Chelseaman, “And by the way, forgive me if my words were out of order. I didnβt mean to hurt anyone neither Iβm out to stoke any trouble.”
Absolutely the right sentiments mate but it’s wholly wrong to suggest a cover up by the Metropolitan Police and Spurs.
If no evidence can be found nothing can be brought forwards and as both Chelsea and Spurs have said just because no evidence was found it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen or that Rudiger was wrong to bring it to the attention of the Referee. Cheers 9’s

8th January 2020 at 10:09 am #58009AnonymousCM I support Rudiger but he obviously heard something and interpreted incorrectly or maybe he made it up to take the pressure off a bit as Spurs were coming back into the game, the officials spent a lot of time and money for what was probably not even true. How many more times is that going to happen now.

8th January 2020 at 10:20 am #58011from Rudigers reaction on the pitch he not only made the monkey noises but did the actions with it, so IF true he MUST have seen the offender and general area it came from, no idea how good tv coverage or internal cctv is in grounds but would have though most areas of the stand if not all are under surveliance so for no evidence to be found either from tv or cctv doesnt bode well for Rudiger, it could have been an honest mistake, lots of booing and cat calls could sound fdifferent in a packed stadium>? we have to assume it was genuine of not then a false claim would do far more harm to getting rid of racism and its not something needed when trying to tackle such an issue….its a little odd all round tho

8th January 2020 at 11:06 am #58020AnonymousStevo… I have a long running joke with my chelsea mates worrying themselves with the net spend debate… I do think it originated from your neck of the woods and those idiots on Arse TV. In seasons when weve not won silverware we hear the FFP arguments. To see a chelsea and Arsenal fan start debating it made me chuckle this morning.
Yeah, sleep in my eyes and wool in my brain mate. Have a good new year.

8th January 2020 at 11:35 am #58024Suggestions Rudiger heard the chant βWho, who, who let the yids outβ… he may have misconstrued the βwho, who, whoβ as a racist βmonkey chantβ, hence his gesture.
That is feasible.

8th January 2020 at 12:52 pm #58026I agree with Steveo, I saw Rudiger also make those gestures. and you could feel from his reaction that he may have heard. and I think reporting something is one thing, and prosecuting the perpetrator is another. anyway, that is water under the bridge, Chelsea identified the man who racially abused Sterling he has been punished, similarly City has identified the man who abused Fred and he has been punished. I don’t know what is the mystery with this incident. Rudiger is not someone to make up that kind of stuff and he is not someone to misjudge that kind of stuff. he has experienced it in the past in Italy and is experienced enough to know that making such claims could damage his credibility and that of the club.

8th January 2020 at 1:20 pm #58029AnonymousBale would sort out the left back issue wouldnt he! π Would love to see him at the bridge. World Class hazard replacement… Helps young players develop as seen playing for Wales… Works tirelessly for the team… available for a decent price but his wages will be out of the park and universe crazy… Cobham has some nice golf clubs nearby… anyhow.. Bring on the bale.

8th January 2020 at 2:24 pm #58031AnonymousAmz… yep… but then ask yourself would he be Better than what weve got presently… hands down yes. I reckon in 10 games he’d score and create more goals and assists than willian and pedro combined. Both are useless when it comes to the final third of the pitch, neither it appearc can cross or shoot acurately enough. Hence why we dont win games, we dont stick the ball in the net enough times. I’ll take a one legged bale over a fully fit pair of Willian and Pedro. Plus, look at Ross Barkley, can run now and couldnt when he arrived. Our medical team are pretty good.

8th January 2020 at 2:39 pm #58034Stevo and Chelseaman, we’ll never know now lads.
I don’t think Rudiger made anything up he might well have misheard that chant Stevo but seemingly we was demonstrating that monkey signs had been made towards him which was visual and not something that could have been misheard.
I think it’s important that all in football recognise what both Clubs have said which was despite the investigation not being able to uncover any evidence of what Rudiger alleged that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
We must also hope it doesn’t restrict players from reporting racist insults from such things in Stadiums.

8th January 2020 at 2:44 pm #58035Looks like we are looking at a Centre Back?
“According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, the Blues are already lining up their potential replacement.
βThereβs one player, whose name has been mentioned to me, heβs a central defender at a rival Premier League club,β he said (via the Express).
βIβve been told that Chelsea are very, very keen on signing him. Some of the agents involved in the deal are quite hopeful that it could happen this month.
βIβve been sworn to secrecy but heβs a centre-back at a rival Premier League club. Heβs young, very promising and he would cost at least Β£50million (β¬59m).β
Ake???

8th January 2020 at 2:54 pm #58037Surely Ake is no longer considered a young prospect? he is now a recognised pretty decent CB IMHO, what is he 24? still young i guess seems to have been around for a while and getting one of your “own” back is always nice…surprised he hasnt been snapped up before, would have been cheaper then Harry and lord knows we need a CB or 12! doesnt seem to be the same amount of defenders and keeprs coming through tho these days? it seems we are producing more MF/attackers. The british Cb and keeper used to be the ones we produced more of at a higher standard…maybe shows how english football has changed over the years with more foreign coaches and owners

8th January 2020 at 3:01 pm #58044chrsit we couldnt give Mustafi away, he is a strange one, seasoned international, German and yet shocking, really awful even when fit!
If i had to guess based on your post i was thinking maybe the lad at Leicester (turk?) that replaced HM…
dont know why Ake would be so secret given he is an old boy playing Bouremouth but form Leicester? would be quite a coup currently?
other than that my knowledge of toher teams CB’s outside the usual contenders is pretty weak….
