Besides Nine, when missed penalties are the difference between success or failure it is evident the team as a whole didn’t do enough.
I think it’s good that he missed them, as people who coach younger players like pagan does can console their youngsters when they miss penalties by telling them, “it’s OK, don’t beat yourself up, even European cup winners, champs league winners and balon d’or nominees like jorginho can miss a penalty” ๐

Well, our finishing could be our down fall this season. We can’t keep wasting chances like that. We are already missing Chiwlell on the left flank. Alonso is lacking pace and match sharpness. Also Werner is a passenger.

Sometimes there will always be that odd result which you may drop points regardless of the opposition. So you can measure how one team plays against the other. I saw people mocking Chelsea for failing to beat United. And saying City and Liverpool overrun them? Football doesn’t work lile that. The day you are supposed to drop points you will do regardless of what you throw at the opposition.
Chelsea played three tough matches in 8 days, so it and we won two and drawn one. I would have taken this at the start if i was told that you face City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester and Unirted and still competing for the league. We were still missing some heavy hitters and without them we did a good job.

4 very valuable home points dropped against teams we should have won easily if we took our chances, I just hope Tuchel finds a solution in January assuming Lukaku is not going to put them away, I given up hope on Werner, misses far too many reasonable chances. I don’t why Loftus Cheek is getting stick everywhere I thought he played well enough, he had a huge responsibility as he had to play defending and attacking roles in a big way and he managed it quite well. Ziyech and Ohio another two who don’t take their chances though they also played well but faded as usual. Their goal was a big gift. Think they only had 2 shots on goal.

Brian, the problem is that it’s not just one game the same thing happened in the previous home game v Burnley and lots of games prior to that the reaction from the Chelsea posters on here and indeed on the TT Chelsea site to yesterdayโs game is much broader than just a reaction to yesterdayโs game and reflects the frustrations Chelsea fans have felt for quite some time watching the team squander so many chances when completely dominating a game.
Itโs been going on for too long now Brian and Chelsea wonโt win another PL title until they solve that problem and start taking the numerous chances they create when completely dominating an opposition team.

Re the Watford game Tuchel says Lukaku has had no adverse reaction to returning to action and is “ready to progress”. Kante and Kovacic are still out and there are doubts over James, Jorginho and Werner, who trained today but are nursing minor problems and will need to be assessed.
