We’ll see Nil. Still very early days. Have you noticed though how Utd and Liverpool never seem to be good at the same time? You were crap when we were good and when you were good we were crap. Now, again, our mini revival seems to be coinciding with your supposed decline. It’s like a rule of the universe that we can’t be good at the same time.

24th February 2023 at 10:06 am #204733Ed, there was 2008/09. Not that it’s one we like to remember. That was Rafa’s over-tinkering for me that cost us there.

24th February 2023 at 10:10 am #204734It’s a great opportunity Nine, for sure. Seem to remember hearing the same when we faced Villareal in the EL final not long ago though ππ. We should have too much for Newcastle but a one-off final over 90mins can really go either way and no Utd fan will be counting this one as won just yet.

24th February 2023 at 10:32 am #204736Bruno is the only ‘Diamond In The Rough’, or a spoilt baby in behaviour. Otherwise, there is harmony and players with wholesome of good attitude, work ethic and team players fighting for each other.
Ten-Hag, hasn’t drastically changed the facet of the team and given faith to players he’s inherited; some as far as revival, i.e. Marcus Rashford.
Drives Discipline, feet kept to the ground, and conducts himself well. Not too far away from delivering Trophies and I’m sure in due course these will follow.

24th February 2023 at 10:36 am #204737I think a lot will depend on how much playing last night will affect the players on Sunday. We’ve had far too many games recently and that will catch up on the players at some point.

24th February 2023 at 10:36 am #204738Yeah, good spot Mikus. I think Rafa went too far though that season with ‘fachts’.
He let the psychologically get to him.
I always thought the 1995-96 season was the closest in the Two Teams being at their Best. The Cup Final ending broke Liverpool.

24th February 2023 at 10:58 am #204739Ah this is a different utd team Ed. It has character and balls with casemerio and varane etc. I do believe utd will in trouble if rashford gets injured.
Fancy them to really push on under ten hagg and win at least two trophies this season
Gas, was saying to my mate exactly the same. Itβs either utd or Liverpool who are good but never at the same time

24th February 2023 at 11:08 am #204741Ed, Be amazed if United don’t get a comfortable win. But like you say you never know in a Final.

24th February 2023 at 1:56 pm #204744I’ll be amazed if Karius doesn’t have the game of his life. Usually happens with the lesser known keepers against us in big games. Tell you what (Nine/Sean), I want to see this much optimism the next time you’re in finals π. As Alfie says, the amount of games we’re playing is going to catch up with us eventually. Newcastle will be fresh and hungry and anything can happen in a one off game. Over 2 legs, I’d have us to win it, for sure. But a tight defence and sneak a goal and it’s a cup for them. Can even go to pens easily.

7th March 2023 at 4:10 pm #205187We can dust this one off again…
So, Jammy Dodgers against the Germans… tough one to call (as in who I’m going to be cheering for! π ), let alone who I think might actually win it!), maybe peno’s for my own personal amusement.
As for my boys tomorrow night, who bloody knows, wasn’t that impressed with Milan in the first leg, but they’re Italian and know how to shut up shop… can see it being 0-0 on the night if I’m honest!

7th March 2023 at 9:25 pm #205193Someone is going to have to explain that one to me… Chelsea win a peno, Chelsea take the peno, Chelsea miss the peno, but players from BOTH teams are in the box (due to a retard run-up), peno gets retaken, Chelsea score…
