That could be a great signing but I fancy Frank will have get a stay that fits all the team now. I think that has been missing, great at times then goes missing for some reason but I think Frank will get it right and if this is true and not fake news he is on his way to building a good team with the youngster he has as well, fully expect them in top4 next season

18th June 2020 at 4:33 pm #119446When Twitter user @Masoud_Karimis replied to a tweet from the official Chelsea account with the words โAnnounce Havertz,โ he probably didnโt expect the player himself to like it.
In so doing, heโs surely dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be about to form a fearsome partnership with Timo Werner, who was officially announced by the club on Thursday morning.
Surely not??

21st June 2020 at 1:47 pm #122022Lampard has too many players at his disposal, very difficult job keeping players not selected happy, I was always upset if I was on the bench though you obviously still desire your team to win however if a victory wasn’t crucial not so much hey.

21st June 2020 at 1:56 pm #122030True enough Blaze I think that’s where the squad of 20 helps and the 5 substitutions personally I would like to see that continue into next season.
Anyone though who isn’t upset by not starting is not worth having.

21st June 2020 at 2:04 pm #122035The links of Ben Chilwell going to Chelsea aren’t going away but itโs meaningless without Leicester City get a bit more realistic with the fee.
At circa ยฃ75m Chilwell won’t be going to Chelsea and we need to look to sign an alternative if we want to strengthen that position.
At circa ยฃ50m which is still a tad steep imo given Chilwell is still a bit vulnerable defensively he might be coming to Chelsea.
But itโs all down to Leicester City and if Leicester take the position they did on Maguire we are wasting our time and need to move on to other targets if left back is an area that Frank wants to strengthen.

Cesar Azpilicueta
2
Antonio Ruediger
4
Andreas Christensen
3
Marcos Alonso
17
Mateo Kovacic
7
N’Golo Kante
12
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
10
Willian

that is the line up i’m getting at Livescore not sure how accurate it is. but while I’m happy with the return of Loftus Cheek, I’m not thrilled about the return of Christensen. he is an accident waiting to happen._____________________________

21st June 2020 at 8:36 pm #122268Today was a cameo of our season where we dominate a team without taking our chances when we are on top. 90% possesion and we go in at ht a goal down?
Congrats to the players for sticking at it and turning it around but with all due respect to Villa it would have been a much tougher job in the same circumstances against a better team.
I don’t like to dig individual players out so I won’t but there were a couple today who were poor imo.
It will take time to get up and running again the most important thing is we took the 3 points but we’ll have to improve considerably v City on Thursday night.
Thought Kante was our MoM back in his best position.

21st June 2020 at 11:09 pm #122363AnonymousCM you were thrilled about RLC I also like him but he was our worst player by a mile, not his position, Mount and Kante were good but I agree we need another centre half and Kepa is still suspect too.

25th June 2020 at 12:40 pm #1255675.15am kick off here in Oz. A bit scared to get up and watch it live but I will. Just hope we keep it close. A draw would do me.

25th June 2020 at 1:55 pm #125634Difficult to tell Paxton these figures have come from Germany and disagree with the reported figures from the UK media.
Either way it will be a lot of money which rightly or wrongly is what all the top players cost a Club these days.
If Werner helps to deliver major trophies over the next 4/5 seasons whatever the figures it will be money well spent but there are no guarantees.

26th June 2020 at 3:51 am #125788Woke up for the kick off and glad I did. Brilliant result and thumbs up to Christensen who I thought did well. City put in and we handled them pretty well. Our defence appears to be much better than that pre – covid. Top 4 looking much stronger a bet now with those three unexpected points.

1st July 2020 at 9:32 pm #125993AnonymousWatching the second half and gotta day, at first glance I canโt tell which way the players are facing as the new logo and badges are the same size as the numbers and players names. Think itโs time I go to spec savers…

2nd July 2020 at 10:28 am #126024AnonymousSean, yeah, it looks hilarious, like the kit colour but that logo… anyhow…
that’s the double over us this season… The game at the bridge was turgid and we didnt look like winning yesterday. Soft underbelly with us and the last two results show were a long way off the top, a win at city and then lose to a team the wrong end. Congrats West ham.
Antonio has always been a tremendous player throughout his career, makes such intelligent runs and is an absolute handful. Would love to see him join us this summer as he can play anywhere across midfield and attack and England could do with a player like him around the squad. Gives so many options for an outlet pass.
either way, top four race is back on.

2nd July 2020 at 1:21 pm #126026I thought the new kit was the one positive from last night.
The 3 logo is the 3 logo it doesn’t bother me especially as they’ve paid Chelsea circa ยฃ50m to put it on the shirt.?

2nd July 2020 at 1:59 pm #126029The back 4 were really poor last night Alonso can only function effectively as a wing back in a 3/4/3 criminal how he let Yamalenko go last night for the goal.
Also there were too few chances created in open play by Chelsea and some of our passing was dreadful.
Iโm afraid we are going have to bite the bullet on Kepa heโs a decent shot stopper but heโs too slight for the PL and doesnโt command his area.
Also why was Azpi marking giants at corners defending balls into the box has been our Achilles heel all season and you can bet the next two sides up in Watford and Palace will be looking to exploit that.
Itโs not gone yet but it will be uphill from here and we may need others to capitulate like last season.
Realistically though how many of us saw us competing for a CL place this season given all the circumstances but we have to solve our problems in the Summer if we want to progress further.
Importantly we have progressed under Frank despite the difficult circumstances and we are buying quality players but we have to sort ourselves out defensively if we want to continue to progress.

2nd July 2020 at 2:54 pm #126035Anonymous999… theyve spent big on the logo for sure… But for the first five mins i did wonder what direction the players were facing, they either moonwalked towards the ball with pace or ran towards it. Hence why i need to visit an opticians.
Poor performance but think we’ll be alright, other teams will drop points around us over the remaining games.

3rd July 2020 at 3:10 pm #126094Chelsea target Kai Havertz โdreamsโ of playing in the Premier League, according to Bayer Leverkusen team-mate Wendell.โ
Potentially good news for Chelsea if accurate?
We need to be focussed on strengthening the defence though too which will require some sales out despite circa ยฃ50m of the Hazard and Morata money still being available after the purchases of Werner and Ziyech.
