Nothing is confirmed yet, but I was reading today that Chelsea has put up a two-year contract which Wilian has rejected. so I would let him join whoever he wants to join. I doubt he will have the same impact that he had at Chelsea. good luck to him to whoever he joins.
Three years is too much for a player who is on the wrong side of their 30s. and I feel the club has taken the right to decide to not cave in to his demands. yes his current form has been superb and Frank would have liked to keep him, and I would agree to keep him for one or two at the very maximum. but he wanted more than that which the club wasn’t prepared to give.
Looking forward to the younger crop of players who will fill that void. Pulisic, CHO, Ziyech are all decent options to have, plus Werner and Mount who can fill should they be required to do so.

4th August 2020 at 1:31 am #140933AnonymousI appreciate most of the posts here, not just the positive but some of the negative also. That is except for Threeps but I knew that would be coming. Threeps, you’ve had a horn for me ever since the hendo stuff has come out and you really shouldn’t use mental health stuff as a tool.
442, Chelseaman cheers and TBh Im surprised to see any positivity as I had just had enough of it now and I only came back really to read what I thought would be 100% negativity.
Ed, I dont want to hear about me being a good poster, ‘so often when it comes to these scenarios, the other side gets to say what they want and when we/I respond, we’re stiffled. I get it, Liverpool are the upstarts, turned dominant team but Im just a person talking on a board. paxton thankfully highlighted the situation. Someone said something that was inflammatory but I’m told to shut up when I take issue with the obviously bullshit apology for what was really a trap. I was fuckign pissed off to see Nine sucking him off for being a big man to apologize etc… are you serious lads? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?
get a hold of yourselves and Threeps, just disgusting mate. You should be ashamed of yourself.

4th August 2020 at 9:32 am #141175Apologies again to the Chelsea lads on here. I’d missed that Mak had been throwing terms like Nonce around which is just wholly unacceptable.
Mak can no longer post on here. Real shame but the moment we start allowing terms like that, it becomes a free for all and I just haven’t the time to police such a forum.

4th August 2020 at 11:11 am #141225What a shame! I like Mak and most of his posts, and he’s a valuable contributor to this forum most of the time. I’ve enjoyed the debates we’ve had and the difference in opinions. But every now and then he does let himself down by using terms that just aren’t acceptable. The response to someone’s opinion about Jurgen was wholly out of proportion to what was said, and just took the thread to a new and unwanted level.
Hopefully he will recognise this, and maybe he was just having a bad time personally. He has alluded in the past to one or two issues, so I’m just hoping he’s okay.

4th August 2020 at 11:35 am #141239Agree HH
I’ve always liked him and his willingness to stand up for his beliefs
Passionate bloke
He did over react
Been there myself but I seem to have mellowed with age ?
That said I just had a quick scan on TT for the first time in months and especially the Arsenal page as it’s frustrating being the only gooner here ! But 5 mins reading had me think no thanks
To many self righteous annoying people ? basically if something I’d making you feel crap then avoid it! A post, a thread or a website
I’m a better person for not being on TT if I do again I know I will react to some chump ?_____________________________

4th August 2020 at 11:42 am #141243Completely agree Hightown.
I’ve always said I don’t want to get into the business of banning people or deleting posts but there’s clearly a line which, if crossed, starts a slippery slope that eventually leads to this place becoming like the kind of forum people wanted an escape from.

4th August 2020 at 11:55 am #141253How did you know I got an ice-cream maker for my Birthday?
Give Critical Nil a time out, but hopefully, he can come back. Need as many LiVARberoOol’s as possible on here so I can larff at them when they get relegated next season.

4th August 2020 at 3:17 pm #141368I’m absolutely disappointed that it has ended this way. as far as I’m concerned I have no problem with Mak as a poster and as a person. we always respected each other whilst also defending our colours. and it has always ended well. but it seems something may have gone under his skin. I would have prefered things to be sorted with losing any poster. because we are a small community so we cannot afford to lose valuable posters.
But anyway I also understand the Editor action. Mak gave him no option other than to take action. I also didn’t like the language that Mak has used there. or maybe he was angry and needs a bit of self-reflection, I hope so. but the only thing I would say is, Mak is a passionate guy who would go any length to defend his club, so we need to accept that. but I would also advise Mak to tone down the kind of language he uses, especially when it’s against the forum rules. all of us need to abide by the rules for our good.
And one last, I would like to plead with the Editor to reconsider his earlier decision to ban Mak. and I would also like to plead Young blue to formally apologise to Mak. then we kiss and makeup.

4th August 2020 at 4:11 pm #141402Chelsea has been linked with Sevilla left-back who happens to be a player from Real Madrid on loan as an alternative to Chilwell who Leicester is demanding a world-record fee for a defender. i think that is a sensible decision. he is similar like Azpi when defending, but he is also got pace and can attack better.

4th August 2020 at 4:42 pm #141425Agreed Chelseaman report below from today’s Daily Express??? ???
“Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid after a twist in the chase for Leicester City ace Ben Chilwell. Frank Lampard is desperate to sign a left-back but negotiations with the Foxes for Chilwell have proved challenging prompting the change of target.
Chelsea have been left stunned by Leicester’s demands for a fee in the region of £80million for the England international, who has four years left on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
The Blues look set to take their summer spending past the £150m barrier by signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen so Chilwell’s price tag is a major problem, despite Lampard being a big fan.
Reguilon has emerged as an active alternative for Stamford Bridge bosses after a brilliant season on loan with Sevilla.
Despite his brilliant form, Real Madrid are open to selling the 23-year-old due to their need to raise funds amid their financial concerns.

4th August 2020 at 7:56 pm #141563“Chelsea close in on signing ‘the next Virgil van Dijk’ 18-year-old free agent Xavier Mbuyamba, according to the Mail Online.
The Dutchman was on Barcelona’s books, but was released earlier this summer, making the young defender a free agent available to any club.
However, Chelsea seem to be the frontrunners for his signature, given the defender trained with the Blues last year but the club were unable to sign him.” ???

5th August 2020 at 6:01 am #141988Genuine question to Chelsea fans and not trying to provoke, but are you not a little concerned about the reported spending Chelsea apparently are on the verge of doing?
You sold Hazard recently but it is likely you have not received anything like the figure quoted in the press yet as payments are usually spread over the contracts length. So when every other big team that are not being funded by an entire country are struggling, Chelsea seem to have money to burn. Also we know Roman doesn’t dip his and in his pockets these days and that you are now a self-sufficient team.
You could say you are a very well run self-sufficient team but a report by Forbes only earlier this year actually indicates the opposite: https://www.forbes.com/sites/bobbymcmahon/2020/01/08/how-chelsea-went-from-record-60m-profit-to-96m-loss-in-one-year/#4953d9be3b4c
I have a feeling, and I could be completely wrong, that Chelsea are looking at the other big clubs and their financial problems and are thinking now is the time to take a huge gamble to try and get ahead. If this is correct are you not worried about such a gamble? Is it irresponsible?

That article was an interesting read and seemed to be a balanced one to me
Be interesting to see what 999 days as he seem to have a good grasp on the Chelsea financial status
Tho it just shows they would still be at the level of Fulham without the Russian oil money ?_____________________________

5th August 2020 at 8:37 am #142093threeps, Chelsea are spending the Hazard and Morata monies currently reportedly Chelsea agreed a fee of £58m for Morata payable by Atletico on the 1/07/20 they received £88m for Hazard plus bonuses “those unspecified add-ons could be quite significant. As reported by Matt Law in the Telegraph, they are worth upwards of £40m, and are “set to earn Chelsea as much as £130m once all the bonuses have been met”.
Part payment on those bonuses will be added to the Hazard fee and paid this Summer on Real winning La Liga so realistically those two transfers together with bonuses will have bought in circa £160m additionally Palasic was sold for £15m making a total of £175m. Which put them in a much more favourable position than the majority of Clubs this transfer window.
So far Chelsea have spent a little over £75m on Werner and Ziyech or as you rightly say £15m pa over the length of the contracts and any transfers post Harvetz will almost certainly have to be funded by sales out.
Chelsea have always rigorously complied with FFP and for many years have followed a policy of predominantly selling to buy.
