defenders around. Getting on a bit but still looks good and a great experience
Be really interesting to see how he handles the hustle and bustle of the pl but I think it’s a good signing and a good expierenced head st the back. A proper leader

25th August 2020 at 1:03 pm #161567It’s a risk Sean but he looked decent in the CL Final and he’s a leader and an organiser.
It’s never done though until the player has signed on the dotted line.?

25th August 2020 at 6:54 pm #161626Chelsea are adding young defender Malang Sarr on a 5-year contract. The 1999-born Sarr is a prospect for the future, in the coming days his medicals and signature are expected. Sarr was coveted by number of teams but at the end, the player selected Chelsea and Lampard who reap the rewards of the signing. Sarr appeared in over 100 matches in Ligue 1 and debuted in the Champions League in 2018 with Nice. Sarr’s next stop on his adventure will be in the Premier League with Chelsea.” Gianluca Di Marzio
