Yeah nine no room I our squad once everyone fit, I could only see incomings if there were players moved on and see neither happening in January.

Yeah nine I think if we thought chilwell was going to be out full season we would have needed to do something…although cancelling young maatsens loan short may have been the best solution.

Been watching more of him and gossip column has rumours barca want him in summer, I hope not because if we move alonso on I would love to see maatsen come into to our squad next season, along with gilmour and Gallagher replacing saul and barkley.

Adding to chalobah, James, RLC, Mount and CHO as top quality academy players in the first team. Maybe Broja too….Am I forgetting anyone? Hard to keep track right now! it’s a much different chelsea than when for years JT was our only homegrown player πŸ˜€

I was reading that Chilwell is back on light training in the gym and is targeting mid January return. That is the best news i have heard recently. We missed him more than any other player. Since we lost him, we haven’t kept a clean sheet. Also, i’m reading Kante and Chalobah are back. That will ease the load from Jorginho though. We will be stronger once again. But my only worry is Lukaku not firing all cylinders.

Lots of youngsters called into the Chelsea squad ahead of the Brentford game given all the injuries plus Covid and the likes of Kante and Kovacic not being fit enough to play 2 games in a week too I think we will see a scratch team probably with one or two of the youngsters in with Brentford going all but full strength they will probably be too much for us in the circumstances.

More time needed there I guess.

There are three Chelsea debuts tonight at Brentford as Thomas Tuchel makes eight changes from our weekend draw at Wolves.
Academy trio Harvey Vale, Xavier Simons and Jude Soonsup-Bell come into the side for their first appearances at senior level, the latter up front supported by Vale and Ross Barkley.

I think that Chelsea fans have to accept that given all the various circumstances Tuchel had little choice but to name a team like the one he has.

We’ll done to Tuchel and the squad for digging a win out in difficult circumstances.😊

Well, I have to say that was a huge goal for Lukaku and the result was huge for Chelsea. it was an impressive 45-minute display. he gave us a focal point in attack. against Pulisic, Villa was comfortable. but once Lukaku came on, we took our game a notch higher. also, CHO gave us the width and skill we have been lacking.

Important win perhaps not in the title race but in staying in the top 3. Difficult game. Super Rom! 😊

Ben Chilwell is set to miss the rest of the season and will undergo knee surgery in a bid to return to fitness in time for the start of the 2021/22 campaign.”

                              Sad news.

I have to say that is awful news to get only days after receiving positive news from him that he was making light training. We missed him very much, he was in the form of his life. Now we should consider someone with experience to replace.

My preferred choice is Lucas Digne from everton on a loan deal. He has PL experience, he is a cheaper option, and he has fallen out with Rafa. So why not grab him until the end of the season. With the option of buying him should things work.

Another option is Theo Hernendez from AC Milan, rumours says he will likely cost Β£54m to the club, very expensive IMO! we should think of making that kind of investment in the summer. I checked his stats, he has 6 goals in 33 apps in 2019/20, he had 7 goals in 33 Apps again in 2020/21, and he has 2 goals in 15 Apps this season. He is worth of a consideration.

The final man in the frame is Ajax left back NicolΓ‘s Tagliafico. Unlike Hernendez, he will be cheaper option, at 28 entering his prime, have CL experience, knows how to win. He thicks many boxes.

But at the moment my belief is, Lucas Digne is our best option in this mid season transfer, and he is out of favour at his current club. I was reading that Everton are interested to sign Barkley in January, why not use him as a bait? It’s Tuchel and Marina’ s call though.😊

Knew this Gilmour sad saga was going to happen, developing players should not join a perenial losers club, they will end up destroying their career, bad move by Chelsea management or whoever it was.

The good news is that Kante is on the bench alongside Havertz. it seems that our injuries are easing now. with back-to-back games against our title rivals, we need a fully fit Kante and a firing Lukaku. Werner should be back in the coming days, the only short-term absenteeism we have now is T.Silva and Loftus Cheek. We all know that Chilwell misses the rest of the season. so I’m not counting him. I think the next few weeks will be crucial.

We were awful after the opening goal and only improved marginally when Kante came on tbh as frustrating as it is to let an equaliser in in injury time Brighton deserved at least a point tonight.

The 2 injuries prevented any tactical substitutions.

The Liverpool page isnt the only one that is quiet. I guess the realisation that we won’t be winning the PL this season isnt entirely a Liverpool concept.

Anyway, I wanted to pop over here and say that I absolutely loved the game. It didnt keep the same pace all the way through but there was a lot of great football from both teams. I think that the 2 red card decisions aside, we can be very pleased with our performances.

Sean talked about how Chelsea dominated the midfield and he’s not wrong, City do the same but to an incredible level because of how good they are at possession based football but, it’s a few games against ye now where I think your midfield has been better than ours.

I’m not sure why we didn’t have Thiago, maybe he had covid. He’d have made a huge difference for us, as I honestly think that besides Salah, he might be our 2nd best player this season, only rivaled by the constantly threatened Alisson.

Anyway lads, I think we’re both still in the LC and as you well know, we’re both very capable of winning the CL. Our season isn’t over and both teams put in performances to be proud of.

Ah, Kovacic’s goal was unsavable. I made a joke at the time about why Kelleher didnt stop it… but even a legendary keeper in his prime wouldnt have saved it. Unreal goal.

If you lads don’t mind me polluting your page with a Liverpool related question, what are your thoughts on FSG’s backing of Klopp?

To refresh memories, in around the incredible Coutinho sale, we spent very well with Alisson Fabinho and Van Dijk. What an exchange! 3 world class players.

However since we won the PL, I think they’ve slacked off.

It’s my opinion that Klopp is too good to be wasting his time with owners who can’t match his ambitions, so I think he should leave in the summer. This has flipped LFC fans minds a little but to be clear, i only say this because I think it would be best for a manager who deserves a real chance at winning more top level trophies, which I think he would at other clubs.

We all know the quality of liverpools starting 11 yadda yadda but it ends there and it’s actually getting worse.

What do you non-rose tinted lads think of this scenario? again, apologies for hijacking your forum, I am just interested in the perspective of a rival fanbase.
