Down to 4 bidders now YB final bids must be in by 11/04 winning bid announced on or soon after 18/04. Given the enormity of it all they’ve done well to go at that pace imo. Cheers 9’s

30th March 2022 at 2:55 pm #195173Chelsea fans need to keep supporting the team. The new owners whoever that may be will soon know more about the club when they understand the fans empathy with the Blue shirt, if they do not acknowledge that there investment may not be as attractive as they thought

30th March 2022 at 8:14 pm #195175I’m more worried about the Ricketts family whom I was reading are receiving preferential treatment from some senior figures at the club. I was reading that Bruce Buck have organised a meeting for them to meet the Chelsea Supporters Trust to convince them. I’m not sure if that could be blindfolding them or clear the air talks. But this could have a negative long term impact to the club. Because Chelsea is a multi race, Multi religion club. I’m anxious about this process.

31st March 2022 at 7:41 am #195176Although they say the best bidder not the wealthiest will win it whatever that means, wealth has to a consideration and apparently the Ricketts are the wealthiest, whether they going to be another Glazers noone knows but it’s going to take deep pockets to run a club like Chelsea not to mention the stadium issue.

31st March 2022 at 5:24 pm #195182The issue isnβt about the racism row of their father. there are other reasons that we should stay clear of these Rickets family. I was reading that they are politically related to Donald Trump (Former U.S president) who is facing multiple scandals at the moment. I was reading that the Rickets family have been one of his biggest campaign donors, picture this the media wonβt miss the opportunity to ask Thomas Tuchel questions related to that subject, and the last we would want is Thomas Tuchel answering questions related to Trumpβs politics. In that sense, I want us to stay clear of them. I think Todd Beohly is the best person to own the club, I wouldnβt care about that Spurs fan, that is a lesser problem than, the baggage that the Rickets family are carrying.
Whoever the owner of our club is will set the precedent for our club and how it will be seen globally. Because football is a global issue as we have millions of fans around the globe, I wouldnβt want our club to be seen as a club that stands for discrimination, when Roman spent considerable resources and time-fighting discrimination. My hope is, that the U.K government will listen to the fans, we are heading into dangerous waters if the club doesnβt listen to the fans. I remember the former Liverpool owners and how they have made Liverpool suffer and the fan unrest that distracted the club. We are also witnessing how the Glazers are making United suffer.
Iβm not feeling comfortable at the moment with these Rickets family. My preference was the Saudis, if they are rejected, then Todd Beohly all day long for me. Iβm not buying their apology and their PR meetings with Paul Canoville. There are more to this than meets the eye.

12th May 2022 at 9:26 am #196035Relegated to the 2nd page. Can’t have that. Too big for that so I’ll post. Big win at Leeds. That’ll give WF and associates nothing to be negative about for a while re the top 4. That was always a certainty and the 200/1 odds on was clear. Oh wait there’s still a small issue of an FA Cup final on the weekend v Liverpool but in his eyes it’s a worthless Mickey Mouse cup (his words). Don’t like our chances there on current defensive form and I think this string of 1-1 results against them is about to come to an abrupt halt. Looks like Kovacic is out so we are desperate to fill the mid field with the other two Kante and Jorginho who are both in doubt, or Liverpool will destroy us. Always one to be positive but Tuchel needs to find a solution, and fast, or it’ll be all over inside 15 minutes.

31st May 2022 at 5:25 pm #196460Looks like clubs are testing our ability to keep our best players. There are reports that suggested, that United, Liverpool, City, and Barcelona are looking for Mason Mount, the reports indicate those clubs want to take advantage of his low wages at Chelsea. Mason Mount is our best player, and he is a Cobham academy graduate, we need to keep him at all costs, even if it means breaking our salary structure. he is worth it, at 23 he has his best years ahead of him. and after rival clubs ridiculed us for not promoting youth within, to lose him to rial is terrible. he is a future Chelsea captain.
Other reports are also suggesting that City and Real Madrid are also looking for Reece James. the reports suggest that City in particular is eying Reece James as a potential replacement for Walker. Again that should never happen in a million years. Reece James like Mason Mount is our future and is an academy graduate. The new owners have a few issues to solve.

20th June 2022 at 9:47 am #196706Chelsea Football Club today announced that Bruce Buck, who has served as Chairman since 2003, will be stepping down from his role effective 30 June. He will continue to support the Club as a Senior Advisor.
During Buckβs chairmanship, Chelsea solidified its position as one of the worldβs elite football clubs and a globally recognised brand followed by millions. In that time, the menβs team earned 18 major trophies (more than any other English club) while Chelsea FC Women won 12 major trophies. The Club also grew its commercial revenues significantly, established world class training facilities at Cobham, and developed one of the best youth academies in football. In 2010, Buck, as Trustee and Chairman, helped establish The Chelsea FC Foundation, which supports a broad range of initiatives including increasing access to youth athletics, hosting education and employment programmes, and leading anti-discrimination campaigns.
‘I am proud to have helped Chelsea realize great success on the pitch and make a positive impact in the community,’ said Buck. ‘Now is the right time to step down and let new ownership build on the strong foundations we have in place. The owners have a compelling vision for Chelseaβs future, and I look forward to helping them achieve it in this new role alongside our incredible staff, players, coaches and supporters.’
‘Bruce has led Chelsea Football Club to the highest levels of international and domestic football, while also developing one of the most active social responsibility projects in sport,’ said Todd Boehly, Chelsea Football Club co-controlling owner. ‘We thank Bruce for his service and his commitment to the Club.’

21st June 2022 at 6:42 pm #196725In fairness to Woodward, he was absolutely brilliant in terms of the commercial side. It was when he started getting involved in football matters, it went horribly wrong. Keep him away from football matters and he’s an asset to any club.
