Hi Andy, yes hopefully. I’m pretty much guaranteed a ticket as I have enough supporter points and I’m in the CL ticket scheme – just seen on SSN that both us and Inter get 20,000 each.
There’s also about six of us that enrolled in the UEFA ballot, where if you’re drawn out, get two tickets. not sure of the chances but hopefully there’ll be a few going on a ‘jolly boys outing’ to Istanbul._____________________________

18th May 2023 at 10:50 am #206953Also just seen on SSN that RMs XG was only 0.01 – is that a mistake on SSN part? Personally, I don’t pay much attention to XG but has anyone ever seen one that low?

18th May 2023 at 11:21 am #2069543ps, I’m led to believe the final will be of free viewing. I think You Tube will have it available to stream. Led to believe a lot of people out there use Firesticks for streaming.

18th May 2023 at 11:50 am #206955Just a theory as to why Pep doesn’t have the CL record he should have by now with other teams since Barcelona.
I think it’s the case that his sides are ultimate footballing sides with Pep almost micromanaging everything from the sidelines – you see how frustrated he gets with players not doing the right thing even having a go at them after the game even if they’ve won comfortably. So his teams aren’t so much about the ruthless desire to win, but the ruthless desire to play his ultimate football way (which still tends to bring lots of wins). I don’t think for example he’s like Klopp in that he wants to make the opposition feel terrible. He just demands footballing perfection (which may still make the opposition ground down) but that’s his ultimate goal. And whilst this has perhaps made him overthink certain games in the CL over the years, I think he’s now got to the point where his team pretty much has reached footballing perfection albeit aided with a few more characters like Haaland so they now look good for the CL. But I think that’s why it’s taken him this long. It’s taken that long to induce that perfection whereas maybe at Barca he had ready made players already familiar with his style.

Yeah Giblue, your eyes did not deceive you, except for that long risk drive from Kroos that hit the bar they didn’t come close to worrying you.
As good as you are on the ball I think you are better now because of huge improvements in how you are set up when you lose the ball and need to defend. Effectively 4 centre backs on the field proving the solidity you would expect with such a line up, but this hasn’t come with the expected drop off in offensive play that would normally come from playing 4 all out defenders.
Of course this is chiefly down to pep and the outstanding level of coaching because its very hard to get players with egos and bank balances like city players to really play as a true collective off and on the ball. Pep done that with barca and city and I am starting to realise he deserves even more respect than I already give him.
