Mak, FSG are investors in Liverpool they bought Liverpool as an investment and their policy is for Liverpool to be self sufficient. I might be wrong but I can’t see Liverpool spending big again without they’ve sell big too.

13th January 2022 at 9:57 pm #193387Emmanuel Pettit is trying to spread a very false narrative about Chelsea that Thomas Tuchel is unhappy at Chelsea and his body language is reminiscent of his last months at PSG. i have never seen a worse pundit than this guy. he is trying to start a false rumour to destablise Chelsea.

23rd January 2022 at 8:10 pm #193787Well, that is a huge win for Thomas Tuchel. he must be relieved as the vultures in the media were circling him trying to find a fault from everything he does these days. but we still need to improve some key areas. I think Ziyech is more comfortable as a right-winger than a right no 10. and we have seen that in all games we have played against Spurs in which we have played back four. let us continue back four from now and then. it brings the best out of not only Ziyech but also Mount. the first team to defeat Don Antonio long may it continue!

29th January 2022 at 9:36 pm #193880Juventus is interested to sign Jorginho from Chelsea, while at the same time, Chelsea is interested to sign M. Deligt from Juventus. I hope we sense an opportunity and arrange a swap deal with Juventus. they get their man and we get ours. I think Deligt is only 22 very tall and strong in the air, he scores goals, he is a ball playing CB, I was also hearing that Chelsea is also negotiating with N.Sule from Bayern, who has decided to run down his contract. The club is eyeing to replace him with Christensen should he play hardball. And this Deligt guy can also be Rudiger’s replacement. and with Chalobah also signing and the club keeping Silva for another year. We will be fine

7th February 2022 at 5:47 pm #194078I was reading that Rudiger has shifted goal post and is now demanding £225k p/w which more than his original demand of £200k p/w. If this is accurate, i think the club has to draw a line from this saga. We can’t let it distract our transfer targets. Either the club has ti cave in to his demands and give him what he wants or they should walk away from the negotiations and identify his replacement, either from our loan army or from Europe. Just give him the maximum we can offer and f he rejects give him a break!
The reports also state that Rudiger has changed his demands after Real Madrid presented him with £173k first offer which he rejected swiftly, but they came back with a second offer which is undisclosed but matches the player’s demands. We no longer need our play this game, either we give him or use more than that to replace him. The player’s preference is to stay at Chelsea if his expectations are met, but that counts for nothing when you have other clubs who are offering more.
Amazingly, the report also states that Christensen is the likely of all trio to depart and the club is optimistic about retaining Rudiger. If i had to choose who to lose between the trio, i would have chosen Christensen. But this was contarary to the reports of earlier in October when Christensen was the likely one to sign wb extension, but since then he has changed agent and signed up to an agent who is associated with Barcelona. I think he is the one to lose more than the club. He was entering hid prime, he was regular and was developing to a better CB under Thomas Tuchel.
I have also seen reports stating that Azpi’s difference with the club is the length of the contract and not a financial issue. It was reported that Azpi wants to retire at Chelsea. Well, give him the 3 year contract he is demanding, he has a tremendous fitness record. And he offers us leadership. Our young fullbacks will learn a lot from him.

22nd February 2022 at 11:57 pm #194460Chelsea is prepared for every scenario. In recent times, the club has been self sufficient to run on it’s generated finance. The only challenge will be our long term stadium expansion plans that are dependent on Roman. And he smart enough to have acquired Israeli and Portuguse citizenship. So the probability of his assets frozen are very low.
Chelsea Football Club have plans for self sufficiency dates back in 2009 when the youth system was revamped, and our commerical deals increased. So i still don’t think Roman will face any sanctions, because he has no control over what happens in Ukraine and are only connected because he was once a friend of Putin? But the club is well prepared and equiped enough to face those challenges.

23rd February 2022 at 8:15 am #194464Very difficult to predict what may happen given Roman’s UK visa problems I doubt too much of his money remains in the UK and he is now an Israeli Citizen it could hamper our Summer transfer plans but we have the likes of Gallagher, Gilmour,Broja and Colwill ready to return in the Summer and we generally sell to buy.
Terrible situation in Ukraine which is very dangerous for the World.

24th February 2022 at 7:41 pm #194507Sources close to Roman Abramovich insist he has done nothing that would make him liable to sanctions. But even were it to happen, it is understood to be unlikely there would be ANY impact on Chelsea.

“I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans.”

2nd March 2022 at 12:27 pm #194658What do you all think
Roman Abramovich’s future as Chelsea owner is in doubt after a Swiss billionaire claimed he has been offered the chance to buy the club.
Hansjorg Wyss told Swiss newspaper Blick that Abramovich “wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly” after the threat of sanctions was raised in Parliament.
Abramovich gave “stewardship and care” of Chelsea to its foundation trustees following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Chelsea have chosen not to respond to Wyss’s claims.
The west London club have always previously denied reports that they are up for sale.
Abramovich, 55, is believed to have strong ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin, and other Russian billionaires have already been the subject of European Union sanctions where their assets have been frozen.
That has included Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, who has commercial links to Everton.
The United Kingdom government is yet to sanction Abramovich or Usmanov, but Labour MP Chris Bryant said in Parliament on Tuesday that Abramovich was “terrified of being sanctioned which is why he is going to sell his home, and another flat as well.”
Wyss also said: “Abramovich is trying to sell all of his villas in England, he also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly.
“I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.”
A spokesperson for Abramovich declined to comment on those claims.
Should Abramovich decide to sell Chelsea, it would be a seismic moment for the club and English football.
Having bought the Blues in 2003 for £140m, Chelsea have been transformed under the Russian’s reign, and in many ways it has set the template for how much finance was needed to compete at the top end of the Premier League.
In total, Abramovich has loaned the club more than £1.5bn which has brought great success.
Under his ownership, the club have won the Champions League twice, both the Premier League and FA Cup five times, the Europa League twice and the League Cup three times.
In August 2021, they won the Uefa Super Cup and they recently won their first Club World Cup, meaning the Blues have won every trophy possible since Abramovich took over at the club.
Turbulent week for Chelsea
24 February: Russian President Vladimir Putin launches a military invasion of Ukraine.25 February: Labour’s Chris Bryant tells MPs the UK Government should remove Roman Abramovich’s ownership of Chelsea and seize his assets, citing concerns about alleged links to corruption.
26 February: Abramovich announces he is handing “stewardship and care” of Chelsea to its charitable foundation.
27 February: Foundation members express concern over whether Charity Commission rules would allow them to run the club. Chelsea beaten 11-10 on penalties by Liverpool in League Cup final at Wembley after game ended 0-0.
28 February: Abramovich asked by Ukraine to help support their attempts to reach a “peaceful resolution” with Russia.
1 March: The Charity Commission says it is “seeking information” from Chelsea after the club was placed under the control of its charitable foundation.
2 March: Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss claims he has been offered the chance to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.

2nd March 2022 at 2:16 pm #194660Adlab, all we know for sure is that Abramovich is still the owner of Chelsea FC and that he’s looking to relinquish day to day control of the Club everything else is just rumours and at this stage I wouldn’t rule anything either in or out.
I think it’s a tad odd that the only questions Chris Bryant seems to raise in the H of C is about Abramovich. Maybe he’s a Spurs fan.😊
If there’s going to be a change of ownership and again I wouldn’t rule it out I would prefer it wasn’t a consortium or a Sovereign State but as fans we get no choice.
Whoever might buy Chelsea they are unlikely to be as good an owner as Abramovich has been for the Club.
Time will tell but there are more important things to worry about.
