21st December 2019 at 1:01 pm #57116“CHELSEA REWIND: The new Chelsea F.A Cup kit, marking 50 years since we first won it in 1970. This really is fantastic & will be worn by the players against Nottingham Forest in the 3rd Round on January 5th. Available to buy on January 2nd. Well done to all involved. ”
Looks so good I’m tempted to buy this shirt.?

21st December 2019 at 2:04 pm #57122“Chelsea are hopeful Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be fit by the middle of January.
The England international has been out with an Achilles injury since May.
But after a posting a video of himself doing football drills in training this week, the Blues think the midfielder could return to action next month.
A fit again Loftus-Cheek would help manager Frank Lampard, who has lamented his lack of attacking depth.” ?
“Loftus-Cheek scored 10 goals and five assists in his 40 appearances for Chelsea last term.”

21st December 2019 at 4:25 pm #57131I don’t know tje criteria they have used to select the best Chelsea team of the decade. but it seems they have messed up. how is Matic preferred ahead of Kante, Alonso ahead of Cole? and David Luiz ahead of Cahill?

The clues in the headline Chelseaman “Chelsea’s team of the decade according to statistics”.?

on what stats are they looking at? Kante has more goals, more trophies and more tackles than Matic in this decade. and goal has been the best LB in England since the slice of bread. i’m struggling to reconcile this really.

21st December 2019 at 8:44 pm #57177Chelsea man, I presume “give me sport” have averaged the performance marks given to each player for each match they’ve played as per the reports on the “give me sport” site.
I wouldn’t worry about it buddie everyone knows Kante is better than Matic and Cole is better than Alonso etc.?

22nd December 2019 at 10:22 am #57192Isuspect Pulisic hasn’t fully recovered from that hip problem against Palace since that injury he hasn’t been the same player.

22nd December 2019 at 10:09 pm #57297The calmness that Tomori has brought to our defence has been clear. he has supported both Zouma and Alonso. i have to Kante is comfortable when we are playing midfield two than midfield three. he was absolutely on another level today. and playing Kovacic next to him will bring the best out of him. pleased for Willian, as he has been on a dry spell recently, all is forgiven now. those two goals had been the difference of losing or tightening our grip on the fourth place. and Mason Mount and Abraham has been wonderful. on the plus side, it’s good to have young players who has been made at Chelsea and a manager who is a Chelsea man through and through. Rudiger has brought physicality and toughness to our defence. Zouma is improving every match i watch. he is a Lampard favourite. and the Captain today put in a massive performance.

23rd December 2019 at 3:50 am #57307Glad Alonso started he still is a major threat in that system. However I think James could offer much more as an attacking threat than Azpliqueta. Still think we need decent centre half and striker in the window.

23rd December 2019 at 4:59 am #57308AnonymousI don’t believe Abraham is the full answer. Should be doing better. Also often offside.

23rd December 2019 at 8:05 am #57310The only thing missing from Abraham’s game yesterday imo was a goal I thought he led the line brilliantly held the ball up well to bring others into play and bar the goal was a major contributor to the win.

23rd December 2019 at 9:16 am #57314AnonymousAlmost any striker can shield and hold up play, it’s not a particularly difficult part of a game, Giroud is very good at that also as are most other strikers, the main aim of any striker is to score goals regularly.

23rd December 2019 at 9:28 am #57315Moos, 13 goals in 25 games is a pretty good return for a young striker in his first season in the PL imo

23rd December 2019 at 9:40 am #57316I’m very happy with Abraham and how he led the line. goals will come. let us not forget, it is his first season at the top level and i suspect he hasn’t fully recovered from that Valencia injury fully. and because we have no alternative he has to play half fit. like Nine says, 13 in 25 appearance is a decent return!
And by the way only Drogba and Costa had performed better in leading our line and both were 25 when they joined us. this young lad is 22 only and it is his first opportunity. yes he has a few things to learn, but that comes with playing many games.

23rd December 2019 at 9:55 am #57317AnonymousGuys, Abraham played for swansea in the season they were relegated from the premier league. Scored four goals I believe.
Having said that, heβs one in two this season so really canβt complain when you throw in a few assists. Heβs part of a developing team.
Going to be absolutely integral over the coming few years for us. Moos… take away his goals and see how many games we would have won, or the points heβs got for us this season, a much better indicator of his worth to the side.

23rd December 2019 at 10:06 am #57318AnonymousNever said I don’t rate Abraham, his my first choice as well even if we do bring in another striker which is almost a certainty, however I do think he should be scoring a couple more goals or at least test opposing keepers a bit more, his very tall and also should be directing more headers goal wards.
