Terrible team selected by Tuchel and a bad all round performance give or take a couple of players, Noone can rely on penalty shootouts forever, the law of averages says we will lose the next penalty shootout, so Tuchel needs to choose a better and more balanced team. As for Saul Niguez we were conned, his a total waste of time and space, send him home. We have far better players who can do the job sitting on the bench itching to play.

Team selection was effected by injuries to the front three of Pulasic, Lukaku and Werner and injuries and tooth surgery to RLC, Azpilucueta and Christiansen.

I have zero complaints re team selection considering this is the league Cup I would have been fuming if we hadn’t made these changes.

Saul was actually very good too for those who didn’t see game and want objective take on that whoscored recorded him as 7.87 which is a very good score, only havertz and alonso scored higher

I have to admit it is a bit of a worry despite our good results that we need to rely on both our keepers so much. Not sure what the reasons are but I think we missing a proper creative player which is obviously not easy to find anywhere. Team selection doesn’t really count too much cause most of the squad are more less on par and yesterday Southampton also had about 8 non regulars. I think we have top keepers, very good defenders, decent enough central midfield, the attackers upfront including strikers is where it’s open for debate. Pulisic if he wasn’t so injury prone could be one of the solutions.

Why does Mount take so many set pieces, his missed 3 penalties in the last few weeks. His free kicks are always sailing over the bars, even most of his corners but not all are bad. It appears that he decides for himself

Lucky, sadly we’re not seeing very much of you on the Chelsea site lately which is a miss for the site tbh.

I can understand though there’s a bit more meat on here than just Chelsea for everyone to get their teeth into Ole etc etc and everyone only has so much time, be great to see you back on the Chelsea site posting regularly though. Cheers 9’s
