Nine
I hope that won’t be the case and Frank won’t settle for Rudiger and Christensen partnership. because that partnership is a disaster. the best Partnership for me is Rudiger-Tomori one flanked by James and Azpi for the time being. infront of them, i prefer Kante and Kovacic._____________________________

28th February 2020 at 5:37 pm #78512Chelseaman, you’ve seen for yourself mate how many games Rudiger and Christensen have played together recently which suggests Frank has decided that’s the Centre Back partnership he currently feels most confident with doesn’t mean that will last forever and there might be games where we need to rotate.
Tbh with you I think Centre Back is an area that needs strengthening in the Summer and the rumours suggest Frank thinks that too. Like you I have misgivings about Christensen too.

28th February 2020 at 5:44 pm #785189, yes we look a bit weak in the centre of defence, but surely putting Kante in front of them doing what he does best is a no brainier….Pagan

28th February 2020 at 5:48 pm #78522Interesting from Frank’s press conference:
Lampard said: βIβve read quite a bit of false, nonsense articles this week, with people probably guessing players (who might be leaving).
βOf course there are decisions for the club ongoing in the summer β we have to look at that. But thereβs no way Iβm jumping into the future now β and a lot of those reports were wrong.β
Kepa has been left out for Chelseaβs past five matches, with Lampard having been critical of him following a number of errors by the Spaniard this season.
But Lampard remains adamant that there has been no rift behind the scenes.
He said: βThe relationshipβs fine between player and manager. I have 20 or so players to keep happy and canβt keep them all happy at the same time.
βAll I expect is their professionalism in training, which Kepaβs given.
βEvery position is the same: you train well to try and get in the team when youβre not in it, and when you play you try to get performance levels that keep you in the team.
βEvery player is in control of their own destiny with that to a degree.
βI will decide as we go. Thatβs why Iβm very strong on the fact that how you turn up and train every day is pivotal to whether you play.β

29th February 2020 at 7:45 am #78990We have not challenged in the Premier League for a couple of years.
βWe have to fight and work as hard as we can on the training pitch and in games to close that gap.
βCome the summer, of course as a club we want to move forward and make some decisions.
βWe are certainly on the same page here when I speak with the board.β Frank Lampard
The above suggests that the Club is looking to be active in the Summer window.
How active of course remains the question.

29th February 2020 at 3:56 pm #79257Do we want to sell Alonso? well we should think twice if that is our position currently. the man is very important to the team than some of our established wingers.

29th February 2020 at 4:55 pm #79286Alonso is a great Wing Back Chelseaman. Story of our season again today totally dominant bags of missed chances. Hopefully Everton do us a favour tomorrow.

29th February 2020 at 5:03 pm #79290AnonymousGreat result for Bournemouth – not so great for us but given the mauling midweek and the fact the cherries have the tail winds against us of late, happy with the point.
Fa cup and 4th place to celebrate – Iβm starting to sound like a gooner when they had wenger in charge

29th February 2020 at 5:08 pm #7929267, youβd have had plenty of sleep in the 80s, we only dreamed of being a top half, let alone top 4 team in those days…..Pagan

29th February 2020 at 5:39 pm #793039, thatβs down to organisation, and for that you need an on field leader, which sadly at the moment we lack…..Pagan

29th February 2020 at 8:52 pm #79448Since Christensen was reintroduced into the side, we had been conceding at 2 goals a game, isn’t it time that Frank explores different options, because whilst the boy is talented, he lacks concentration, and that is what you need to succeed as a centre back in the premier league. the earlier combination of Zouma and Tomori has been working well, it was better than the current one that includes Christensen.

29th February 2020 at 9:00 pm #79455Chelseaman, we’ve looked vulnerable in the middle of the defence no matter who has played and in what combination I thought when Rudiger came back we would look a bit less vulnerable and stop conceding goals to dead ball situations but we haven’t.
I think we have to recognise we haven’t got it right in that area and we need a Van Dijk commanding type player to come in in the Summer which means one going out probably Zouma.

29th February 2020 at 10:18 pm #79487Chelsea have received a significant boost ahead of the summer transfer window with the news that midfield anchor N’Golo Kante has no intentions to leave the club, according to Caught Offside.
This season, the former Leicester City midfielder, who helped France win the 2018 FIFA World Cup, has not featured as regularly as he would have liked, with him being hampered by injury issues.
Nevertheless, the tough-tackling midfield man has been available to make 22 appearances this season and has chipped in with three goals.
With Kante ready to stick around in West London, it will come as a big blow to both Juventus and Real Madrid, who were keeping tabs on the Frenchman.
Good news if true?

1st March 2020 at 2:44 am #79488Yes Pagan, I have seen it all as have you by the sounds. It still doesn’t make it any easier trying to understand what goes wrong in that 15 minute break that causes them to go to sleep thereafter until the match has been turned on its head. Way too predictable.
