15th August 2020 at 9:59 pm #151888City boy, FairPlay as you are spot on
Adlab will blame var and anyone else but pep.
Absolutely bizarre team selection from pepYet again in a huge cl tie, he makes some real bizarre decisions which have cost city
I switched it off at 1-1 as I thought city would slaughter them.
Astounded Lyon scored another two.

15th August 2020 at 10:05 pm #151893I’m guessing Adlab will be back on the null and void bandwagon after this!
This wasn’t a tale of individual mistakes by City players as some fans will have you believe, Pep got it simply wrong. He has a number of times this season already. He is a champion of the plan A when plan A is working and spanking relegation fodder eight nil but a chump at plan B or C. I didn’t catch the first half but sounds like he started with plan C!
Ederson, most over rated goalie in the PL? So good with the ball at his feet he could play midfield but maybe pretty poor at actual goal keeping? That 3rd goal he should of held, that’s just basic keeping skills that you’d expect from any PL keeper. Not the first time for City either.

15th August 2020 at 10:09 pm #151898Probably best for City as they’d have been torn apart by Bayern playing like that.
Been lots of talk about City’s defensive errors this season being mainly because of Laporte’s injuries. Don’t think they’ve been any better or less error-prone since his return in all honesty.
Really time Pep started delivering in this competition considering the sides he’s had competing in it since he won it with Barca.

15th August 2020 at 10:25 pm #151913I just donβt get why he went with 5 at the back againest Lyon who finished 7th in the French league and have hardly played since March? Leaving so many creative players out for a negative line up. Lyon play 5 at the bsck but itβs Lyon ffs. So disappointing for city
Last season at spurs he went all negative and it cost city.
Few years ago he went with 3 centre backs for Munich v Barca and played a very high line and got slaughtered
2 years ago city were all over Liverpool and 1-0 at half time. In full control and he then moves ferdhino to centre back and Liverpool took over and won 2-1
3 exits at qtr final stage after 750m spent in 3 years. Itβs not good enough as he was brought in to win the cl
Stevo canβt see anyone winning it but Munich. Such a pity as would have loved to see city v Munich in the semi fjnsl

15th August 2020 at 10:26 pm #151917In the league Bayern and RBL shared the points for both games although the former won convincingly in the cup but its clear they are well matched. Having said that if you look at Hans-Dieter Flick’s record at Bayern it’s actually rather exceptional after he turned a team needing a rebuild into Europe’s most in form team.

15th August 2020 at 10:37 pm #151927Ye threeps since Kovac went Munich have been brilliant
4-2-3-1 with pace out wide and their full backs are exceptional
Itβs more or less the sane Munich team from last season but with a different manager who has really turned things around

15th August 2020 at 10:39 pm #151930City,its scary how a one-man team they have become! Without KDB they are just like Barcelona without Messi. As for Pep,a complete failure in the CL the last 7 seasons.

15th August 2020 at 10:51 pm #151939Pep got it so, so wrong tonight, it’s quite unbelievable. Play three at the back, no creativity in the centre of mf and KdB wasted on the right (first half). And if you are going to play three at the back, at least play with more mobile, attacking full backs – Mendy would have been a far better option than the predominantly right footed Cancelo. Also, why play a young CB who has stated his desire to return to Spain.
Having said that you can’t legislate far Sterling’s howler of a miss, one that he’ll see over and over again on tv in the coming months (and years possibly). And yet another joke of a var decision for Lyon’s second goal – definitely not offside but a clear trip on Laporte. I thought this system was introduced in to eliminate “clear and obvious errors”.
On the bright side, it saves a humiliation at the hands of the German bullies – certainly one that would have materialised had we qualified and played like that._____________________________

15th August 2020 at 11:11 pm #151957Crazy thing is stevo, a Barcalona player scored twice and assisted one goal in their defeat last night. Itβs absolute maddness. Couthino is still a Barca player. How could he play last night. Itβs crazy

15th August 2020 at 11:26 pm #151969The fact that Barca paid so much for Coutinho should have rung alarm bells. You see this often at big clubs who have been dominant for so long – they have changes of manager and to compensate they increasingly get more and more desperate to stay at the top.
