5th August 2020 at 9:20 am #142126Stevo, in the 6 years previous to Abramovich Chelsea won 6 trophies inc 2 FA Cups, 1 League Cup and two European trophies as well as reaching the Qtr Finals of the CL a long time before Arsenal got there.
So more of an Arsenal plus plus than a Fulham good buddie. π

5th August 2020 at 9:50 am #142146Hey Buffy, see how the puppy forgets to put in the bit about imminent bankruptcy and neglects to mention it’s easy to comply with FFP rules when you’re spending the hundreds of millions in sales from the billions spent collecting the players in the first place? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence they’re also changing the “loan” rules too…
Or shall we just pretend football was invented 6 years before Roman bought his plaything? π

5th August 2020 at 11:04 am #142195Chucky, I can’t believe we are dancing around this particular Maypole again. ?
I and all Chelsea fans have always acknowledged Roman’s generosity and that we wouldn’t have won what we’ve won or be where we are now without him and you have always acknowledged that you wish that Spurs had been in Chelsea’s position.
Roman has been the Chelsea owner now for over 17 years almost as long as Enic have owned Spurs so Chelsea have been a bit more than Roman’s plaything.
Spurs problem is that they’ve also got a rich owner but one who has always been more interested in what he might make from the Club rather than investing in the team which has cost you Pochettino and led to the slip from CL Finalists to Europa League pre qualifiers within 12 months and probably the sale of Kane next Summer.

5th August 2020 at 12:04 pm #142236AnonymousDoesn’t matter how clubs get rich or successful, if some wealthy people bought out Notts County or Yeovil and also makes them the most successful English club of the century none of their fans going to worry where or how, they probably get millions of new supporters as well. That’s the way it is. I’m considering buying a club myself and turning them into a superpower.

5th August 2020 at 1:54 pm #142315AnonymousI hope we don’t contemplate on selling Kante. He is the only holding midfielder we have at the club. Instead i would sell Jorginho and bring back Ampadu to play next to Kante.

5th August 2020 at 2:48 pm #142353Paxton, hopefully. Werner was great against Spurs in the CL, probably a reflection of the impact of Coronavirus on the transfer market.

6th August 2020 at 2:58 am #142827Nathan Ake to Manchester City for 75 million Aussie dollars (not sure what that is in funny money). Is he worth that sort of money and if so why wouldn’t Chelsea have gone for him as I thought there was some sort of buy back clause involved. Maybe I am wrong?

6th August 2020 at 7:40 am #14299267, I think there was a buy back clause on Ake that gave Chelsea first option but allegedly Frank didn’t think Ake was better than what we had. All about opinions of course because Pep wanted him. Ake is though not great defensively in the air which is one of the problems Chelsea need to try and solve and are seemingly looking elsewhere to do that.

6th August 2020 at 7:47 am #142998AnonymousAka was never good enough for Chelsea. Agents obviously pushed for the deal to happen. Nice commission same as Chelsea were conned with Kepa.

6th August 2020 at 3:38 pm #143271A few papers were reporting today that, the was a significant breakthrough in Chelsea’s pursuit of Ben Chilwell. the were reporting whilst there is no agreement in place at the moment with regard to this transfer. they are reporting that Chelsea has negotiated a transfer fee of Β£50m. I would still say that is an expensive price. but it could be reasonable considering the press was reporting that Leicester was demanding world record for a defender that will eclipse the Β£80m they have received from United. and I assume that is in the region of Β£85.
Whilst Frank is a huge admirer of him, I have little concerns about his defending, but his attacking output is superb. the same can be said about Alonso, isn’t it? I would like our next left-back to be defensively good before attacking. because we have good players in attack now with the addition of Werner and Ziyech on top of Pulisic, CHO, and others, plus Havertz should the deal go over the line. but if Frank wants Chilwell I also want him, I trust Frank.

6th August 2020 at 4:44 pm #143317AnonymousHere are the stats that make Sergio Reguilon a better fit for Chelsea than Ben Chilwell.
Age: 23 years old

Technique: 7/10
Finishing: 5/10
Long shots:6/10
Passing: 7/10
Tackling: 7/10
Marking: 6/10
Heading: 5/10
Crossing: 8/10
Setpieces: 6/10

Ariel ability: 4/10At Β£22.5m, it will be the bargain of the century since we signed Azpi. I will definitely end Chilwell even if they are willing to accept Β£40m. this guy is the same age, and he posses better stats.
