Pagan, I for one, would like to see the women’s game progress, I do go and watch City ladies, not a regular but maybe next season since I will not be at first team matches. I go,, have a good seat, nice meal and car park just outside the door then watch a good game, well the ones I have been to so far. I can also take Grandchildren. Only one drawback at City stadium is they allow somebody in with a big drum, which is awful in sound and playing of. Chelsea v City one of the best encounters of the season

21st May 2020 at 10:47 pm #113391Threeps, don’t disagree with a word you said at 9:45pm. Spot on. That said, I don’t for a minute think anyone on here is even trying to play it down in any way. Nine edited his post after realising it may have been misinterpreted. I fully agree with the points you’re making. I just don’t think you’re right in thinking anyone on here is downplaying it or justifying it in any way. Just my opinion.
Hope you all are doing well

22nd May 2020 at 4:09 pm #113397As Iβve said before βThe only thing thatβs certain is only two people know the truth and one of them wonβt be telling itβ I will add to that though, I do find it strange that the papers were all over it very quickly and the details about the alleged texts and what she may or may not have been wearing or was in her bag were included from the first reports, which would suggest one of the parties PR team were on the ball……Pagan

22nd May 2020 at 4:18 pm #113398Brian, Iβm a big advocator of womenβs sport, having a very sporty daughter and seeing first hand the lack of facilities they have. Sheβs played both football and cricket in mixed teams where the female changing area is basically the womenβs toilet.
Currently sheβs playing cricket at county level and has had to turn down a place in a womenβs footy academy as they werenβt happy she that she would miss a few weeks of footy training whilst she attended county cricket selection sessions.
As for the Drum issue, I sometimes go to see Derby County, they have a drummer and itβs bloody annoying to say the least. I did notice that the bloke merrily banging away on it didnβt sit down all game, probably due to the location of his first set of drumsticks if the away supports chants were anything to go by…..Pagan

23rd May 2020 at 8:20 pm #113417I’ve reflected on what I said towards Nine and 1967 and realise I misinterpreted what they were saying. When I read Nine’s post and in particular the line “she wasn’t expecting to play Monopoly” it reminded me of the Ronaldo rape accusation post on TT when someone said “she went back to his hotel room, what did she think was going to happen”. That really made my blood boil and I read Nine’s comment in the same light. After a little thinking about it I can see what Nine and 1967’s point is regarding the fact there are two sides to every story, something I also mentioned also in one of my posts, and that Nine wasn’t trying to justify Hudson’s alleged actions.
I stand by what I said in latter posts regarding rape but realise it should not of been directed towards Nine or 1967. I misinterpreted their comments and for that I am embarrassed and deeply sorry for any offence.

4th June 2020 at 11:50 am #1136279, for me Ruud signing was unbelievable, I though teletext must have got it wrong, but it was the second step, the first step was getting Hoddle in, he had the reputation to attract Ruud….Pagan

4th June 2020 at 5:47 pm #113644“Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a Β£100m double swoop for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell this summer.
According to a report in The Sun, Blues boss Frank Lampard is ready to add the pair to his squad in a bid to mount a serious title challenge next season.
The report states that Gabon hitman Aubameyang could be sold for Β£30m, with the Gunners preferring to strike a bargain deal for the player rather than lose him for nothing next summer.”
I would imagine Chelsea would be the last Club that Arsenal would agree to sell Aubemayang too although we did sell them big Pete and Luiz.?
Neither can I see Marina being prepared to pay anything like the bandied about fee of Β£70/85m for Chilwell and nor should she imo.

4th June 2020 at 5:49 pm #113646I think Chelsea will go for Werner nine
Chilwell has been on their list for a longtime. Very good player but would cost a few quid?

4th June 2020 at 5:58 pm #113647Sean,I wouldn’t want Chelsea to pay more than circa Β£35/40m for Chilwell and I would be suprised if Marina paid too much more than that which is seemingly a long way from Leicester’s expectations and they have a history of demanding significant fees ie Mahrez and Maguire.
I like Werner and would be happy to see him at Chelsea but I think he wants to go to Liverpool and play for Klopp and it looks like a done deal to me with Liverpool just haggling over how much they are prepared to pay for him.
Although Sky Germany are reporting Chelsea are favourites to sign Werner?
So many rumours though it’s even more difficult this Summer to separate fact from fiction. Cheers 9’s

4th June 2020 at 7:40 pm #113654Liverpool’s record generally been very good. But can’t help but think they’re going a bit ‘Arsene Wenger’ in the transfer market and being too stubborn, whilst leaving the door wide open for their competitors. But time will tell…

4th June 2020 at 8:04 pm #113656He’s still got to sign Sean.?
I never believe anything until I read the confirmation on the official Chelsea site be a great signing for Chelsea “if” it happens though.
If he does sign for Chelsea it means that Chelsea has met the asking price and Werner has been promised regular starts by Lampard.
Still all speculation though.

4th June 2020 at 8:48 pm #113660Critical mak, I like Werner but he wouldnβt get a game with us. Threeps eluded to this last season. Some were screaming for Pepe but he would hardly have played.
I trust the klopp and board bigtime.
Heβs a very good signing for Chelsea along with zyich. Two good quick players
FairPlay to Chelsea but no way would I be gutted mate

4th June 2020 at 8:55 pm #113663AnonymousSean, I have full faith in Klopp and his team. My reservation about this though is that we’re light with only 3 up top but more so that the lads are all 28-ish. We cant wait around 2 years and then replace them all at once. The club have to consider sell on value also and it might have been better for our interests to get make one swap.
Obviously Klopp wants to take this team as far as he can and if that’s his decision then I’ll trust it. There could be a few PL trophies heading towards this team and you never know about another CL trophy also, as long as Klopp stays etc etc.
It’s just that this guy seems to be top class and I have a feeling he’ll be the next Torres… but this time he’ll come good at Stamford bridge.
