I felt a little disappointed for a while during second half nine as I was very confident after that first before sending off too.
I take the positives though because that gap lamps was taking about closing looks like it has been closed and we are going to compete mate.

I feel a sense of buyers remorse with callum since we effectively caved in when under transfer ban and interest from Munich and gave him a contract far beyond reasonable. If we cover the wages with the loan and protect ourselves with options I am for this loan.

I won’t rule out the deal being £29.8m, the way Chelsea negotiated in this deal suggested we were demanding a bigger fee for Zouma. and I trust Marina to pull off this miracle deal if she convinced Real Madrid to include clauses that state if they qualify for the CL in Hazard’s deal, then convinced Athletico to pay £53m for a player whom the manager publicly said was not in his plans and who refused to train and return to the club. trust this lady will work her magic.

“Talks are progressing over a move that would see Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi join Borussia Dortmund before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Standard Sport understands that discussions are moving well regarding a deal for the Blues winger to head to the Bundesliga on a season-long loan.

Whilst part of me is slightly concerned that CHO to Dortmund could leave us a tad short with so many games to play including the Club World Cup in Tokyo this probably on balance makes sense because CHO needs consistent game time which I don’t think currently he will get at Chelsea given who is ahead of him and if that’s what’s on offer from Dortmund it could be good for him and ultimately the Club.

Yeah I obviously get that Pagan but it’s a fine line between protecting the squad and letting players go out on loan to get game time and that’s what Tuchel is currently balancing up we’re about to hit a heavy fixture schedule of League Cup games and CL games being added to PL games and then there’s the Club World Cup in December which causes postponed PL games and a trip to Japan too.
I think it might hinge on who Tuchel might be able to add to the squad before letting CHO go but we’ll see.

The problem with callum though is if he stays I can only see him maybe playing now and again as wing back against weaker teams. In terms of forward positions supporting romelu I would have havertz, mount, pulisic, ziyech and even werner ahead of him so that’s 5 players ahead of him for 2 spots so unless one of those 5 go I think we have let callum go on loan an play

Kounde a game of bluff Chelsea won’t be held to ransom though. Saul Niguez looks like he might be back on?

Think currently, the Saul deal is more important than the Kunde deal, I feel we are a little bit lighter in midfield. if we got both it’s fine, but if I have to sacrifice one, I would sacrifice Kunde because we have so many options, Silva, Christensen, Rudiger, Chalobah, Reece James, and Azpi can all play there. and we still have Sarr at the club. but to win the league, you need goal scoring and experienced midfielders. and with Kante having fitness issues, I think getting Saul makes sense.

Yeah YB, we have 3 super options for the 2 midfield positions. Ideally 4 but getting a quality midfielder happy to be 4th choice to start with is tough.
With the defenders I do think kounde would be a big plus because whenever James can’t play (like next few games because of suspension) tuchels preferred alternative at wing back is azpi which would take him out of back 3.
I see christensen and silva holding down the central spot between them, rudiger left and azpi right. That leaves just chalobah as cover for the outside centre backs if rudi injured or if azpi has to play wing back. Christensen could play either side too and he is an important player for us but rather him be our central guy.
To be honest I think we could do with both a defender and extra mid coming in and that’s why the club is trying but I am very happy with the squad we have should one or both not be possible.
