Yeah nine, by his own admission he knew the chelsea gig was short term and he chose to do it anyway. He should look at it as the ultimate learning experience and a privilege as its far more enlightening than the experiences Gerrard has had for example. I think it was a mutually beneficial arrangement while it lasted and was brought to end at the right time.

He managed a top club and needs to put it to good use and get back in the game if he serious about it.

Honestly nine, after listening to him, I am not sure he is hungry enough for it. We will see and of course only wish him the best he is my favourite chelsea player.

Slightly better news on the injury front from the Tuchel press conference “Jorginho and Reece James are fit to play.” Sadly still no Kante and Kovacic is still probably a bit away.

Team picks itself imo but as always I trust Tommy.

I would be surprised to see Tuchel drop Ziyech now that he is playing well and is finally over his injury. He has scored the winner in our last game. I can’t see CHO starting ahead of him. I would opt Azpi over Christensen, simply West Ham will sit back and try to hit us on the break. So Azpi will support the attack and put in crosses from the RCB.

We’ll see YB CHO was rested on Wednesday. Ziyech has improved of late but I’m still not fully convinced with Ziyech as for Azpi over Christiansen West Ham are a big team and rely on dead ball situations a lot Christiansen height could be an advantage there? But whoever Tommy picks I’ll support.

Gutted Kante still out, was thinking he seems to be injured a lot lately so checked this out and it’s alarming if you look at the history

He played 33/38 prem games for Leicester in his season there

In his first 3 seasons with us he played 35, 34, 36

Last 2 seasons though…. just 20 and 24!

This season just 6 of 14 so far

When he is fit there is no one better but that trend is getting worrying now 😞

That is good news for us. Lukaku finally needs to show what he is capable of. I would like to see Havertz also start alongside him. With Mount simply because Mount presses. Havertz will feed off from Lukaku scrap balls.

2 boo boos from Mendy probably a bit more of a freak goal than a Mendy mistake for the winner but they all count. The first goal which was stupid really cost us going in at ht 2 nil up which could well have made it a different game.

All the stats suggest Chelsea dominated the game today even though Chelsea weren’t at their best and giving such a silly penalty away was ridiculous, Mendy has to take the majority of the blame but a percentage of the blame also lies with Jorginho with the poor back pass.

The winning goal was a freak goal and when you’re not quite at your best and missing 3 key players and concede two goals like the first and third goals it’s always likely to cost you.

Lukaku’s performance in the second half was worrying and losing Havertz up front at the end of the first half didn’t help Chelsea.

Yeah Nine I’m glad you have said it too, I know he been injured but we can’t have someone just standing up front waiting for chances to be created for him.

At least with havertz in that position he can come deep and move in to channels, forcing opposition defenders to move out of position and create spaces for chances to be created.

I hope we dont lose haverz too, people font understand what he gives us and its difficult for us to gain any sort of momentum when we forced into multiple changes to line ups game to game.

We dominating games but not scoring think it’s a combination of bad luck and bad finishing, Lukaku was only really prolific in Italy I think so let’s see the jury still out on that, I saw Tuchel shouting at Mendy when he was messing around with the ball at his feet, he needs to sit down with him and Jorginho they making too many mistakes despite their excellent seasons. Can’t really fault anyone else except the finishing was once again very poor even the crosses from everyone were poor how often they tried to kick the ball through a player. This result and the Burnley result was not good for my fading health. United being a sort of jinks side for us could still handle a draw despite our overwhelming domination.

Out since the end of October Kovacic tested positive for the Covid virus at Cobham on Tuesday morning, just 24 hours after returning to training for the first time following a hamstring injury.
