999 – Bryant has also mentioned Usmanov at Everton, so he’s not just picking on Chelsea! Maybe he’s a Liverpool fan!

2nd March 2022 at 5:04 pm #194662So many rival fans and football pundits, wishing to see Roman, and i won’t be surprised to see even manager wanting that. Because they want Chelsea to crush out. The likes of Neville and Caragher haven’t made their hate towards Chelsea any secret and them wanting Roman to face sanctions. We see fans repeating and even secretely celebrating.
Chelsea Football Club will attract the best if it’s sold. My hope is that Roman doesn’t sell the club, but if he does. I would wish a middle east investor preferably Arabs😊. I don’t wish to see American investors. They are parasites, look at how they ruined United.

2nd March 2022 at 6:34 pm #194665You never know what’s around the corner. End of an era. He certainly supercharged the premier league when he came in. Different thing today.

2nd March 2022 at 7:53 pm #194666I would like to address the speculation in media over the past few days in relation to my ownership of Chelsea FC. As I have stated before, I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. In the current situation, I have therefore taken the decision to sell the Club, as I believe this is in the best interest of the Club, the fans, the employees, as well as the Club’s sponsors and partners.
The sale of the Club will not be fast-tracked but will follow due process. I will not be asking for any loans to be repaid. This has never been about business nor money for me, but about pure passion for the game and Club. Moreover, I have instructed my team to set up a charitable foundation where all net proceeds from the sale will be donated. The foundation will be for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine. This includes providing critical funds towards the urgent and immediate needs of victims, as well as supporting the long-term work of recovery. Please know that this has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, and it pains me to part with the Club in this manner. However, I do believe this is in the best interest of the Club.
I hope that I will be able to visit Stamford Bridge one last time to say goodbye to all of you in person. It has been a privilege of a lifetime to be part of Chelsea FC and I am proud of all our joint achievements. Chelsea Football Club and its supporters will always be in my heart.
Thank you,
Roman
Sorts the rumours out great gesture.

2nd March 2022 at 9:18 pm #194670Unlikely imo Adlab. Be expensive giving whatever Roman gets for the Club he’s giving away and then buying it again.

9th March 2022 at 10:50 pm #194847Nobody knows how tomorrow will look like, as no obe saw Roman coming and changing Chelsea and with it changing the face of English football. These past two weeks, people were speculating that, once Roman sells the club, they will stop being competitve and will not win anything. Most who hold that view are our close neighbours who feel we have stolen their God given right to success.
When Roman bought Chelsea, he invested wisely and put in a strong system in place. All those 19 years, Chelsea has rarely been in trouble. When Uefa put in place the shite FFP in place, he knew, Chelsea were among the clubs that had been targeted, he invested heavily in the Academy which has become the hen that lays the golden eggs. Despite the limited stadium, Chelsea collects the fourth most revenues in the PL. The squad are mostly young amd talented players, Havertz, Mount, Pulisic, Hodson Odoi, Reece James, are all under the age of 25. Werner, Ziyech, Kovacic,Chilwell, Rudiger, Loftus Cheek are under 30.
Plus add Gallagher, Broja, Gilmour and Colwill from our loan army. Then you will understand that Roman has done more than spending on Ready made players.
The most important people to retian right now are Marina and others.

10th March 2022 at 7:01 am #194849Looking like it will be a Utd-Chelsea final in the FA Youth Cup. Best of luck in the semi-final. We got through last night. Will be a great final potentially between the 2 most successful sides in the competition’s history.

10th March 2022 at 9:59 am #194853Abramovich has been sanctioned. I presume this means he can’t sell the club. Any other news on this?

10th March 2022 at 10:07 am #194854Well, the British government have today decided to kill Chelsea. Let us where this goes, but i was hearing Chelsea cannot sell tickets to the supporters, cannot buy players, cannot renew contracts, cannot sell products.which will mean thousands of jobs lost in the U.K economy if Chelsea ceases to exist, because i can’t see the club surviving from these sanction, unless the courts intervene.

10th March 2022 at 10:08 am #194856Chelsea will continue to operate under license and players and staff will continue to be paid. Only season ticket holders can attend (not sure on away supporters) and the shop will close. The sanction is to stop Roman making any money from the club, not to punish the club itself. What it means beyond this season I guess no one knows.

10th March 2022 at 10:13 am #194857If the club cannot sell thickets, cannot sell products, cannot sign new players, that is as good as it goes. It means you cannot see such club surviving from that!

10th March 2022 at 10:28 am #194858Obviously, i was always concerned with the people of Ukraine and the problem they are facing. And i support every neccessary eventuality that can be used to help them. So if the U.K government decided killing Chelsea will help the people of Ukraine, so be it . Because i can see staff lay off especially those working in the commercial department. Soon the club will cease to exist. As for me, i can’t imagine watching the premier league without Chelsea. So it means this will be my last subscrition in my tv. Next i would see where it goes, if the U.K government finds a solution. If not watching Laliga is an option.

10th March 2022 at 11:10 am #194860As bad as it could be for the Club and fans of the Club.
The restrictions announced are to ensure Roman doesn’t make any money out of Chelsea going forwards he never has of course.
Chelsea FC are an asset it’s in nobody’s best interests to run it into the ground especially when there are buyers prepared to pay a substantial sum for the Club.
The sale of the Club will clearly be taken out of Roman’s hands now.
Summer transfers and new contracts won’t be agreed until a new owner buys the Club.
Chelsea fans are in for a period of great uncertainty.
The Government has also sanctioned Roman’s UK properties it’s not in the Government’s best interests to let those properties fall into a state of disrepair as the Government will want to get the best price they can for them.

10th March 2022 at 11:25 am #194865ESPN senior writer Mark Ogden told BBC Radio 5 Live that the government sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich could have serious ramifications for Chelsea.
“It’s multi-layered, it’s huge and it affects every little area of the club.
“They can’t sort out new contracts so they can’t negotiate a new contract with Antonio Rudiger who is one of their best players. He’s pretty certain to leave as free agent.
“Once we see fine print, it’s cataclysmic for Chelsea. It’s unprecedented.
“Chelsea have become one of the biggest clubs in world. Abramovich transformed them from a club with great ambition but nothing to back it up to the reigning European champions, the reigning world club champions.
“No matter what happens from this point, they won’t be the Chelsea we’ve grown to know. Abramovich has been loaning them what amounts to £90m a year, nobody does that anymore.”
