Just checked the League table and Chelsea is 37 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand. That is insane.

8th March 2020 at 7:06 pm #82909Chelsea were excellent again today and with a load of players out, take note Jose and stop fecking moaning . I tipped Chelsea for top 4 at the start of the season and unless they implode it’s a given. Huge kudos to Frank and his team .

8th March 2020 at 8:09 pm #82935Interesting result it has exceeded beyond my expectation. i would have taken a scrappy 1-0 but credit to the boys for that marvelous performance. i thought Pedro had an outstanding game today, i have to give him credit to him for his performance. i like how he runs behind the defenders. and i was one of his biggest critics, his last two games have been outstanding. also he started to run in behind defenses which gives our midfielders the chance to spot him.
I have also been impressed by Ross Barkley, credit to him for how he has turned his season. his last two games has been outstanding. three assists and a goal is fantastic. i was also one of his critics but if he keeps like this performance, he will be one of the best midfielders in the world. and i’m also pleased to see Mount score for the first time in 19 league games. how much confidence will that goal give him? i think that goal is huge for him.
Interesting that several players are hitting form at a crucial stage of the season, players like Barkley, Mount, Willian, Rudiger, Pedro and Giroud are hitting form at crucial time. and the young Gilmour is our answer to Bruno Fernandez. he is given the whole team a lift. i saw Roy Keane praise him, and you don’t see often Roy praise people and more so a young player. so this young man must be doing something special.

8th March 2020 at 8:19 pm #82942The perfect summary Chelseaman imo.
The performances and form that the likes of Barkley, Pedro, Willian, Alonso and Giroud have shown together with young Billy Gilmour have been a major plus and Willian looks deserving of a new contract as suddenly do Pedro and Giroud.
Barkley looked a Summer seller to me but his recent performances suggest that might be a mistake now.
I wouldn’t write anyone out of next season’s squad just yet.
The injuries have stretched us but as the injured players begin to return the squad and the team will be even stronger.
Every Cloud……..?

8th March 2020 at 8:44 pm #82955The last couple of games weβve moved the ball forward far quicker when weβve needed to, the games before that Iβd seen more forward passes in the six nations….Pagan

9th March 2020 at 8:39 am #83337Good win on Sunday, finally we managed to put a team to the sword and keep a clean sheet! Everton did help us because they were so poor.
Barkley is not good enough for Chelsea, he should definitely go! Pedro and WIllian seem to be heading out for free as well. Sell Batshuayi and extend Giroud’s contract so that we have him, Tammy and a new striker (Werner?). Also sell Christensen and get a better defender. Alternative to Koulibaly is Skriniar from Inter.
Don’t forget out aspirations is to compete and beat Bayern Munich not beat an average performing Everton.
We need a few better players – fact.

9th March 2020 at 10:59 am #83417All good points Amz. Frank has some big decisions to make this Summer. Personally I think it’s unlikely that circa 9 will go and we probably need evolution rather than revolution.

9th March 2020 at 11:26 am #83435AnonymousBasically, we have a mega talent walking into the team. Putting an 18 year old into midfield has enabled both mount and Barkley to do what they do best. I cant but help think that it would be the same story with Kante in the mix.
Billy the Kid… He reminds me of when Joe Allen was on fire for wales. the kid is much better already. He is a cross between Kante and Makalele from the very little Ive seen. He was also seen telling the defenders where he wanted them. Thats a France and German and two spanish internationals.
fingers crossed he keeps Jorginho out the side because we simply looked menacing yesterday for 90 minutes. They should have scored but they couldnt live with the attacking threat.
couldnt quite believe what I was seeing yesterday. One player has transformed his team mates. Im actually optomistic of getting a result against Bayern too if he starts. No pressure Billy the Kid, no pressure at all! π

I disagree with you on Barkley one, the boy has talents in abundance and his contribution in the last two matches has been extremely fantastic. the only challenge to him is, can he produce like that kind of performance week in week out? and on the bases of his last two games, he is on the right track in my opinion. at 26 he is entering the prime of his career. and what better coach to learn from than Frank? already I’m seeing improvement in his game in the last two matches. this season he has had issues with his discipline and fitness, and he says that is behind him now. and he is looking forward to helping the team. he should be kept in summer. As for Christensen, I agree with you. the boy has been at Chelsea for 3 seasons and apart from flashes he hasn’t shown any progress, so it’s time to cut our losses and sell him. Pedro is giving Frank a headache now. his last two games have been superb. he was running behind the defences, something we don’t have when Abraham isn’t there. I agree with you also on the Batshuayi one. there is one single Chelsea fan who doesn’t agree with selling him. but as I stated in the past, I have my reservations about Koulibaly. the Premier League is different from Serie A, and at 30 this summer coming, he won’t have time on his side, plus the insane money that the Napoli chairman will demand. I will be surprised if Chelsea goes anywhere near him unless he is available on the cheap.

9th March 2020 at 1:18 pm #83469Chelseaman – what about the other 20+ games Barkley has played? He is so bad, he was terrible against Spurs, and bad against Liverpool other than the goal.

I won’t say Barkley had a terrible game against Spurs as he had an assist in that match, and only the post denied him a goal. as for Bayern, all of our team has been poor, sometimes teams can overpower teams, it has nothing to do with a player’s individual quality. the only thing that counts against Barkley is that he is inconsistent and has attitude problems, and I trust Frank to sort that out. watch out this space if he maintains this form could be the one to fire us into the top four.

9th March 2020 at 4:46 pm #83492CM – the assist against spurs is very misleading – he past the ball across and Alonso did all the work. He lost the ball countless times against Spurs.
Barkley is consistent – at being crap.
I really hope he is moved on in summer and we get a better player. He is not Chelsea worthy.
