Not good enough today but injuries and a CL hangover probably played it’s part too. Easy to be wise after the event but perhaps Frank should have played Michy rather than Giroud although neither he or Giroud for different reasons are probably good enough for a Club with top 4 ambitions.
Sweating on the Tammy injury now we could be in trouble if he’s out for a while.

19 shots but only 6 on target versus West Hamโs 5 shots with 4 on target tells its own story this is not new and it pre dates Frank and is something Chelsea have to sort out if we are really going to progress.

we were beyond bad yesterday, it had nothing to do with the European game. It was simply because we were God Aweful. No hindsight needed, I said it before going to the game, Giroud should be no where near the starting 11 and outlined why he shouldn’t start, I was proved correct, He didn’t press, he couldn’t head, his touch was non existent, nothing stuck to his feet and generally, we looked better when he was off the pitch with non striker on it. It was a disgraceful decision by Lampard to not start or bring on Michy given the back pairing of West Ham. they wont have had an easier game than yesterday. Pedro was his usual rubbish self, and the front three should have been Michy, Willian and CHO/ Pulisic. There was nothing to cause any issues for West hams back line. No movement… I never wanna to pay money to watch Pedro, Giroud start again for Chelsea. They’ve never been good enough outside of squad places, now, theyre just blocking the youth progressing, transfer ban or not, ship them out January no messing. Send another message to the youth.
Whatever Lamps was trying yesterday should be consigned to the bin because it was terrible. I was sat watching and I only really remember Mason mount having one chance that went down the throat of West Hams Debut keeper. Who didnt have to make any kind of save. Kepa, made about three great saves and kept the score respectable. West Ham fans couldn’t believe the gift of 3 points we handed them yesterday.
Chelsea should offer West Ham Giroud and Pedro for Antonio. The guy put inn a massive shift and would be a great back up striker/ winger for Tammy Abraham.

Giroud and Pedro had to get a game at some point in time but now they need to go as the youth players can do much better or buy someone. Kante though had to start, no worries there about that guy having to be rested.

Pagan, no logic to playing a donkey up front when you need a racehorse. Tammy is that, michy is also capable of running around applying a press.
Giroud can use his France game time to be put in a shop window. But him and Pedro just shouldnโt start again. Theyโre square pegs in round holes. Lampard got it wrong and will bounce back, but I doubt heโll make the same mistakes as playing such a lethargic lifeless front two as Pedro and giroud. They looked like players who know their time is up, much like that goon Fabregas, rattles out the pram when he knew he was on his way.

442, that depends on how Frank wanted them to play, Giroud plays and has played in the past at this level because heโs good enough to. What you have to do is change tactics according to the players you have at your disposal.
