cm….
Funny when I read that back… Jose was talking about Moses… He sent on loan, Cuadrado… Sent on loan… Traore… tearing up trees in Ligue 1 in France. Jose just couldnt be bothered working with him as Salah didnt fancy covering right back for 70 minutes a game. Salah scored goals for chelsea.. A bit like Batshuayi does when he puts on the shirt… Just goals are clearly not enough for Jose or Conte.
KDB like Lukaku was never going to make the side because Jose prefered to re-sign Drogba… He preferred to work with older players and not back the youth who were clearly very good to anyone who saw them. Except Jose.

6th March 2018 at 1:23 pm #17324Fair dos 442. Could Chelsea have gone against the agreement with Roma, it initially was a 1 year loan. Saying that, Salah said it himself he was not ready for the PL at the time. Bringing back Drogba was unusual by Jose considering he had Rom, but at the same time he just signed Costa. Jose has 2 young players in Lukaku and De Bruyne who wanted to play. With Willian and Hazard already at the club, it was always going to be a struggle for De Bruyne. Musonda is another quality winger at Chelsea and he is suffering the same fate as De Bruyne, although recently signing a new contract. The way some teams operate now, they seem to focus on other teams youngsters rather than give their own a opportunity. Spurs and 1 or 2 others being an exception.

6th March 2018 at 1:38 pm #17325442, we’re never know what truly goes on at Chelsea but in respect of transfers wanted Lukaku but the Board failed to close the deal and United stole in.
I’m sure Conte was happy to take Morata as a second choice Conte helped bring him to Juve but Morata never played for Morata at Juve he left shortly after he joined but I’m sure he had an input in Morata joining Chelsea. But Conte wanted Walker but the club baulked at the £50m fee and he ended up with Zappacosta for £22m, Conte wanted Bonucci and ended up with Rudiger, he wanted Sandro and ended up with Emerson and if Drinkwater was always on Conte’s wish list why did it take the end of 3 transfer windows to sign him.
I don’t buy that Conte had no say in transfers but he hasn’t had the final say and the same goes for outgoings he didn’t want Matic sold and he certainly wouldn’t have wanted him sold to United.
And whilst I’m not absolving Conte of his mistakes this season and the constant washing of the club’s dirty laundry in front of the media is probably his worst mistake there are deeper problems at Chelsea than Conte imo this will be the third Chelsea Manager to leave the club a season after winning the title and there are clearly situations and structures within the club that need fixing and if we are to reap any rewards from our rich vein of exciting young players we need a Manager who can last longer than a Season before he comes under pressure even after winning titles.

6th March 2018 at 1:47 pm #17333cm, Musonda is a talent but he’s not ready for regular first team football at Chelsea right now he’s still yet to secure a starting place at Celtic but 18 months under Brendan Rodgers will do wonders for him imo.

6th March 2018 at 1:54 pm #17337Anonymous9’s… Its all the past that lot. Chelsea are poorer for it.
While I fault conte this season for an underwhelming campaign, He just hasnt got the best out of the players… Many have not found form, the thing that gives it away for me is that it appears none of the players are actually enjoying playing for the club. They look plain miserable considering the money they’re paid.
None of them are giving 100 percent to the cause… So is it the players who need replacing or the manager… In this case both. Hazard has been aweful this season. Dress it up however you want but he’s back to his worst best almost as if Jose is at the helm. He’s not scoring, not creating, demanding to play as a striker to the detriment of the team. Conte, Luiz, Courtouis, Hazard probably all need to leave. We will have to take a season of transition… Would be delighted to see Ranieri back to build a side in budget and with youth… At least he could see the talent in JT albeit needing to be pushed to play by injuries.

6th March 2018 at 2:08 pm #17342442, sorry mate we will have to agree to disagree Hazard was really poor on Sunday but who wasn’t but he’s been brilliant at times the season imo at another level good at other times and has probably had half a dozen games where he’s been poor. And I don’t get where you think he’s demanding to play as a striker I would say it’s the reverse.
I think Roman is already involved and there will be massive changes at Chelsea in the Summer DOF, Manager legends being bought back as Coaches and significant transfers both in and out.
I agree with you though we need a Manager committed to giving some of our brightest prospects a chance which ironically is what Conte is beginning to do but we need to give the next Manager more than 18 months. Cheers 999
