cm… Rashford out is huge for us. His pace on the wing with martial has cuased us problems for a few seasons. Im a huge fan of Rashford, thought we should have gone in for him when Jose took over at old trafford.
Having said that, they’ve gone and signed a player who tore the division up in his first season with Watford and by all accounts, he’s going to play with heart for them as he’s fulfilling a lifetime ambition.
Should be a cracker, a win and it goes a long way to bumping confidence that this side can go for fourth with games to spare.
Kepa,
Dave, Tomori, Rudiger, James,
Kovacic, Kante, Mount,
Pulisic, Willian, Hudson Odoi
AbrahamPace all over the park…

6th February 2020 at 11:27 pm #67721that’d be awesome 442 if we could play 12 v 11 π
I’d probably start with Willian and have Pulisic on the bench assuming he would not be fit to start the match at this point in time.

7th February 2020 at 12:02 am #67732Yes 67 I can’t see Pulisic starting either he’s been out for a while and may not even be fit enough for the bench yet here’s hoping.

7th February 2020 at 7:48 am #67849AnonymousThat’s my maths everyone. I even checked and counted 11 players as well! π Need glasses and a brain.
Remove willian from that then, that would be my starting line up. when RLC fit replaces Kovacic…

7th February 2020 at 8:30 am #67861Given the vast number of games we have to play there’s room for everyone, imo RLC returning will be like a new signing but he’s been out injured for almost a year now and it will take him time to play himself back in but that does look a good midfield three.
Willian continues to blow hot and cold and personally I think CHO and Pulisic either side of Abraham looks more dynamic.

7th February 2020 at 2:37 pm #67974Very unlikely Pulisic will start against United heβs been out for several weeks now after suffering an abductor injury and has had little to no training and no competitive games in over a month.
Probably the best we can hope for v United is Pulisic to be on the bench but even that may be optimistic.
Even more unlikely to start v United is Loftus Cheek heβs been out for getting on towards a year has only just started training and has played one friendly U23 game.
Be great when we get both players back and starting but itβs unrealistic to expect both will start v United.

7th February 2020 at 3:01 pm #67989That is unlikely to happen now. and on the other hand, I was reading that Chelsea is looking bring the AJax keeper in the summer as Kepa’s replacement. so Kepa has four months to save his Chelsea career.

7th February 2020 at 3:38 pm #68004AnonymousMav… There’s a cliche saying about the twelf man being the crowd… not at the bridge geezer. If anyone see’s my brain being kicked down the fulham road this weekend, do have a kick about with it in Parsons green and leave it at the White Horse. I have a freezer there for when I loose my head, they know what to do.
As for the game, Reckon Chelsea will get the three points, but that new Nigerian chap might have something to say about the scoreline. Fancy him to score if he plays, 2-1 Chelsea.

7th February 2020 at 4:55 pm #68027Chelseaman, lots of rumours mate do you think that Marina or Frank would have shared that information with the media.
All pure speculation buddie cooked up by the press.

The link with the Ajax keeper is a possible one, and while Frank and Marina won’t share those stuff with the media. but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know Chelsea need a new keeper, and on the bases of that, they have written this report. not sure whether he will suit the demands of the PL or if he is big enough to withstand the physicality of the league, but right now any keeper who can do better than Kepa and Caballero is welcome.

7th February 2020 at 6:01 pm #68056Chelseaman, I believe Onana suggested that next Summer he might like to move from Ajax to the PL no suprise in that as he would probably treble his salary.
The media then put two and two together and come up with five and he’s joining Chelsea. No surprises there.
As I understand it Kepa has had problems in his private life having broken up with his Spanish girlfriend who moved with him to live with him in London leaving him now to be living in London on his own.
Put yourself in Kepa’s shoes and ask yourself whether such a situation wouldn’t impact on how you might do your job in similar circumstances.
Personally I don’t have any medium to long term concerns about our Goalkeeping situation as Petr Cech is sure to have a major input on what does and doesn’t need to be done going forwards and will offer Frank sound advice.

While I understand from the human side that it will be difficult to cope with such stress. I still believe that he is paid millions to balance between career families. so he needs to sort his problem quicker or face the consequences. we cannot afford to see that kind of performance from the world’s most expensive keeper. sooner or later Chelsea will need a new keeper whether to replace him or to compete with him. and on the current form, any keeper would displace Kepa. I want Kepa to succeed at Chelsea, but if he cannot do then, Onana is a good option, having seen his performances this season, and he is 1.9m tall, and big, I wouldn’t mind having him at Chelsea anyway, whether to displace or compete with Kepa. but the fact that he broke up with his girl doesn’t give him immunity for underperforming._____________________________

7th February 2020 at 10:27 pm #68174CM, not sure your totally up with the mental health side of things, the amount of money you have is irrelevant when you have to deal with personal problems, the fact you have a relatively young man alone, far away from home, who is in the public eye and whoβs slightest mistakes in when all said and done a trivial profession are castigated by the media and public alike. Fortunately times are changing and hopefully the club will give him the support he needs to get his mind and life back where it needs to be to realise his talent, thankfully long gone is the βman upβ attitude you seem to favour…..Pagan
